You did basically write it haha but truly became a better book from your feedback 💜💜 also aerie has the best sweaters and laughing cause I watched lala’s video and she said she got sweaters from aerie and I literally said to my bf “what if she got the same sweater I did?!” It wasn’t but I’m glad we both had this train of thought

I love beaches. How beautiful! That writing retreat sounds so peaceful and fun. I’m glad you all had a wonderful time and I look forward to seeing all of the other author vlogs from the writing retreat. Copy edits are so much work. I’m so glad you got all that done and started on your next draft of the YA thriller.
OMG, I know that exciting feeling of getting books signed by author friends! Some author friends (Lillie Lainoff, Jen Ferguson + Carly Heath) were in town for NCTE and I live a half hour from Anaheim, so a bunch of us got to meet for lunch. I wasn’t at NCTE. I just went to meet them nearby. But it was so exciting to meet them all and have them sign my books. Lillie is my critique partner and I have beta’ed many of Carly’s books. So exciting to meet everyone in person. I get it. 😭

Q: I’m gearing up to query, and I’m already dreading one question in particular that always comes up. Who is the audience for your book? I write YA, but I’m thinking that’s probably not what they’re looking for lol. Could you maybe share your approach to that question, or maybe some tips?? Thank you!!
Unfortunately, I think who you are writing for is so individual and case by case! I always tend to write for my child self when I'm writing MG, but also those of any age who love the tropes I do!

unfortunately not. BUT we got it all figured out and I'm happy with it!
