V. V. Lakshminarayana was a former Joint Director for India's Central Bureau of Investigation. He is known for leading the investigations like OMC Scandal, Emaar Properties, 2G spectrum scam, Satyam Scandal, Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter, and Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy's Disproportionate Assets case. V.V Lakshmi Narayana is currently posted as Additional Director General of Police in Maharashtra. He previously held the post of Joint Commissioner of Police of Thane, Maharashtra and before that as Inspector general of police Rank under Y-category security for dealing with high-profile corruption cases
