I’m 8 months pregnant with our first baby and we were in a pretty bad and very traumatizing car accident today. I spent all day in the emergency room having tests done and the baby monitored. Reminds me of my dearly departed mother in law. She was a pioneer lady who raised 11 children on the farm through good times and bad. She was such a hard worker, an amazing cook and gardener, and prepared meals from her fresh vegetables for her family. She was also strong in her faith as you are and was thankful for her blessings. I admire Mamaw’s transparency and honesty about life. God brought her through that awful grief and has given her so much strength, I have a drug addict son whom has put us through years living in a nightmare. I feel that I can’t live long enough to get over everything we have endured by him. Terribly sorry for the loss of your son, this is a very sensitive life story and my admiration has grown even more. My grandmother made this but without the cheese. We used a hand meat grinder bolted to the counter. I just remembered, she added hard boiled eggs to hers. We called it "Nonnie's spread."

I grew up on bologna salad & there was a little convenience store called Lawson’s in Columbus, Ohio that had a small deli in the back & they sold that stuff by the pounds, sold out everyday! Those were some of the best memories I have in this old 75 year mind. I have relatives from the Beckley area. My great grandparents were the Butchers. Also around the Parkersburg area. My mom got pregnant with her 8th child at the same time two of my sisters were pregnant with their 1st child❤your a very strong women/mother. My mom gave up and died 4 months after my oldest sister over dosed. My mom was also religious like you. Miss her so much❤

My dad was famous in our family for making the salad. He made it for our family, gatherings, weddings, and just about any other occasion, he called and ham salad, however and for most of my life, I thought it was ham until I watched him make it one day.

I love bologna fried. I buy a large chunk and cut it to size and fry it. I also dip it in egg, then bread crumbs and fry it. May God's grace be with you all.

It’s orange and has relish in it. It comes in a jar the size of mayonnaise. Google Kraft and Best Maid sandwich spread. It’s great when added to potato salad with the mayonnaise and mustard.
A trip down memory lane, a girlfriend used to bring that in her lunch. She used jalapeño bologna when she could find it and also sandwich spread. I think you might find it at walmart. Loved the recipe, and will make it again ❤

So sorry for your loss. God is so good to bring us through the toughest times. Just lost my mom in June 94 yrs. Almost 95 this Sept. She still got around with her walker. She had Alzheimer's but she still knew all her kids. And had a sweet spirit.
I was raised on that bologna salad way back when. After the holidays it became the ham salad. When you were a large family you made everything stretch and no one complained.
Who would of thought to make bologna salad. I will make it right away. You know Kraft have that sandwich spread in stores up here in Rhode Island. Love you lady!🤗
This brings back such memories! Back in the 60s-70s, my grandma made bologna salad with ring bologna-kinda like you find polish sausage or kielbasa, which was commonly found back then- with a manual meat grinder that was attached to her kitchen counter. Gosh I loved that stuff! Especially on soft white bread 😋
I remember the sandwich spread. We still have it in stores here. I think it’s just mostly mayo with the sweet relish and a bit of ketchup to make it pinkish. Our church ladies always made these baloney salad sandwiches for the midnight lunches at weddings and for funerals. Those and the canned asparagus with velveeta cheese sandwiches were always good.

My daughter redecated her life to God on Sunday and died of overdose the next Friday- may 13th. 2 years ago

My mom got pregnant with her 8th child at the same time two of my sisters were pregnant with their 1st child❤your a very strong women/mother. My mom gave up and died 4 months after my oldest sister over dosed. My mom was also religious like you. Miss her so much❤

I’m sooo sorry to hear about your son!! My mama was just the sweetest, wonderful, strong, amazing, precious human being. Mamaw reminds me of her. I lost her in 2018, so watching these videos just warms my heart ❤️
My dad was famous in our family for making the salad. He made it for our family, gatherings, weddings, and just about any other occasion, he called and ham salad, however and for most of my life, I thought it was ham until I watched him make it one day.
Bologna salad sandwiches..oh my gosh...for bologna lovers this is brilliant. My dear sweet Ron would have loved this. He sure enjoyed fried bologna and eggs whenever we went camping. I also dip it in egg, then bread crumbs and fry it.

So sorry for the loss of your son. My mom made this bologna and she used the big silver meat grinder that screws to a bread board. I have one to I have to make this it's so good. Send some rain to Minnesota it's terribly dry here. No lawn mowing lawns are brown. God Bless.

It’s orange and has relish in it. It comes in a jar the size of mayonnaise. Google Kraft and Best Maid sandwich spread. It’s great when added to potato salad with the mayonnaise and mustard.

So sorry for your loss. God is so good to bring us through the toughest times. Just lost my mom in June 94 yrs. Almost 95 this Sept. She still got around with her walker. She had Alzheimer's but she still knew all her kids. And had a sweet spirit.

I was raised on that bologna salad way back when. After the holidays it became the ham salad. When you were a large family you made everything stretch and no one complained.

This brings back such memories! Back in the 60s-70s, my grandma made bologna salad with ring bologna-kinda like you find polish sausage or kielbasa, which was commonly found back then- with a manual meat grinder that was attached to her kitchen counter. Gosh I loved that stuff! Especially on soft white bread 😋
I remember the sandwich spread. We still have it in stores here. I think it’s just mostly mayo with the sweet relish and a bit of ketchup to make it pinkish. Our church ladies always made these baloney salad sandwiches for the midnight lunches at weddings and for funerals. Those and the canned asparagus with velveeta cheese sandwiches were always good.
