Huge thanks to Malletech for these awesome mallets! I've been using the LN1Bs on a regular basis and absolutely love them. If you can't make much noise but still want to practice, I can't recommend them highly enough. They won't wake the baby...or your parents. Haha! - Zábava
Your positivity is infectious, man.
Yeah, the channel is distilled joy.
i was thinking the same thing its awesome
Who in the world would dislike this
His positivity inspires me to be a better percussionist
Probably kids who think it is funny
This guy reminds me of Michael Jackson and I love it. He’s so wholesome
Wait I can't tell if you my sister or not😂
Thank you for a "mini-master class" of the marimba, mallets and music theory. I just could not stop watching. 1000s of hours practice may be an understatement. I found myself watching your forearms, which are incredibly developed with very well defined muscles, which I assume took many years to acquire through playing. When using the LN2B, all I thought of "Yellow Bird" by Arthur Lyman. I think Julius Wechter would also be proud to hear this. Thank you again.
Yes!!! Yellow Bird is so beautiful. I hadn't thought of it. Thanks so much for that reference!
Aaron, I love how you just talk to the camera as if it’s a person. And your positivity is absolutely riveting and contagious/infectious. Literally, today I was in a rotten mood all day. Then I saw this video and just perked right up. Thanks for sharing such positive emotion and joy in everything you do. I myself am not a marimba player, I tried to do a few marimba pieces at “MoWo” when we were there, but I was awful. But your musicianship has made me get up and go practice some percussion and drum kit tonight. Love love love this my friend!!!! Be safe-be well. Thank you again!!!!! - Nate
Nate!!!! It's so great to see you hear. Thanks for taking the time to say hi. I know what you mean; I've been finding myself inspired lately by things that I don't necessarily play or do. Just the passion and excitement can be such a catalyst. I really appreciate your comment! Be safe yourself, and ttyl!
This man inspired me to play the bells/marimbas and I’ve been playing for 2 years now. Thank you dude for the inspiration. I strive to become a better musician and keep pushing with my music. Your awesome man!
That is awesome!!
2 years already? Yessss! Lmk if you ever have any questions :)
Imagine getting left hanging by a Low C 😐. It's okay here you go ✋
Trif0rce, thx bro! ✋
I don't think I'm inviting low C back for the next video...
Interesting product. Good luck to everyone who particopates!
You're crazy. And that's good. You're always smiling, light-hearted... Never change, man !
At 0:14 I expected "I juggle rhythm" 😊
Haha! Aw man, now I hear it too 😂
This sounds really awesome... Now I just need a marimba for the mallets... and space for the marimba :P
Ha! I still need a marimba myself. But this local percussion studio is better than nothing!
I watched twenty minutes of an instrument I have zero interest in. No regrets whatsoever, your personality is AMAZING Aaron! You're practically selling me a marimba
I love the feeling of brain cells dissolving whenever I inhale the smell of a new pair of drumsticks and or mallets
o-o
The man is back
Love the attitude! Ultra well spoken too. Good stuff!
Imagine being your neighbor and being awake in the middle of the night for some unrelated reason, and just being confused as to this sensation you were experiencing for a few moments. eventually, you turn your ear up more keenly to the ceiling and hear the quietest but most concise marimba music from your neighbor. That beautiful, awe-stricken confusion. xD
It's like this guy never gets older and honestly it's so beautiful
If you were my neighbour, I wouldnt complain at all!!
I don't even play marimba but this review was awesome to watch
The sound experience is pretty marvelous
at 12:58 I feeled exactly the same thing I get when I try some funny things when tweaking oscillators on a synth, you just get amazed at how good that simple waves resonate and can be built upon
Those hyper light of touch mallets could be awesome to record some soundtrack parts in any composition where you want them to be key but not in the front line of the composition
Best wishes for 2021
Overjoyed is one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs. I got so excited when you started to play it 😍. If you ever revisit this song please post it. I’d love to see it! Your passion for this instrument is so cute.
Yes YEET
Groovy
Thank you Aaron! I love the passion and honesty!! All the Best! 🎶
you deserve more subscribers my man seriously. Keep up the awesome work bruh
I'm not a marimba player, and I didn't think I would understand or enjoy this. I was just like "Well, I'm subscribed, I might as well see what this is"...
But I couldn't help but watch to the end. You're so much fun to watch! I loved it!
You're so lovable and positive!!
i love you man
That Mario video got me hocked to your channel lmao
Dang I was trying to listen to the comparisons and next thing I knew I was almost asleep. It’s so peaceful to listen to.
The intro was great hahaha
Your username is epic! 🤣
Whoah! The soft ones sound like an organ!
The marimba!
Dire dire docks at the end man, so cool.
2 B’s or not 2 B’s, THAT is the question!! If someone was to ask me to explain music I would say just 2 words,Aaron Grooves!! I could watch you play for hours and hours. I am amazed every time I see you play the marimba . I love it when you play classical pieces! Use your new mallets well!!
Haha! If only you knew how much effort it took not to say "2Bs or not 2Bs" in this video 🤣. And thanks! With great mallets comes great responsibility!
New video! Also sick mallets.
YAY he's back
Your so positive it makes me smile and get happy too
Yes please... late night mallets!!!!!
Keep up the beautiful work!
I think that your a wonderful person! That mallet demonstration was awesome. You a consumet musician. Are the Ln mallets top heavy? Are the GS 13 top heavy. I prefer the ln2B. Thank you!!! Merry Christmas!!
Aaron you are amazing!
Hello, I live in Japan. I'm looking forward to the video update. Please do your best from now on!
What a show!
thanks low C!

Keep your natural like that.
Sonic the hedgehog remix is coming I can feel it
I just filmed a little Sonic update 2 nights ago. Just to let people know what's going on. I'll probably release tomorrow or Saturday :)
Can't wait !
Awesome man
How the heck can you make mallets interesting? Always love your content.
Ha! I guess that means my love of marimba successfully shines through. Thx!
He is a good entertainer. But...but mallets are just the best. They are naturally interesting.
@@displayclayton3407 Always happy to see a new video he makes.
Good job lil C
This man is great
I love your voiceeee
I love your channel, love to see you play my countries national instrument.
PERFECT.
wow! :)
I'm the 57th person to watch this video! on December 7th, I launched my 35 subscriber special!
Congrats!
40 now :)
I have to buy a subwoofer, like right now!
The noise those LN mallets make bring comfort to my heart
Cool
love the avatar
Yours as well!
I thought Michael Jackson was dead and didn't know he was playing marimba that great.
The goat🐐
❤
@12:25 Uhh... DO A DUET!!! One marimbist with regular mallet and one marimbist with the LATE NIGHT MALLETS!!! Or you could make a recording multi-tracking and overdubbing with different mallets.
An example is British Bass player Jean Jaques Burnal, who used SIX base tracks on all the songs on one of his bands albums (yeah, the Stranglers are unfortunately named... And the album was called The Gospel According the the MenInBlack, even worse! good music though...) Anyways, these late night mallets would be good for MIXING IT UP!!! IMHO
My guess 17 or 19
7:00 hahaha I watched it at 02:30 am
Man ur way to underrated
Nice Afro
Talks about thin his walls are while standing in front of a concrete block wall. lol. I assume the other walls are thinner?
You very cool ;)
The Music in this video is really good
I wish you posted and shared more your music ! Advices ! Pieces !
If you struggle with editing, I can help you ! I am not a very good sound designer, but if the audio is ready and beautiful (these mics were perfect !) I can help with transition, text, rendering maybe ? Or advices if you need so. But I think you are already a “master” level.
Have a great evening !
And please, post a little bit more on this fabulous channel ^^
Sincerely,
WingSun
WingSun thank you so, so much! I'm trying to release more music videos, and your comment is very encouraging 🙏! I've also been thinking of asking for editing help. It's sooo time consuming (as I'm sure you know). I may have to take you up on that!
@@aarongrooves as you want ! Well as long as you’re not asking a 3D VFX editing with fireballs or a 24h video, I think it should works ^^ I have limited skills in editing too, I am not a professional with a diploma ! But maybe the “how to learn piano” video on my channel could give you a preview of some nice editing ^^
@@WingSun Can you link me to that video you mentioned? Thx!
I know right how could anyone possibly dislike
So I could not hear the "Late Night Mallets" with computer speakers, but I plugged in my Shure 440 head phones, AND THEN EVERYTHING WAS CLEAR!
But The SRH 440s are a little weird, because while the bass is prominent and detailed, it tends to not have any dynamics in the volume level. A little or a lot of bass in the mix will result in the same amount of bass in the headphone. It's weird...
I mic-ed a guitarist a few years ago, and I could not tell if the mics were too close (they were...) because these SRH 440s (supposidly monitor head phones...) would not reflect the closeness of the mics (which recorded a bassyer and bassier tone as I moved them in closer to the amp... ). It was a mess! It was a learning experience!! Don't use SRH 440s for monitoring audio!!! But SRH 440 are GREAT for listening... IMHO
Thanks for sharing. I'm always testing my mixes on a few sources. I have studio monitors (basic ribbon monitors), AKG headphones, and my computer. It sounds different on each, but I haven't experienced that SRH 440 stagnant bass. I'll be Shure to avoid those!
Love your videos but how much this marimba it is like 5000 dollars? I don’t know
This one would be about $15,000-ish.
Please make music with all instrument like stranger things... please please please....🙏🙏🙏🙏
Love your music ❤️❤️
mano esse canal e muito bom
Hit or miss a guess the never miss huh you got quiet mallets and a better you not noise nah
The 6 dislikes are the one who are depressed of positivity around them
Cool it’s Ezra
Ezra!!!!!
If you are looking at this, can I collaborate with you I at least I play the saxophone that’s not that cool though Do you think it’s cool that I play the same to come at eight
I may be overthinking, but why the quotes on "New Mallets"?
Not overthinking at all. I had quotes in an earlier version of the title, but after simplifying it, the quotes really don't make sense . Just removed them. Thanks a ton!

Sorry one question l. Are the mallets heavy? About how heavy are the mallets compared to other popular ones?
The Late Nights aren't too heavy. Pretty comparable to the average mallet I think. The 2Bs seem a hair heavier than the 1Bs, but I'm not sure 🤔
@@aarongrooves ok thanks a bunch aaron. With marching season starting soon, I needed a way to practice late witout disrupting everyone.
I usually have my volume on youtube pretty low so when I heard some of the examples it just straight up sounds like an organ
So how much did that HUGE marimba cost? about $10,000? Probably more! Great investment what ever it cost! IMHO
About $15,000. It's actually not mine. It lives at local percussion studio that I rent space at. I'm hoping to get one, but first I need a bigger space. I have plans...muahaha
Hello, Brazil🇧🇷🎵✌️
Doesn't patent pending mean it still hasn't been granted a patent? Like pending = waiting for? If not I have been lied to my whole life. Anyways awesome video!
Yeah that’s right.. why the confusion?
@@jamie123b well in the video he made a joke that you cant steal the design of the mallets because it was patent pending. can you not steal the design even if it's just patent pending? idk doesn't really matter it's just semantics
groovy beans not sure actually, but he sort of made a statement ‘don’t steal the design' rather than 'you can’t steal the design'.. perhaps Aaron thinks it’s patent approved, but never mind!
Hey can you teach me a song please and tell me the notes please cause your the best
Please
