I can't express how grateful I am for this video, I received this headset for Christmas and was only able to enjoy it for 5 days before its first crash, so your video was my only hope, watched it so many times waiting for the replacement sensor to ship while building the confidence to do it myself, ended doing it today and my Quest 2 got back to life. I refused to believe that one sensor made the headset go crazy so I was very skeptical that only this quick fix could solve all the issues occuring (boundaries, controllers, 6DoF ...) and it did. Everything magically got sorted and went back to the usual. Thank you very much!

I need serious help please... My "upper right" camera got busted by somebody. Is the upper right considering viewing from the front and seeing the physical cameras or does it count as when you're looking through the goggles? I need serious help 😭 I'm pretty sure when the guy's were "watching" the kiddos their 9 year old was playing with it and I think she dropped it on the ground....

I think I just had this exact issue today: one slip, very short fall, it landed right face bottom into ceramic. I didn't seem to perceive any broken camera, but something definitely broke there. If you wait enough for 2 restarts or something, eventually it just starts and shows your environment, but in ZERO DOF, the image is just dragged along wherever you look, no gyros etc. I double tapped for passthrough and nothing either. anyway... lots of trouble for such a short fall. I'll see what I can do... honestly, I'm awful with technical labor like this

It will turn on but on Gorilla Tag, the arm is stuck in place and then disappears. Could it be the broken camera?
It's possible,. I actually don't know enough about these, and this unit didn't belong to me, so I only had limited experience with it. Although I'm pretty sure they are used somehow for tracking the position of the controllers.
I'm confused because my headset has never been harmed by me and the controller has weak blinking and the headset can't detect the controller and the camera is not working even though all cameras are in good shape
Can you buy parts and repair it your self with out sending it in and not worrying having to not get it back? I need to replace the lenses and the controllers.

In your opinion was there definitely a correlation between the breaking.kf the camera and the Oculus not going past the blinking logo? This happened to us tonight... I dropped it and now it's starting but just blinking the logo... The camera is infact broken.
@@ThatElectronicsFoolmy issue with my oculus is that as soon as i power it up everything sort of kinda disappears and it’s like the boundary screen was replaced by the main screen as the first screen then everything but my custom home map disappears and then it does the weird thing where everything on screen moves exactly pinpoint where you look at the same speed which isn’t normal it goes to the boundary making screen then everything goes back with the weird thing happening with the boundary making screen part then it goes onto tracking disabled then it does the weird thing again is that a circuitry problem or a camera problem because im pretty sure the tracking camera and whatever camera handles the screen or every camera might be broken is there a way i can fix it I don’t wanna have to go through the pain of getting back all of my dlls lemon loader cx file explorer and all of the other 32 apk apps that i have

I accidentally spilled water on my oculus quest 2 and the right lens stop working. I suspected that the right camera is broken. Do you think this might be the reason why the right lens is not turning on? If so, would changing the right camera fix the problem?
It sounds like the panel inside is damaged somehow, and not the camera. The cameras are not used to display an image, just for the unit to know where it is in space.
So i replaced my broken camera, which was the same one you replaced, after putting everything bck together, on my bottom right corner the screen is dark, just like a dark spot, any help on what it could be?

You got this… in the video, he talks about a bunch of screw… not the case. Pop the styrofoam frame, 4 screws on top (T3 Torx screw worked best on mine) 2 on bottom, pop black frame, 5 screws connecting white frame, pop front frame, camera is simple
@@richarddennull1335 yes the replacement camera fixed my problems ! im so happy ! sadly i ripped the face sensor strip xD so now i have to always disable proximity sensor to be able to play but all and all this fixed my problems ! its alive !
Yes you should have someone who looks at Electronics to take your Oculus apart and replace the camera but if you trust yourself enough to do it then do it yourself

a quick heads up: when your reinserting the proximity sensor make sure its all the way in or your quest wont turn on. 👍🏾

the main common problems is around to proximity sensor cable that needs to be perfectly set back up, uneasy ! ( or black screen after 5 seconds )

Tip 1. Get a magnetic screwdriver :D
Tip 2. Avoid using the needle tweezers on everything.
