  • We have installed the Progressive 444 rear suspension for Harley on quite a few bikes over the years and we love them. Because we've used these shocks for quite some time, we recommend them and carry them in the Law Abiding Biker Store. In this video, we show you how to install the 444 rear shocks on a Harley and how to adjust them so you have the proper sag. This model shock, like other Progressive shocks, are offered in different weight ratings.

I just realized the Harley Iron 883 I bought has Progressive 444 shocks on them and I had it fpr a month now. Had no idea until I was washing my bike than noticed some logo under my spring I didnt see before and it says Progressive and I looked up part numer and its the black 444. I didnt even know I could adjust them. I even asked the dealer if they were aftermarket shocks and he said no so I never even thought twice until today I noticed the logo underneath. Now im so excited to adjust them and trying to learn how.
It's fumny cuz the entire time riding the bike I kept thinking man people really exaggerated on how bad stock Iron 883 shocks are on youtube cuz it always felt like a nice smooth ride and my lean angle is so good which was another criticism I was beginning to think was exaggerated. Now it makes sense, its because I have Progressive shocks!! 😄 This bike is friggen awesome man! Also way more power than I was expecting too although it does have a stage 1 setup and tune (Python Throwbacks & Screaming Eagle Air Filter & Tune). Dude getting my motorcycle license and a Harley was best thing I did in a long time 😅 IM HAVING A BLAST!!!

Thanks for the video. It definitely helped! I purchased the 444 for my 2014 Ultra Limited. My air shocks don't hold air and when my wife and I ride tandem and loaded, we bottom out all the time. It definitely hurts. It took only 15 minutes to install. I did find the last bolt was very hard to line up and start. I ended up getting on the bike with my wife and had a friend start the bolt. They really help the ride.

Well done! I liked our FP3 videos enough that I bought one from your store. I have had progressive on my old wing front/rear for many years. I think this system is the right choice for my FHLTK. Thanks from west central Idaho

I yanked my junk air shocks off years ago and installed the 2017 CVO shocks off my brothers 2017 CVO street Glide when he put aftermarket suspension on his bike and they seem to work well for me.

The stock air shock do suck. Mine leaked early on. I rode without air. Wife and I riding, hit a bump, cracked my rear wheel bearing. Babied it home. I ordered my 924 from you right then. Had to replace rear wheel bearing. I got the heavy duties. The ride it great. My wife notices the difference too.

I am 73 and I just got my very first Harley-Davidson Dyna super glide custom FXDCI I have had the bike 3 weeks and I have found that I have to lower the bike cause I am not a big guy at 5'7" and 135 lbs. I am having a real problem maneuvering the bike, but I don't know what shocks I should get.

Ryan, I always enjoy your vids and I am subscribed of course. Question for ya. I purchased 944 heavy duty bc I'm 205 lbs my gf is 150 plus my trunk and bags on my 2019 FLHXS. the instructions state measuring center of bolt to bolt with a finale measurement of 11.25". Your vid says to measure with no rider(s) than with rider(s). What should my measurement be when it's all said and done? Help! Lol.... marty

Why did your friend choose Progressive shocks over Legend? I know about 5 years ago Progressive shocks were top notch unless you had the cash for an Ohlins setup. Just curious on why he chose what he did. I’m going to be doing the same here in the next week or two so I’d really interested on his thoughts. Cheers from way up North!

I’m looking at, Ross Wernimont RS-1 and Pro Action. I’m leaning towards Pro Action from my research. Progressive was never in the mix as most say they were once the “it” shock but the makers of the two I mentioned come from Baja racing backgrounds and I can see why they are getting rave reviews. The lifetime warranty from Pro Action is why I’m going in that direction.

We'll be releasing a Legends on this channel too. Already did the install. Just need to edit. Suspension will come down to your needs and personal preference. We have had GREAT luck with Progressive, which is why we carry it in our store. ==> shop.lawabidingbiker.com/collections/progressive-suspension-for-street-bikes
