Whenever I stay at a hotel, I try and make it look like no one was ever there. I at least try and leave the room tidy when I go out and about.
spacecadet35 during college i worked as a housekeeper and i was always thankful for guests like you.
And i know it would sound disgusting, but I (and most of my colleagues) would thoroughly clean only the rooms of the tidy guests, the others we just made to look clean.
Kind of âWhy bother if they donât botherâ mentality.
*Forgot to mention- I mean during their stay, not after theyâre gone.

Some hotels the customer can indicate that they donât want the room cleaned until after they leave. It works out great because you can leave your clothes on the floor or whatever, then tidy up the one time before you check out instead of everyday.

I have this strange habit of trying to rearrange the room as close as possible to its original state before I check out, I would make the bed, fluff the pillows and sheets, fold the towels and hang them back, as if no one had stayed there before....
I have never treated a hotel room like a swamp!! I am always tidy because I think it's embarrassing and disrespectful if you're filthy

I've cleaned rooms in a 5 star $700 a night hotel and in a run down $99 a night motel. I can definately say that the more money people have, the more disgusting they are. People who are used to having staff clean up after them live like pigs. I found towels with shit on them a couple times a week. Either they're wiping their ass with towels or just don't bathe properly.
The cheap motel rooms were usually tidy when the guest left.
Especially when they have my name, address, credit card, vehicle license plate number and security picture footage on file. Imagine a book published called "This Twat's a Pig!" with your name and picture in it. Bet it would sell very well.
@@SummonXD The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning at home is make the bed and the same when I'm on holiday too because I'm used to it all the time and it's just a normal thing for me everyday

WORD OF WARNING: The reason there was poop in the kettle is because, (Some one talked about it on a show I watched recently) is that when on holiday some people wash their underwear by putting them in the kettle and boiling them. ya'll nasty. Since learning this, I never use hotel kettles for drinks and I advise everyone else to do the same.

Some of those hotel reviews are horrifying. Who does that?!?! I make my bed when I stay at hotels. I just find it so uncomfortable to leave a room unkempt even though I know that making up the room is complimentary.

I try, i really do, to watch just one or two clips of Graham Norton on CZcams, and before I realize it hours have passed as I'm sucked into the world of probably the best talk show host that's ever existed,, To quote Matt Damon - "This is the most fun I've ever had on a talk show".

I had a fright at a certain hotel, it was absolutely surreal. I didnt find out until the next day there was a Rocky Horror Picture Show convention across the street. Noone tells me these things.
I always leave a hotel nice and tidy. I would never leave it messy. People who clean are so bad paid and under time pressure

Graham Norton makes you want to be famous so you might get an invite on to his show... Iâm not unsuccessful in my own life, but that is the highest compliment I can give him. I should probably try harder. He deserves more effort.
I usually leave the hotel room cleaner and neater than it was when I entered it. I almost make the bed up and of course wipe down the vanity in the bathroom.
I do the same too!!!!!! But of course I have OCD. (No kidding.)

I literally just about peed myself laughing at this.
For having worked in a hotel, I can tell you never use the glasses, plates...etc in your room without washing them several times because cleaners will wipe them dry with either used towels from the bathroom or with the same dirty cloth they used to wipe the bathroom clean

When I was a cleaner at a hotel, one of my coworkers told me that I should use a fork from the kitchen to clean someone's pubes out of the shower plug hole. I told her no sodding way.

mostly "out of toilet bowls" - the hotel I worked, the most astonishing event was someone pooped in the sink. Older gentleman, possibly jet lagged, we thought...
The poo in the kettle review was for the BlueBird Hotel in Newcastle. Dozens of hilarious reviews, if they're still online (Hotel closed, surprisingly enough)!

I worked in a hotel for two years and once on the night shift I had to come up and break apart poo with a toilet brush (that was right next the toilet) because their 5 year old had been constipated for a week and dropped a poo the size of a cat. It was a family of 5 and they watched as I did it then did not tip me.

I once stayed at a hotel and found a bloody tooth in the bed, the bedsheets in my friends bed was also covered in bloodstains and the shower curtain was moldy from top to bottom

I think they are promoting it in this episode (or the second film perhaps)... but I highly recommend it. It's quite funny and interesting.
