What size pump will I need?

A correcltly sized pump is extremly important for any level of pond enthusiat. Choose one too small and It will now work as intended. Choose one to large and you wasting a significant amount of money each month. This adds up to a great cost over the course of time that you have your pond. Why the minimum turnover rate of biofiltered water recommended for koi ponds is 3x an hour while that in fish tanks 5x-10x an hour? What's the order or two magnitude difference between a fish tank and a fish pond?
