I drive 793 ds and Cs the power these beasts put out is phenomenal u could have upto 250 tons which is what they are supposed to be maxed out at but u can get 320 easily on them depending on the material and still pull six gear on a flat surface which is 30-32 miles per hour
my grandpa used to work on the electric motors in the hubs. my brother now works at a caterpillar dealership, too bad they dont get anything like this there though. at 16, im wondering where my career will take me, and this path would leave me happy.
Ask your local Caterpillar dealer. They'll be happy to write one up for you. Just one thing, unless you live in a mining area. Their service bays are too small.

These are mechanical drive. Cat and others also make diesel electric drive.
