    Crazy how they get tall and spindly at day 6 then shrink back down! I thought mine were leggy because they weren’t getting enough light. Instead, they’re probably at the point just before they shorten.

      @@didierliraa Yeah I thought so too. It looks legged, too thin and too tall... Can't support the leaves that's why it fell. I think the growing light they used isn't enough.

    tip: you can use bottom of lettuce for planting, you just need to cut the bottom off, put it in a glass of water make sure the bottom part only touches the water, after 3 days, it'll grow! place it in a pot cover the bottom part with soil then you'll have unlimited lettuce!

      This will make BOLTED lettuce more times than not.. can be controlled if monitored closely but bolted means instead of leafs it produces seed and reaches for the sky in a "jack in the bean stalk" kind of way

    • @bagelbagelwah5047
      @bagelbagelwah5047 Před 10 měsíci

      Late to this comment, but the most likely reason your lettuce seedlings are getting leggy is that they have too little light. Plants that don't have enough light will try to stretch as high as possible. Unfortunately, this also makes them very leggy and top-heavy, so they'll fall over eventually.
      The lettuce shown in this video looks like it's stretching for light too.

    Poor soil mix lettuce germinated in 2 days with proper soil mix.....you planted it to shallow lettuce are short root crops an the root grows up to the surface over time should be planted deeper......lack of nutrition and sunlight need to fertilize with organic 15-30-15 fertilizer every 2 weeks from the time they germinate
