I want to teach my daughter to respectfully say, “No thank you,” like Theo did, when she doesn’t feel like being touched. That was just so healthy and I appreciate you guys for showing that you can respect your child’s space as a parent.
I noticed that too. He was so polite in saying that and asserting himself and he obviously felt comfortable in saying what he felt. Some parents would be insulted that their kids don’t want them to touch them, my mom hated when I asked her not to hug me sometimes and did it anyway so it is really nice to see parents who do respect their child’s feelings.

I relate to little Theo so much being the oldest sibling. As an oldest sibling we’re taught to take on a caretaker role while we are still children. We don’t ask for as much, save face when it comes to our feelings and do our best to stay “out of the way” to make life easier for mom and dad. Theo is a big wonderful personality and I hope he doesn’t get into the habit of making himself small like I did for so long ❤️ still trying to break myself out of that

Yes, Exactly first born we take on do much, I didn't ask for much always, always watch out for my sibling fought their battles, covered for them, even took some discipline for sister bc she just couldn't bare it. I hated the attention, it really unnecessary. It's tough but not impossible to be the oldest it makes us stronger mentality, physically and emotionally.

As the eldest i truly feel a deep emotional connection to Theo. The whole hide the feelings dont share them is a thing I do to in order to not just protect myself but to also appear solid and strong to the younger.
This was me. I never wanted to burden my family with my problems. Everyone else always seemed to have so much going on so as the big brother I had to make sure the family didn't get overwhelmed. At least that's what I thought was best in my head

Theo is so incredibly intelligent. I love his maturity at his age. A genuine good boy. For me, God was never wrong to make him the first. I have been watching all these Beleaf in Fatherhood videos and I feel that this family has the hand of God upon it. I am a christian and Glen really is a model to good fathers. In my days we never had this bond with our parents and now that my dad is 73, it is so hard for me to start having that relationship. I don't want to ever be like that with my son or daughter, that is why I am getting tips from Glen and Yvette every week. To the Henry family, I pray that Love, Direction and Self control continue to lead them.
