- In Colony Ridge, a community of about 40,000 people located about 40 miles northeast of Houston has found itself in a controversy after some lawmakers claim Mexican cartels control a portion of the community. FOX 26's Randy Wallace reports from Liberty County.

Nearby... that happened just a few minutes out west of Cleveland TX in the Trail's End subdivision... I could find no direct link between Trails End and Colony Ridge or the Harris family. However Colony Ridge has been attracting that sort of folk to this area for over a decade now! City of Plum Grove and it's ETJ never had any murders BEFORE Colony Ridge moved out here and started selling their lots to illegals! Just saying.

Why would the requirements of a legal us resident to provide a social security number not be a requirement. I say something is fishy here!
You CAN indeed buy properties in Mexico; I bought land and a beach house in Mexico. The only exception is within 25 miles of the border or the coast. In those instances, you put the property under a trust; and it's valid for 100 years. Do some research before spewing nonsense!
