  • The Dragon Trail is Michigan's up and coming destination trail in Newaygo County. We love this trail and all the opportunity surrounding it. We started this ride from our new Dragon Adventures Base Camp parking lot and had an amazing turnout!

Rode it this summer. It was ok. Not outstanding. Easy to see why it’s so popular given its location to Grand Rapids area.

Been looking for trails like this, do I need rear shocks for these trails? Looking forward to checking them out, thanks

Dang crossing the river without the bridge does not look fun, besides that every thing looks exciting.

It isn't 100% complete yet. The north west side is getting worked on and should be complete in 2023!!

is a 100mm xc full suspension bike ideal for this, or something with more travel? Thanks!

  • @BrianDielemanOfficial

Is it safe enough to ride with a shotgun seat mounted? Wanna take me kid on it before he out grows it this year

I would say so Yes! Be a little careful on the blind corners but you should be totally fine

I can't imagine going the other way when a large group is coming at ya, how could that be the best flow trail, with fright lines, not sight lines, sounds like no flow, "I've ridden it, but best flow trail in Michigan ??", I liked it but overcrowding, with bikes, hikers with dogs, and its not even finished, more to come even, that makes it a no flow trail. DTE Trail has all the parking lots full on weekends, and you don't see other riders except at the trailheads, hikers don't like it, for many reasons, there are penty of hiking trails in that area, a paved 70 mile trail is near completion just outside the trail, There is now a 7 mile Connector to Pototawami Trail giving it over 60 miles of trail, without getting off the bike, 50 State Shred did a video of the trail, and calls it the best flow trail of the 50 State Shred, the Best is a tall statement for any trail.. (for those that don't know about DTE Trail, 50 State Shred DTE below) Happy Trails !!!!

Lots of good points! We all get to have opinions! I ride the Dragon a lot and see very little traffic besides right by campgrounds.
