Most people usually hand lacquered the amps...that's most likely why the color differences. As far as I know, Fender never lacquered the tweed themselves.

If you can resist the urge to flip it for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$,
I hope you keep it for the rest of your life. Once you bond with one of those things, if you let it go, yer gonna miss it....a lot. I've had my 5F2 Princeton since August of '88, and the next time it changes hands will be at my estate sale. Lots of people who've seen it and played through it have sung the same sad song, "I used to have one of those, but......." Try to hang onto yours if at all possible.
