the books are mainly called the "sookie stackhouse novels" or "southern vampire mysteries" but the first book is called Dead until Dark. From what I remember reading the books, the TV series is a lot different entertainment-wise but similar with characters. Season one is very similar to the first book but the TV series branches off into it's own story in a way. But either-way I think you'll enjoy the books, glad to have someone read the series, oh and don't be alarmed by the kid-like cover art;)

Calm down people. Just because you see Bill and Sookie getting down doesn't mean that it's happening in True Blood reality. These trailers are meant to get people all worked up and be all surprised when you see how the scene was really meant to be seen. :) On another note, Bill's behavior around The Authority is truly nauseating. Blech. Eric is ALWAYS Eric. And how cute was the look.Eric and Sookie have each other after he made the comment about doing it like livestock. I love their interaction

The quick part where it's raining on the bridge and you see Claudine scream something, it's totally the death scene of Sookie and Jason's parents. There's a vampire with a mask on and his mouth is bloody.

Everyone: QUIT FREAKING OUT ABOUT THIS LOVE TRIANGLE! Sookie will most likely stay single throughout the rest of the season. Just sit down and enjoy the ride! This trailer makes this half season look promising. I'm so excited! I'm sure Sookie will stay a faerie because there's going to be a fae war next season Ball said. So just relax and get pumped!!!
