There is a hierarchy of 'breakup songs'... there are the ones where the singer almost pins it, with lyric or a passage in the music, but doesn't quite hit the mark. And then there are the ones that make you feel like you're still bleeding from it. It's the difference between some teenaged pop song and the emotions expressed in Bonnie Rait's 'I Can't Make You Love Me'. 'When Can I See You Again' has always been in the latter category for me. If you've never heard the acoustic version of 'Days Go By' by Dirty Vegas, I think you'd be surprised at how deep the lyrics are.

While most of the kids were playing basketball at Grandview school yard, little Kenny and Dave Simmons could always be seen heading with their guitars to someone's garage or basement to practice. From then as the shy but focused Indy kid to now as a superstar musician, he has always been the same, extremely talented, incredibly humble, and always open to giving the folks back in his hometown some shine.
