Them getting distracted is one of the most frustrating things ever 😭😭😭. It stresses me out. But I've made some progress since the training yesterday. Today when I made her do commands, the look at me and leave it, before going outside while letting her see outside because of our see through door, and changed the reward to a food that she really liked, I was able to get her attention outside and had her listen to me 😭😭😭.
I got a Huskie / Eskimo mix, What a pain to train her. She does sit & paw . I cant get her to come, When shes playing with other dogs or when leafs are blowing . Shes humps like a male dog & she is spayed. Still not poop trained 100%, Work in progress. Shes 5 month almost 6, got her @ 4 months. Hope it gets better .

Lamar Mansoor easy fix: just let them do a trick like sit, give them a treat like meat then close your hand they'll bite and once they stop biting you reward them, do this a couple a times during a week and it will do wonders. This is kinda like his video on releasing toys.

I really need help with my dog, I tried too teach him to lay down using this method and it works but he won't lay down without me putting my hand down with a treat. How do I get him to lay down on command?
I know this is four years old, but I figure people might read in the future. Repetition helps, just keep luring them and make sure you speak clearly. A lot of people just underestimate how long it takes them to perform on command. When you do try to move on to just the command, reward even the smallest movement downward at first. Build up from there. If you still can't get him to do it, there's another technique I've found that can work using a stay command. Make him sit and stay, then place the treat on the ground. Instead of his usual 'come' command, say down with a similar enthusiasm.
I wish he would come help me with my puppy I need him as a emotional support dog for me and it's hard for me to train him. I also can't afford to pay for puppy classes. I also can't be around others due to my mental health issues. but I in joy watching him work with dog.

I love this but the only reason she wasnt laying down at forst was because you were bring the treat out to far allowing them to stand and walk after it, try bringing it almost between her legs but any other tips bc my pup knows down but i need help weening her off hand signals
Sounds great Zac. There are some difference between breeds when training, but in general your information will help lots of dog. Other wise there wouldn't be a dog intelligence list right! 😃

Your videos are really helpful. We have a problem with cats. When ever our dog sees a cat outside, he goes crazy! He doesn't hear, us he doesn't react to food. At first we thought maybe he was just interested and he wanted to play, but one time we didn't notice a cats, but he did and grabbed it. (The cat is ok)

Zak, my puppy (5-months old) does well at picking up new commands, e.g. play dead, roll over, shake, sit, speak, quiet, etc., but now she just runs through them all when I'm trying to reinforce one. I find it really frustrating and difficult to know if she's understanding or just running through the process. What should I do?

I find it really frustrating and difficult to know if she's understanding or just running through the process. What should I do?
Zak my 2 month and 2 week old husky puppy has a biting problem. When he is happy instead of licking he will bite. Also when he's excited he will bite or hump. do you have any advice or am I expecting to much of him. Thank you.

my dog get over exited when it see me after a week or so, it jump on me,but if I walk it's start biting my hand, how to stop my it biting.
