I also wanted to be a nun, back when I was in my early teens. I grew out of it, completed college, joined the corporate world and got busy making money. I now know why I wanted to be a nun - even as a child my soul craved a quiet life. In my 40s now I find myself ‘wanting to be a nun’ again

To be thankfull to our Heavenly Father for the gift of His wonderful creation and praise Him for that. Moreover, share time with our dear ones and show them how much we love and cherish them (PET’s and outdoor creatures included). Also, be kind with every one. Last but not least, enjoying the craft of our hands, adopting the pace if nature.

@@karlataylor1172 I am an American, who did not understand my country until I heard it spoken of as an adolescent country, compared with the very ancient and wise lands Like Japan and Africa. We are young and still enthralled with bright, shiny objects… With materialism. I am blessed with a circle of wise women and we celebrate The disruption of the comfort zone of materialism which this pandemic has brought. It has turned people inward to begin to listen to their hearts rather than their minds, and has helped them seek the beauty and richness of life in the simple things and in nature.
I also see my country as a symbolic melting pot, where we can be an example of all different kinds of people living in harmony and freedom. We have a long way to go! It is a messy process, learning to love those who are different than yourself… We will make it. Most of us here have good and kind hearts and yearn for us to be a peaceful country.

Catherine is such a vibrant, beautiful woman. I needed to hear everything she said. What a gift that you are bringing this wisdom from across the world right to my feet! Thank you!!! I may need to tell you a gazillion more times how much joy it gives me that you are finding people in seasons of their lives when they are so ripe with inner riches from years of hard-won learning. And that you have become the kind of people with eyes to "see" their beauty and value. What you are doing is truly unique and a significant contribution to our world. I relish the opportunity each week to "sit at the feet" of the people you are finding and filming. The skills to pull this off don't go unnoticed. People may be "ripe" with wisdom but you have to be pretty special yourselves to enable them to trust you and open up. Bravo, bravo, bravo!!!

Sr. Deirdre Byrne is a surgeon that performs surgery on the uninsured poor at our southern border. Another is a teacher working in poverty areas. Another is a nurse. Nuns are very hard working, dedicated humanitarians that give very much to people that have nothing and the nuns ask for nothing in return. What they do receive in return is true joy.

I agree with everything you said. I am still trying to cope from the loss of my husband and the letting go of 3 sons to seek their own lives. I find knitting, processing and spinning fiber, and gardening is my healing place. It allows for those quiet moments to listen to myself and God's guidance for my life. Yes, it is an ongoing journey that moves me each step of the way. Thank you for your video.

Hi, renaissance team, thank you for sharing this inspiring story. How wonderful to suddenly find out what your real passion and talent is. I remember finding out, that I can knit and crochet in a special way, making my own style for me or others. It seems so little, but the relief to find out that you’ve something you really love to do is so wonderful. I checked their homepage and saw how many astonishing pieces of craft you can do from willow. Very aesthetic! To find a personal healing place sounds great. I’ll try that. Stay happy, healthy and curious, Monika❣️

These films are wonderful, they bring you to such an inspirational place, that is promptly ruined by the pitch for money at the end of each one. I understand that these beautiful films are probably quite expensive to make but perhaps there’s another way to pitch that that isn’t just moments after a lovely life story bringing you to such a calm place. Just my opinion, perhaps it bothers no one else. Thank you for the creative and lovely films and the inspirational subjects of them. So beautiful.

This is a thoughtful, sensitively made video and in just a few minutes, Catherine speaks some of the universal truths. Being kind to yourself; understanding that you must make your own path in life because no-one will do it for you; taking time to adjust and heal after bad events..............there is much in here to hear and to follow. Thank you for sharing it and for showing that some traditional crafts are still alive.

  • @christinaheesakacowden-wut3809

My great great grandfather was a basket weaver.
The things you love to do, crafts, gardening, drawing and so on, keep you bound to the present moment!
I found, that this present moment experience is a real place for healing.
Your thoughts can rest and your true inner being can emerge.
Silence, but not stillness; knowing without thinking; peacefullness without trying; feeling loved without conditions ❤
What are you weaving into your life`s basket?
