Great vid!! I'm 51 now. My father was a true old school biker. Always wore greasy jeans, ZZ beard, dirty shirts, dirty jokes
But tools on the road were no joke. He road old British bikes as a kid then moved up (or dow depending on who you talked to lol) to the HD pan & shovel heads.
You were often on the side of the road helping a fellow rider or saving yourself.
Tire tools and tube patch kits were popular. Test light. Basic combo wrenches, electrical tape, mini needle nose vise grips and a small emergency tarp. Working on your bike on the side of the road in the rain blows.
He had all his gear and a few spare cloths tied to his oversized sissy bar / rat trap set up. Looked funny but was always the guy everybody knew he'd have something for ya.
I sure miss him.
Your vid took me down memory lane.
Thank you my friend.
Watching from Kelowna British Columbia Canada
🍺🇨🇦👍
Hello Len and thank you for checking out the video man. Much appreciated and thats a great story...good memories there..ive since beefed up my tire game ...i literally had nothing in there for tires and even had 2 repair kits just sitting in the shop lol
@@sikbaggers. . . . Subscribed 👍🇨🇦
I think a headband light would be handy as well, they are light and small and would provide hands free lighting. Great video, gonna start building my bag!
I’d like to see one of these videos done from the perspective of “Top 10 things you should be able to adjust/fix on the side of the road.” Pile up all the stuff you used, and then make the list.
Plug kit is the only thing your missing and that’s what my bag started with. I was 2hrs away from house when I got a flat rear tire. I was about 20min from a gas station. Thank god the gas station I went to had a tire plug kit. Then I also got a small air pump from a junk car at a salvage yard. The newer Buick regals has them and the newer Malibu. They are really small and it’s worth the peace of mind to have in your saddle bag if you have the room. My tool kit isn’t complete yet but I know more what to look for now that I watched the video. Thanks man. Great video.
Sorry for the late reply Harry...but yes a plug kit and some sort of inflation is for sure something I need to address in my kit. Glad the video helped you get some ideas! Take care and ride safe!
I built my tool bag... I have more than I need, it's heavy. All extra tools I've had...yes, I have absolutely saved the day with my tools on the side of the road
right on man...better to have it just in case..saved my butt in sturgis 3 times last year..you just never know.
BTW..I added something to my bag… bought one of those Harbor Freight LED head lamps. I wrapped around my tool kit and threw in a couple extra batteries. Easier to work in the dark with two hands than trying to hold on to a flashlight while you work.
yes sir...great idea man! I just got a few headlights from amazon the other day..my old ones were getting pretty sloppy..i use them in the shop a lot. i think ill throw one of my older ones in there ! Thanks for the tip!
The look on your face when you said "you can grab so nuts with them" is priceless. Love your channel.
LOL...soon as I said it..I knew that was staying in the video...thanks for checking it out J!
I'm 23 years of age and a new rider ty for your wisdom kind sir God bless
Youre very welcome!
i watched this video a few months ago and made my own tool bag following your set up. a few weeks ago i ended up needing it! glad i diy and brought for the 5hr solo ride.
very nice! Ive used the tar out of mine.
I also keep tire plug kit, extra valve stems and valve stem tool on both of my harley's
I put together a tool bag similar to yours but with more multi use tools to save the weight and size. Included a motorcycle multi tool that has been a great addition. I’ve completely removed a street glide fairing to fix a wiring issue on the side of the highway with it. Also added a small first aide kit that has come in handy as well.
yes we added a first aid kit last year right before sturgis and it was something i had overlooked for years but a great idea to have!
I love your videos. Why? Because you get to the point and you don't try to be cool. You just do what the title of the video says you are going to do. I just bought a 2014 Tri Glide Ultra and your videos have already helped me a lot. I have done all of my own work for years (had a dad that taught me to work on stuff and figure it out). I will be making my own tool kit instead of buying the HD one for $170. Keep on making grat vids and KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN!
Thank you Tim, we try to keep everything pretty straight forward, im the same way,..,hate watching bs just to get to the point lol...and no click bait thumbnails! hate those. Glad the videos are helping man! Be safe!
I realize that this video is a year old, but I keep 3 more things in my kit that you didn't mention, that others may find useful.
A small C clamp for pushing brakes back if you have to do any brake work to free up a wheel. (Done this.)
A kickstand spring, because those don't break at home and they don't take up much space or weight.
A spare shifter peg. I can't count the number of times people with me have lost a shift peg on rides.
Great video
Hey cowboy... thank you for the very useful tips! Those are all great ideas and what's crazy is I have all those things just laying around and never thought about adding it in. Great tips!!
The “tooth” side of diagonal cutters is actually for crimping butt connectors. Not a lot of people know that.
I haven't been riding for too long however, from experience on the car side of things. The little premade kits are typically a good foundation to build upon and give you a solid starting point if you don't already own a lot of tools, and you're just learning how to wrench. My suggestion if you go the premade kit route, actually use your kit when doing maintenance and modding your bike. After a little bit you'll discover/add the tools that you need and have a kit pretty much tailored to your bike.
i agree if your doing it that route then yes...actually use it and youll find real quick what you actually need.
Thank you for this kit video! I will be building one! You’re the best brother!
Absolutely! glad to help!
Goin from Bridgeport CT to Niagara Falls one year, had an injector fail, between two of us we had everything I needed to take it apart, but whatever he supplied I made sure to put in my tool roll. While a couple others went to Syracuse Harley we disassembled the bike and waited. Fun times…..
yeah ma always good to have the tools on you specially if you have the room ..thanks for checking out the video!
Thanks for putting this video out! I appreciate that you are not selling a tool bag but suggesting what you should have.
Thank you Dave! Ive also added a tire kit and rechargeable air pump and also a small first aid kit
Thats a great starting kit
thank you sir!
Opened my tool bag and little dried desert flower petals were there from a ride with a custom bike builder. Az desert ride, near the birder. Bag saved his day. Our ride continued.
very cool....always good to have on you!
an personalised tool bag is the best way to go, you know exactly what you have on you, I don't have a tool bag yet, I clicked this video reading Build a motorcycle tool bag as in for your garage.
A small amount of bailing style wire, med sized lock jaws, and I like a 6 in 1 screw driver
Great subject. I love how honest you are about where you get your tools.
Thank you Ross...repairing on the sid eof the road doesn't take fancy tools for sure...just tools to get it done. Thanks for checking out the video!!
i have also a tire repair kit, portable a tire inflator machine, and yes the tools that you indicated.
. I gotta admit you gave me some good ideas and I learned new things watching this video. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. !
Thank you for the kind words and glad the video helped you. Take care and ride safe..
I would also include a cheap small vise grip plier.
yeah i need to get a small set..small ones that are worth a hoot are hard to find.
I have a mini vice grips in my sporty toolbar.
always a good choice..you can do a lot with those!
The dramatic pause made my day! Great points!
haha thanks for checking it out Perry!
Great video Steve, I watched this some time ago and put together a kit, even bought that tool pouch and a few other things that you had the link to on your site here.
Great kit and I have never had to use anything out of it but then I do my own maintenance and I just don't have any problems with my 2020 RGL, but it is nice to know that if I need a tool on the road I probably have what I need with me.
Hey dave, yes sir...and like I said in the video too , you maybe able to help someone else in a pinch...ive probably used mine more on others bikes than my own and its a great feeling be able to say hey I have that and get that person some help right away.
Only two times I’ve been stranded was key broke in gas tank on my Honda cbr 600 rr and had to fish it out with a qt nail file and my clutch blew on sportster . Best tools in my opinion are the phone tow insurance and a Visa card. I’m some what of an Over prepper but after telling myself im probably not going to re build my top end on the road I’ve been packing much lighter
Great little set up. I put a couple of spark plugs and one long plug wire in mine because wth not. Plugs fowl and wires crack. Maybe a little bottle of octane boost.
Thats a good tip! Octane boost if you are traveling and get ahold of some bad gas that can really help!
I'd put a couple of relays in there. Also an ignition alignment tool, if you have one.
Another great video. Love all the tools, got to get me a set fixed up.
Making my own out of spare tools. Your ideas make sense. I’m going to make one fir my truck like you said. First aid kit is also a good idea
GREAT VIDEO I'M A NEWBIE JUST STARTING OUT 2006 kawasaki 2000 Classic on BIC TRIKE frame
Thats pretty cool! Never seen one built like that. Glad to help and if you have any questions on anything just let me know!
I just came across your channel and you've got a new subscriber.
A lot of good advice here. Thanks for taking the time. Much appreciated.
I Have Always Had A Tool Bag/Roll.
My 1st Harley, A 1999 Electra Glide Came With, And Every Bike After I Made 1, My Current Bike I Bought 1, $99, Added To It, And Now I Got A New Bike, I Like The Shaving Kit Type Bag Idea 😊
Hey thanks for checking it out and dont forget like I did in this video to address tires...inflator and plug kit has been added and also a small first aid kit too.
Great subject that needed to be addressed.
Thanks Steve
You're very welcome and thank you for checking it out!
You should add a few Wago 221 or 222 connectors for quick electrical fixes. I keep 4 connectors and a couple feet of wire in my kit.
Yes sir...sound advice! I use those in the house...ive got those posi taps that pretty well do the same thing but the wagos are a nice touch too!
Those Solder Seal Wire Connectors are a life saver. Another great video 👊🏽🇺🇸
Thanks man.. Ilove those things...Use them all the audio installs. So much faster
I'm Auto Tech. There was a bag In My saddle Bag When I Bought It. I Added a Special Operation Equipment Tool Roll & I'm Building it Up. I Gotta Have Good Pliers. Knipix Cobras, Dikes & Good Pliers. A Long #3 Phillips to get my seat off so far. Some tape & Cable ties. I Have extra Flash light & Knife already. I Probably carry too much.
Hey Ken im not sure how I missed this comment but thank you for sharing your kit with us.!
Always informative. Love your content Steve
Thank you Dusty!
Thanks for the tutorials I've learned a lot...👍
Thanks for checking them out Chris!
Great tips.Thank you
Thank you!
Thanks for the info. Great Idea about the pawn shop. Have to try that.
Absolutely ...I usually pick up spare wrenches there and some spare sockets...all the 10mm's I can find lol usually about 4 or 5 bucks for a handful of tools
Excellent choices for a good all around tool bag. Gave me some handy ideas to round out my adventure tool bag. 👍🏼
Thanks Bradley! Glad it helped out and thanks for weighing in.
I need a tool bag like that. Excellent.
Yes sir..pretty cheap to build really and it definitely comes in handy..used it several times out at sturgis last year, even on my bike
Awesome video. Thanks for the ideas!
glad to help!
You rock! I got so much good usefull info from you. Practical and to the point. Thanks man!
thank you for checking them out!
Great information. I'm going to do that this week for sure.
Thanks for checking it out Richard and glad I could help on some tool ideas. Let me know how it turns out!
I built my own tool roll. I’m certain of a few things. My roll is more complete than anything available for purchase. My tools are better quality than anything available as a kit. I’m certain that I have more money in building it than what is necessary, but I’m okay with that.
When I work on my motorcycle in the winter, I purposely work with the tools from my tool roll.
Great video. Way more affordable than premade kits, and this has practical sizes that you actually need.
yes sir! Thanks for checking it out!
Made my own tool bag. Great video!
Good choice!
Great video. Will be making some additions to mine. Only thing I'd add isn't a tool but a shifter shaft. Seems to be a very common breakdown. We've had them go twice on trips.
yeah i did that video on the shifter a couple of years ago...it happens a lot so its not a bad idea at all...thanks Paul!
Thanks Steve great job some really good ideals for my tool bag and thanks for taking the time I know its a lot of work to put this stuff together Stay Safe out there
Thank you Cathy for the kind words. Im glad the video gave you some tips! Take care and ride safe.
My bike had a HD tool bag when I bought it. I’ve added a few tools to it.
I also carry a medical kit. Only had to use it once in the last 20 years. I was a medic in the Army, and have trained for wilderness and emergency care. (Nam, 69-70.)
I’ve used my tools to help others on the road many times.
For those with key fobs, keep a couple extra batteries in your kit. This to has helped me and others on the road.
One more thing: carry a battery charger. This too has helped me and even a cage or two.
Thanks for checking it out ken and thank you for the upgrade ideas! I do need a med kit in my bag,,,I may just build one of those too as the pre made ones are kinda cheesy and pricey for what your getting. I do keep a jump pack on the bike and have since got a tire repair kit together too with battery tire inflator.
Built my own, apart from tyre repair equipment. The one other thing I carry is a small test light or meter. Diagnosing electrics is a lot faster and easier, and seems to be the tool I’ve used the most to help people out. Because nobody has one.
Hey Bladen that's a dang good addition! Thank you for sharing! I've got about 20 of those things laying around...Ill toss one in my pack! Brilliant!
@@sikbaggers as a long time mechanic I still watch others like your self, its a great source of information tips and knowledge. Thanks for the effort put into your videos, glad I could throw something of Value back to you.
I know this is a very old video but Thank you. I just bought my first Harley, a Road Glide Special. I have tool kits for my Metric bikes but I don't know what I need for the Harley yet. This was quite helpful. Thanks again.
Thank you for checking it out! And glad to help!! Also include tire plug kit and a rechargeable air compressor. I didnt mention it in this video. Something similar to this kit amzn.to/488IUWI and this inflator amzn.to/3OxR6Ja These are the ones I keep on the bike. The inflator is very reliable and doesn't get super hot like the cheap ones do.
Simply amazing. I have been looking at tool it’s for months. I screenshot your list. I am going to begin building this today. Makes a heck of a lot of sense.
Very cool man...im working on getting some tire stuff ion there...I need to scrap a few things to make it fit though.
One tip to store electrical or other tape in a very compact way is to take an old plastic card (like a credit style card) and put several wraps around it. Stores very flat and you can carry several feet of tape that way. I would also consider adding a tire plug/patch kit and small self powered inflator to the tool kit for long distance riding. Even if just to maintain your air pressure, it's handy to have a small self contained compressor and they take up very little space. Great video as always!
Great tip on the electric tape and yes I have upgraded to a smaller pocuh with a tire repair kit and a portable tire inflator ...thank you for checking it out!
A tubeless tire plug kit is a good idea too!
yes...we have since added a tire plug kit and a rechargeable inflator.
Screw in tire plugs, 12v mini air pump, Leatherman, micro fiber towels and rain-x, rokstraps, lighter. I also keep my heel shifter and drill out the bolt hole and put in a shank bolt/nut/ lock washer. In 2018 on my old bike 2001 ultra classic, coming home from Sturgis had the shifter come off at 85mph on I-80 in the twisties dropping into Salt Lake City in a rainstorm. The stock bolt is all threads/ no shank and the threads in the slotted area wore out. Luckily I had the heel shifter in the bottom of the saddlebag from when I removed it. I never used/ liked a heel shifter.
Now on my 2018 geezer glide ultra couch I put in shank bolts in all areas of the linkage along with upgraded after market linkage and an extra shaft. My sons friend broke his shaft ( insert giggle here) up in Azalea Montana at topless Tuesday and 20 min later was riding again.
Thanks for the video it just changed my tool bag for the better
Glad it helped Jeriel!
Great video. Thanks.
You are welcome!
I have tools onboard but anther addition is a nice length of heavy gauge wire like what is used to bind rebar together. If something broke that may get hot the tape, tie straps or bungee cords will not suffice.
Great idea ....and i have some of that laying around actually...ill throw some in
Great video, always important to some kind of tools on board. Like you, I put together my own using extras and cheapos I picked up anywhere. Used it to work on bike to see what I needed and what I didn't. Worked out pretty well.
Yeah building it is so much better in my opinion for sure. Thanks for checking it out!
great video, here in TN. pawn shop tools are a steal "ok maybe that's not a good way to say it" but you get it... keep the videos rolling
lol..yeha i get it..pawn shops for hand tools are pretty decent here as well...glad the video helped!
Thank you for video I am heading out on a long trip this summer and was looking for a list of tools to carry... Love your vids...
Glad to help Steve! Safe travels!
Great video. Thank you
Our pleasure!
Great job!!!
Glad to help!
Well I did the same thing you did I just put one together mostly from harbor freight the only difference is I put an extra toe shifter... And last year we were in Utah and my buddy pulled over on the highway once we caught up to him he told us his shifter fell off... I pulled out the extra one five minutes later we're back on the road.. one other thing I do have. A shorty ball-peen hammer. Otherwise in that I have the same exact bag you have... Thanks for doing this video. Helps me to think that I'm on the right track.
Yes another fella commented on the shifter and I thought to myself my Shift Shaft repair video is one of my most watched videos and yet I dont carry one lol Ill be getting one and making it fit in the bag. Thanks for the great tips!
Great bag! i would add a tire plug kit.
Yes sir I have since updated with a tire plug kit..thank you for checking it out!
Another really great video... the only thing I would add is my trusty Vise-Grip pliers... Heck I've seen them used as a shifter arm to get you somewhere to fix it correctly.
Yes I had a set laid out to add tot he bag and never did...I need to find a smaller set that fits in the bag better ...thank you for the reminder and checking out the video!
Years ago pulled out of the old pine knot saloon in T or C New Mexico late Sunday night about 80 miles from home . on I- 25 south , dang! Flat tire , no , it was the rear.axle about half.way out .me and bro. Mike pick scooter up push axle back in n lock it down with vice grip pliers. Sabotage or careless me I don't know . pretty hairy experience either way...
Vice grip pliers highly recommend for multiple uses.
That might have been my husband you saw doing that. 😂
Well done Steven, ya can't fix it without the tool's, great video brother💯👊🏽😎
Thanks for checking in out! Its saved me and some buddies a few times!
@@sikbaggers yes sir, I'm probably going to get that tool bag, it look's better than the one that I have right now, thanks again brother💯
I have several tool bags that I have made and also ordered, nothing beats building my on, because I put it together and know what’s in it. Thanks bro
Yes sir Brian...I havent found a pre made one that suits me yet...thanks for checking out the video! Take care and ride safe.
Another great video!! I built my own as well. Phillips and flat head, set of open end wrenches, zip ties, electric tape, sockets, channel lock, wire strippers, small bungee cord. I own a softail. Thankfully I haven't had to use yet. However the bungee has been useful a few times actually. Thanks again for these awesome videos!! I'm your new #1 fan!
Thank you Rich!! I really appreciate the kind words sir. It means a lot!
I'm going to add to mine. I made it up myself not store bought. I have used it on a buddies bike
I used it quite a bit out at sturgis even on my bike...its a great thing to have!
This is by far the best video on the subject. No bs just good solid info. Thanks for sharing. 40 years of riding and still getting EXCELLENT info from riders like you. In my tool I have electric, teflon and duct tape. Also, I have stainless steel wire along with some jb steel stick.
From experience, I had a person detail my bike. Detailer did not snap the tool bag correctly and came out flying in the freeway. All of my tools were lost. Also, do not overload the saddle bags and make sure you keep them balance. Lastly, I have a cigarette lighter power compressor and Cartridge for CO2 Inflators just in case. This tool bag is also used with the additional tool for the BMW gs 1200r and Ducati 1198.
Thank you George! I have since stepped up my flat tire game too...had a buddy that had a similar incident with his tool bag...didn't loose everything but quite a bit...thanks for checking out the video man! be safe
Yep! I'm glad I saw this video. I been meaning to put some cheap tools together and putting them in the bag. Harbor Freight is a great place to look for alot of this. And it's a great place for kids or grandchildren to pickup just some of these things as a Christmas gift. The cheaper the better! Most Harbor Freight tools will do the job and get you going.
Yes sir jeff.,..HF has some great tools. I use quite a bit if HF stuff in the shop. We just got a HF in out hometown about 2 years ago..before that I had to drive 45 miles to get to one. Its came in very handy several times and you can shop some low end stuff for thr tool bag and higher end stuff for your own tools in the garage. They have a great mix! be safe and have a merry christmas!
Great video as always Steve and a good subject to touch on I keep a multi tool Leatherman and A multi tool set Harley gives out from the factory I’ve been searching bags and I like your idea to make your own
Yeah Michael I to searched high and low for pre made bags but none of them really suited me or what I wanted and then paying a little extra because it was pre made didnt settle well either. I just realized my links arent working so im fixing those but seriously check out that molly bag on amazon and then start building a kit..youll be way happier
@@sikbaggers most definitely will be doing my own kit and thank you brother for all you do for us
My Bike has the stock tools plus the rear shock adjust spanner. Added 750 amp jump starter, Tire plug kit, a few face cloths for rags, volt meter, Rubber gloves, N95 face masks, DOT 5 brake fluid, hand style air pump. A first aid kit is also handy. Ciao.
Very nice tips Wes! I do have a seperate jump pack in its own case and I forgot to mention that. Lots of other great tips too..thanks for sharing!
That’s a great idea Great video appreciate it be safe brother😎🍻
Thanks for checking it out Brian!
Hey bud....great video.....few items for tbe tool bag
1. battery for key fob, super important on modern scooters....
2..bic lighter for sure.....
3. 99 cent plastic poncho....amazing how many time this comes in handy
Thx
Stu
Excellent video Steve - some great ideas. I carry a tool kit that I put together from odds and ends in my garage that pretty much mirrors the kit shown.
Additionally, I carry a tire repair kit with a small air pump. Thanks for the video and ride safe.
Thank you! yes I really need to work on my tire situation....looking for a portable pump now, maybe battery operated that wont take up half my saddlebag lol but yeah I need to upgrade my kit with that as well.
Another good video. I made up a tool bag for my bike years ago out of an old shaving kit bag. Like most of the other poster I add to it when I have the need. Lost the shifter shaft on my bike a few years why on the road. Made it to a parking lot where my buddy and I were able to fix it using the tools and spare parts he carried on his bike.
Great tip! Yeah another great tip...My Shift Shaft repair video is one of the most watched videos on my channel and yet I dont carry an extra shifter lol..pretty dumb of me...I may go pick one up today and make it fit! Thanks Ricky!
Built my own n always adding to it. Carry it with me always. Never know when you’ll need something.
Thanks for checking it out Thomas! I think building your own is a much better route myself.
I also carry tire gas cylinders and plugs for puntures
yes we have added a tire kit and portable rechargeable air compressor to the kit and a first aid kit.
Great info I'v got one I put together ,did put a little bit of mechanics wire in.But didnot think of fuses thats going in also thanks.
Glad the video helped and thank you for checking it out. I always have something new I want to add but its getting pretty packed now and I really need to add some for tires and pressure..still working on that.
Great video bro. Tire plug kit as well. Not the best thing to ride long distance but will get you where you need to be to get fixed!! Don’t forget the CO2 cartridges!!!
Great tip Don! Im looking into getting some of those today..I do need to address the tire issue in my kit. Ive thought about it several times.
Great video, definitely something folks need to keep in mind. We’ve actually put together a pretty extensive tool kit. I have it broken down into 2 smaller bags and a tool roll. This way we can split the kit up among 3 different bikes. This allows us to carry many different sized wrenches, sockets and such. This way, if we come across someone on another brand or foreign models we can offer assistance. We even carry a small jump box, actually assisted someone in Daytona earlier this year that left their lights on.
Great video man!
Nice Shane..Yeah if you have the room then definitely can carry more tools. I do carry a jump box and should have mentioned that but it was separate so I forgot. But its been used a few times on buddies bikes too. Definitely a great add on!
Awesome video steve...time to go to the pawn shops ....
glad to help Joel!
Great information. I do have a small kit as I am adding stuff. Allen wrenches and crescent wrench and lock tite and a few other wrenches I keep a shifter just in case mine quits working!
Great tip! The extra shifter is a must have and now im going to get one for my bag. My shifter shaft repair video is one of my most watched videos and yet I dont have a spare lol thanks for the tip David!
Great call on the Tactical Admin Pouch Bag! With the molle straps and d-rings, and outer straps, you can pack or attach this bag almost anywhere on the bike. Or on tail bags etc. depending on how you ride and pack.
Thanks dave..I knew when I was goign to build my pack it would be molle...love that stuff...was just a matter of getting the right size and good material
Set my own up, similar to yours. Glad I had it, more than once. Haven't had to grab my nuts with the back end of my pliers yet, but you never know. Nice touch, brother.
HA! Yeah you never know...might be someone elses nuts...strange things happen lol Thanks for checking out the video...take care and ride safe.
Great Video! I use a tool bag equipped similarly on my Road King. I also carry a tire plug kit and a small lithium battery powered inflator. Have used both Twice in helping stuck Bros on the roadside. Lastly, although not for the faint of heart
I carry a 30' length of strong thin nylon rope. Have actually towed (very slowly and on a level road) a buddy's softail with a fried transmission back to a safe place.
yes I need to address my tire plug kit for sure..and can you tell me which inflator you have..I read some reviews on some on amazon and they were pretty bad reviews on all of them...id like to get a good one.
Great video
Thank you! Ride safe and take care!
I like to carry a small circuit breaker from an old or faulty power strip that has had. I use it in place of a fuse to sort out the problem if something starts shorting. I have the tiniest little test light too. Smaller than a pen even to help track down any issues. I rain ride often. I don’t drive a car so it ya daily moto rain or shine wet riding will find your electrical flaws every time.
Thats a great idea! Thank you for sharing it with us!
Awesome video Steve , as always ty much . Gotta get my but in gear and put together a tool bag for my SGS...
Thanks for checking it out Sean! Always good to have a few spare tools on board.
@@sikbaggers absolutely 💯 👌
Thanks for the video. It was perfect because it told me what common wrenches, sockets, torx etc. that I need for my Harley. Plus it gave me an opportunity to purge my tool box of the cheap hand tools that unfortunately you buy when you’re young and can’t afford the good tools. I did as you said added some things like: Super Glue, some mechanics wire, cut down length of the bigger and stronger wire ties, a multi tool that has a knife, and small right angle screw drive and bits (Harbor Freight). I also purchased a 56 Lumens Triangle emergency light that doubles for a flashlight, lights solid red color and flashing emergency red. This I’ll attached to the front of my Molle bag.
Thanks again and take care.
Hey Keith! Thats awesome man...I have some of those triangles too...pretty sure I got them from harbor freight...picked up 5 or 6 of them and tossed some in each vehicle. And i feel you about purging..im not one to throw away tools..and last month I went through my tools and built my son a toolbox, and tossed about 40 screwdrivers....holy cow man I didnt know I had so many stuffed in that drawer. I thought this is ridiculous when I pick out 2 or 3 different ones every time I grab a screwdriver...I couldnt even tell you where 80% of those even came from lol
Nice info
Thank you!
