- Deep down, inside our bodies, lives the soul. No one has ever seen it, but we all know it's there. There is a 'soul bird' who lives inside us all.
Tróndur Patursson is a Faroese artist, who has become famous for his trademark stained glass birds. For him, his job as an artist is to capture the soul of those beings represented in his work.
And he believes that just like the bird is free, so we must allow our soul to be free.

Who is Green Renaissance? We are a tiny collective of 2 passionate filmmakers (Michael and Justine). We live off-grid and dedicate our time to making films that we hope will inspire and share ideas.

A True Artist.. looking at the inside instead of just the surface that meets the human's eyes. Somehow I got a glimpse of what God's thought when I heard the man speaking. God is an Artist & Creator Himself and it's the inside of us (our thoughts, our hearts and our motives) that really matters to Him.

And so far, we haven't missed a single week. It's a lot of work, especially when we're doing most of it in our spare time, but we love it. Such a beautiful way to show Tróndurs’ art and way of life.
A friend of mine was sitting with my 2 or 3 year old nephew in a waiting room, when Tróndur came in. The little boys’ face lit up and he shouted “hygg! Jólamaðurin!” (Look, Santa Claus). Everyone smiled, and Tróndur too 😁

He passed about a year and a half ago at 31 year's. What you write about is what I'd tell him that this chapter of life is about and he's in our heart and soul and free. Someone dear to me once said a couple of things I hold as Truth's. First is that we're spiritual beings having a human experience and the quicker we shed our humanness " pride, selfishness etc" the better off we'll be. And he asked me " do you have hope? I was so excited when I saw your reply. Your work means a lot, I turn to it when I feel lonely and low on hope and it restores my faith in life and humanity.
You give a voice to the forgotten, ignored, misunderstood, disregarded and unknown. You allow people to share their stories without any judgment or restrictions. I know your works isn't appreciated nearly as much as it should. I think my attempt at putting how I feel into words doesn't do it justice. Some things, the best things are better of felt not said.
