I live behind one of this particular development, and is what they fail to show in this segment is the crime and loss of quality of life the surrounding residents endure. Drunk driving, loud music all night, gunfire, murders, men openly gawking at our 10 year old daughters out playing. Trash and dead animals just dumped in the roads of what used to be a nice, rural area. Stray animals everywhere and vehicle break ins.
Kids living in conditions that would be considered abuse if you or I did it, but the county looks the other way because the majority of these occupants are confirmed illegals.

Some people just can't be civilized and think it's a bad thing to be. How do we expect the human race to grow and be successful if half of them are running around like cavemen? It's self destruction, and kills culture.

I recently financed land from here, everything was good the first month and after that I kept getting violations for not having a driveway. I have my rv in the yard and I parked on the side of the road. So I got tired of the violations and I moved out of there. They have inspectors that drive around and look for any little thing to flag you. I now believe they are a scam.

I just called 911 after midnight today. There was at least 3 different semi automatic gunfire going off multiple times from 3 different locations in that area. This was different than other times I heard gunfire. It started up again when I was on the call with the operator. After I got off the phone extremely loud music came on. This has to end!

Wow! Why didn't you interview any of US, the residents of the City of Plum Grove around which this developer has put in some of the worst colonias in the entire state? Ask us what this mess has done to OUR community! My home has been flooded 4 times in 2 years now by the Camino Real Colonia storm water drainage system which the developer cut across National Wetlands out there to drain all his lots real good! Why aren't you talking to people like me? They destroyed the roads in our city, have caused tremendous flooding problems, their sewage flows thru my backyard and let's not even talk about the murders or gunfire that goes on at all hours of the day and night now from those damn colonias!

It's offensive to those who went through the immigration process, when so many others are allowed to live in this country ILLEGALLY, costing US TAXPAYERS. Maybe Democrats and Republicans will unite over this one.

I live in a colony ridge neighborhood and all the people that sold us the property spoke SPANISH that is not true what that man is saying!!!!!! You sign a contract but to say it’s all in English is BULLSHIT!!! All the paperwork is in English and SPANISH!!! I do agree there should be laws in place but if you choose to buy there you choose to live there. I live in here too! And if they are living in shacks it’s because they choose to. I agree the roads should be maintained but living conditions is not there fault to an extent! If you can’t afford to live there don’t live there. If you choose to live in a tent while building or forever that is not colony ridges fault!

Are most people living there employed, or do they get income from the state or from national government sources?
What percentage of the people living there speak only Spanish?
Does everyone have water service, electricity service, gas service, sewer service, clean drinking water & wi-fi service into their homes?
Has all their homes been inspected by county or state building inspectors to see if their homes all meet government building codes?
You say some live in tents, how many now live in tents?
What prices do owners pay for their land & how big are the lots? What are people paying for taxes on their property?
Do people buy these lots to own or to lease? What home owner fees do you pay on monthly? Are their other fees included?
Do you have to get the utilities hooked up? Or do you move in with no utilities hooked up?
When you buy this land do they give you a list of rules you must follow? You say they come by all the time issuing you complaints and telling you, that you must fix this or that. Do they give you a time period for when you must have the problem fixed? If it's not fixed in a certain time frame, do you get charged a penalty fee?

The county need to raise the fees on fines and on permits, also, building codes need to be enforced. The water commission of the county has to enforce sewage gray water codes with harsh fines when found in illegal use. We have laws , let’s use them and then this mess will eventually be straighten. Only then can the good people of colony ridge and plum grove will ever see a better community.🧐😌

It’s no one’s fault that the rich want 1500$ of rent per month. Everyone wants to get out of rent some way and some how. It’s non of your business how ppl want to live. At least they’re not in housing like most African Americans. Judge all you want. People need to close in title company. Always go through legal. Word of advise. Other than that most land in Houston are restricted and it’s ridiculous that Harris county is very strict with permit and elevation levels. Honestly, ppl just need to settle somewhere else Houston is a rich man’s city let all the low income move out and stop feeding the rich.

This what happens when someone come to a country without learning to read and write English. Just because spoke can speak English does not mean they read and write English. WHEN you comes to English speak country not knowing the language that person is now ripe for someone to take advantage of them as the developer found ripe victims selling them property at 12% interest when interest rate less than 7%. They cant blame the developers as they gave them legal right to do whatever as they have provided legal documents. You cant complain when you get bitten when give someone legal permission to bite you. When make yourself a fool then you are a fool.😂😂😂😂
