Hi Alan always look forward to your amazing videos Love watching them❤🎥🎬📺🍿😀 keep up your amazing videos ❤️🎥my very good friend take care🙏😀❤️👋
Thank you very much David, your too kind mate, take care👍😃👍
Another good video Alan.
I love both of the Cannonball movies, and the blooper reels ate fantastic. Big fan of On The Buses too, the movies and the TV series😊
Take care mate 👍
Cheers mate, yeah I remember the outtakes were shown during the end credits 🤣 Dom DeLuise was so funny. Ahh nice to see someone else who enjoyed On The Buses. Take care mate👍😃👍
Saw you in HMV Alan I was buying High Tension you standing at the side speaking to a guy behind the counter…Cannot remember the day…lol
Hi Barry, feel free to say hi, next time you see me, it may have been Thursday, as I was in there in the afternoon, take care mate👍😃👍
Out and at it at 8:30am and by choice! I’d be asleep in my bed! 😂
Lots more f cool pickups this week Alan. I’ve never really watched a lot of On the buses. It always reminded me of Carry On, which I really don’t like.
Cannonball Run. Now there’s a blast from the past!
Hi Lisa, I usually get up around 6am every morning for some strange reason 🤣 I like to be in HMV for when it opens so I can get the videoing finished early so I can edit quickly at home… yeah if you didn’t enjoy the Carry On Films, I doubt On The Buses will either… the humour is definitely from the 70’s 🤣 gotta love The Cannonball Run films. Take care Lisa 👍😃👍
Great video as always my lovely green friend x
Bless you my little bald buddy from Bournemouth 😁 take care mate👍😃👍
Respect ✊
Thank you very much, I appreciate it, take care mate👍😃👍
Can't say I've heard of the British films listed, and probably these will never get us releases, but mosquito squadron I do have and watched years ago. Good film!
Hi Erik, yeah, it’s not the sort of humour that would translate across the pond 🧐 it’s a great release of Mosquito Squadron, I agree a solid war film, cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Yeah I actually did hear recently about how Reg Varney was the first person to use an ATM. That's very interesting.
I like that they have painted the ATM gold and it’s still there 😁 take care Jared 👍😃👍
Thank u Alan. Must admit I like the look of the On The Buses film set as I’m a big fan (takes me back to my childhood).
Your welcome Paul, remember the On The Buses box set is a limited release, yeah the same with me, I grew up watching these gems, take care mate👍😃👍
I like how imprint films puts a series of movies in a box set instead of releasing them one by one .
On some of there box sets, they do release them as singles further down the line like they are doing with the Stephen King box set, I doubt these three films will though 🧐 cheers Mike, take care 👍😃👍
Hi Alan a lot out this week ❤ I love Thelma and Louise but £22 a bit steep considering I've already got a bluray. Great mail from Mark. He's a good guy 👍
Hi Roy, I was thinking the same thing, it’s not a film I watch often so can’t justify an upgrade, yeah Mark is a top guy for sending out Monster Squad, I loved it, cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Great Video Alan
Another great K day ....the cover art for Mosquito Squadron reminds me of old war comic covers .....Anna karen was also in eastenders ....even tho she passed away last year her funeral in eastenders was a cup of weeks ago ....there was a great one liner... the character organising funeral was asked if she ad booked tge cabs ....she replied of course otherwise how wud we get there then added "on the busses" I thought that was a nice touch...av a great week Alan 👍 take care mate
Hi Les, I used to collect the Commando war comic as a boy and had over 300 of them 🤣 I guess collecting is in my blood. It did remind me of them too, aww bless Anna Karen, that was a nice touch of the Eastenders writers, cheers mate have a great week too👍😃👍
alan great vid mate i allways find it strange that movies like on the buses bluray you have im port on the buses is as british as fish and chips many years ago i had to buy the avengers mrs peel years from us tc steve
Yeah exactly, they also have the Steptoe and Son films as well as Are You Being Served not to mention the Carry On films, it makes no sense to me either but at least someone is putting these UK TV movies, shame on our distributors, taking of the Avengers, they have put those out too 🤣 cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
😉👍
Cheers AJ, take care mate👍😃👍
Hi Alan, loving your weather. Very nice pickups and subscriber mail. I really enjoyed Monster Squad. The Night of the Comet cover is so much nicer then the one over here. Your drink looked very tasty. Take care 🤗
Hi Ariel, ooh the fog makes me feel really sad and down 😕 I’ve never liked foggy weather. I love a bright sun shiny day 😁 Night Of The Comet did has a lovely cover, it’s different to mine as I bought the Arrow release a few years ago…. I loved Monster Squad, I will, watch it often, take care Ariel 👍😃👍
@@kermitsghost I have heard that weather can have that affect on people. When it’s hot I like to sleep.
@@splashwitharielthe sun makes me feel very energetic and happy 😁 luckily the fog has moved on, enjoy the rest of your week Ariel.
Hi Sir Alan,
There is no contest for a coffee at McDonals or Costa, been looking forward to the release of "Thelma & Louise" a great movie & one i"ve not seen for years & never owned in my collection, The Cannonball Run movies were a lot of fun with many stars popping up. Good to see a UK release of Chuck Norris best movie in my opinion in "Lone Wolf McQuade" a shame its a basic release.
Nice that Mark sent you "The Monster Squad" a gentleman he is, Wow Imprint Films does it again releasing classic British comedy & this time "On the Buses" grew up watching the series & the movies, great fun.
Fine update Alan, speak soon 👍
Hi Carlos, yeah I found that McDonald’s coffee was often coming out Luke warm so Costa has won my heart 🤣 I have Thelma And Louise in the collection but don’t feel the need to upgrade 🧐 did you pick up Lone Wold McQuade? or do you already own it (I;m sure you probably do) Mark was a gent for sending me his spare copy, I thoroughly enjoyed it (and it was a first time watch too) as soon as I saw Imprint released On The Buses I had to order it in, very nostalgic for me. Cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Hi Alan,
I do own “Lone Wolf McQuade” starring Chuck Norris & I’d recommend it as you’ve been on a spaghetti western kick, it’s basically a modern day spaghetti western action movie flick with plenty of 89’s tough guy goodness, I did catch up with all your from the New Year onwards, never a bother watching your videos as I love watching your content always, great stuff 😎👍always
Hi Alan, Thanks for the shoutout buddy Fun fact the actor who played the Werewolf also played the Werewolf in Fright Night 2.
Love On the buses, watched one of the Christmas specials over Xmas and couldn't stop laughing, Holiday is my favourite movie.
Just seen a review for The Mosquito squadron and it looks like a great Blu-ray, that's on my list. Thanks again mate.
Hi Mark, it’s the least I could do mate, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will watch it often 👌 gotta love the On The Busses films and shows, ooh I missed that over Christmas 😡 it’s not often they put them on anymore. Yes, Mosquito Squadron is a solid war film, worth adding to the collection, cheers again Mark, take care mate👍😃👍
Glad you got to check out The Monster Squad. One of my absolute favourites. I actually prefer it ever so slightly to The Goonies. Great vid as always mate 👌
Hi Steve, I was very late watching The Goonies too (not till my late forties) for me I would rate them equally, can’t believe it passed me by for so long lol, cheers mate, I appreciate it, take care👍😃👍
Damnnn first time watch on Monster Squad... That's not one I would have guessed you hadn't seen before now. I would have guess that would be right down your alley.
I think it was the date it was released, as I left home and moved city on my own so money was tight I never went to the cinema that year and never owned a TV or VCR either, so it completely passed me by and it never had a UK blu-ray release so it slipped through the crack with me, I did thoroughly enjoy it though and will revisit it often… when’s your next video out Dennis, it’s been a while mate? Take care👍😃👍
@@kermitsghost That's the problem being locked to "1" region haha ;) well if you're asking that question I'm pretty sure you missed a video of mine....
@@TheBluCornerI have, I will go find it 🧐
Excellent video Alan; I got all the 3 Radiance Films titles; looking forward to diving into those 😀👍 Love ‘On The Buses’ mate; yet to check out the 3 films 🚌
Hi Sam, I think all three On The Buses films are available on dvd for a tenner (try before you buy) but the blu-ray’s are limited so may run out. Hope you enjoy your Radiance movies mate, take care👍😃👍
You can't beat a bit Of On The Buses.I only have the movies on standard DVD so I really need to upgrade.I love the actual series as well.Enjoyed video, glad I found your great channel
Hi Brian, cheers mate, loved On The Buses growing up, as soon as I saw them for sale, I had to jump on it (its a limited set and didn’t want to miss out) I’ve seen a few others pick the set up too. I’m glad you found my channel too mate, hope you stick around, take care👍😃👍
4:16 Very strange, 4K in a blu-ray case 🤔
It is strange, if it wasn’t for the small sticker and the price, you would think it was a Blu-ray release 🧐 cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Great video, Alan. Kudos to you for watching all the On the Buses movies in quick succession, I think I could only manage that humour in small doses….That’s the first I’ve heard of Typist Artist Pirate King, one to look out for. Great artwork on The Mosquito Squadron
Hi Neil, I watched them over three days, the style of humour is not for everyone, I’ve not the show for years either so I’m wondering if that’s going to get a release 🧐 check out the trailer for Typist Artist Pirate King… I love the artwork they went with for Mosquito Squadron, it reminds me of the old Commando comic books from my youth, cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Very nice pickups and review Alan, I saw “Monster Squad” in theaters and I just picked it up a couple weeks back and looking forward to giving it another watch. Hope your well and take care.
Hi Kenny, they released this just as I left home so it slipped through the cracks for me as I had little cash and no TV or VCR but glad to have finally watched it, it was a lot of fun. Hope it’s as good as you remember mate, take care👍😃👍
Great video and great pickups love the on the buses just need to get the films
Cheers mate, they are a limited release so bear that in mind mate, take care👍😃👍
I remember seeing some Space 1999 videos. Shame that Network is gone along with its creator.
Nice pick-ups Alan 👌
Thanks Matt, take care mate 👍😃👍
Hello sir Nice 👍 I'm jen
Hi Jen, nice to hear from you, feel free to drop a comment whenever you can, take care👍😃👍
It’s been foggy and rainy for about a week 1/2 but temperature is not too bad high 30’s , I’ll take that over negative any day
Hi Mike, I thought you were bogged down with Snow mate… I despise fog, it makes my mood drop and I end up with a migraine every time 🤬
@@kermitsghost no the temperatures went up so a lot of the snow has been melting some places that’s melting so much it’s flooding but not where I live
Another brilliant video Alan. I always learn something from your videos, this time it was Reg Varney being the first person to use an ATM machine. What a random choice but I guess someone had to be the first haha. On the Buses feels very of its time when you watch it nowadays but it’s not bad light entertainment in my opinion.
Guessing you didn’t have any interest in Five Nights at Freddy’s?
I thought it was an okay one off watch personally.
Have a great week 😊
Hi Tom, sorry for the late reply….. yeah it’s strange that Reg was chosen and where the ATM location was chosen as well 🧐 I’ve always had a soft spot for On The Buses so very happy to see them get a blu-ray release but I guess it will appeal to fans of the show only…. I will probably get Five Nights further down the line when it’s in a sale, (lets just say it’s not a priority for me at this stage) cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Wow so much out today Alan. That must have taken ages to film. I had to get both Canon ball runs and Five night at Freddy’s. Great pick ups and nice subscriber mail too. I’ve still got an unboxing to make of On The Buses! Cant beat the old ones.
Looked a murky start on the south coast. Speak soon.😃👍
Hi Carl, yeah I had to be quick today as there was a lot of voiceovers to record 😬 not to mention the video conclusion 😅 nice pick ups there mate….ohh did you get the On The Busses set too, yeah murky all along the south on Monday 😶🌫️ take care mate👍😃👍
@@kermitsghost I did get the complete series of on the buses but not the set you got. I love that set you got, really must get around to unboxing it.
Speak soon.😃👍
@@carlinio9look forward to seeing your unboxing (if you do decide to do one Carl) 👍
Let me know how the transfer is on cannonball run 2 . I got mine from Australia and the print was not too clean . The only reason I got the Australia import is because for some odd reason the US never released it to Blu-ray .
I didn’t pick this release up of Cannonball Run, I have the release from a few years back 🧐 it’s strange how the States don’t have it out on Blu-ray after all these years 😮 take care mate👍😃👍
Auyup Alan
Hope you and yours are doing okay? Not to mention, I hope Melanie is feeling better
Not much interested me this week on new releases like, but then I haven’t been buying religiously for like the last month or so, something about adult priorities who knew 😜
Hi Eva, it looks like Melanie has a hernia on top of things now, so she’s not feeling very well at all. It’s the same for me next week, no new release that appeal to me. Still I received a box set from Imprint that I’m making my way through for Mondays video, big hugs and cuddles Eva 👍😃👍
@@kermitsghost oh shit, is that just a complication from the previous surgery? That’s crazy if that’s the case.
I haven’t been feeling too great but it is what it is like.
Thanks for the cuddles. Much appreciated. 🖤
Great video as always lots of good releases this week. I will be picking up FNAF for the Mrs birthday, she really enjoyed those games and loved the film.
Unrelated to the video mate, but I’m curious to know will you be picking up the 4K of the abyss and true lies for the blu ray disc? Given that there are no plans, seemingly to release them a standalone Blu-ray.
Cheers
Nice grab there mate 👌 good question, I’m not sure, I may wait a bit to see if they announce a blu-ray stand alone release but if it looks like there’s no hope then I definitely will. Looks like it will be an import for The Abyss no matter what as the BBFC won’t pass it over here 🤬 cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Hi Alan hope you’re okay regarding the on the buses blu rays I have the original dvd set and saw this set on eBay last week so checked out some reviews on a film forum.
You mentioned the first disc quality was really good but not the other two my question is on the forum they slated the quality and advised anyone with the originals stick to them and not bother upgrading.
Well I trust your judgment more than faceless people I wonder if you could give me your view would you advise me to upgrade would I see a difference kind regards Dave.
Hi Dave, I haven’t seen the dvd quality so can’t do a comparison, the first film has an option of viewing the film in an un-cropped open matte version of the film and the picture quality is a big improvement on the alternate one, I mean they are TV made films on a budget from the 70’s so they are never going to be Avengers level quality but I found these were very clean, there is grain, you’ll never get rid of that but the images are very clear and colours vibrant and they do improve the newer the film. I’m very happy with them, I’ve seen a few screen shot comparisons and the Blu-ray is a lot nicer, I hope that helps, these are limited so once gone, I doubt they will ever be reprinted again (so if your not happy, I’m sure you could sell them on) take care mate.👍😃👍
@@kermitsghost cheers buddy thanks for that I do love those films I’ll take the plunge and go for them thanks for replying have a good day.
@@SBAYLISSmy pleasure mate 👍
did you see Tremmors 1 and Tremmors After Shock Comedy Horr.
Which, for sale or have I watch them? I didn’t see them for sale but I have watched the first film and it was brilliant, I should really check out the first sequel. Cheers Scott, take care mate👍😃👍
Just received new 88 films Blu-ray of night of the comet lovely slipcover 😍 unboxing on my channel 👍🏻💿🎥
Hi Stuart, nice one, yes, it is a very nice slip, I will check out your video mate, take care👍😃👍
@@kermitsghost beautiful slipcover cheers mate 👍📺
Hi Alan, great video, On the buses a great sitcom I'm debating to buy the blu ray release, but I do own the DVD box set... in your opinion would it be worth my while to update over to blu ray? Is the picture quality and sound much better? 🤔
Hi Ray, I’ve not seen the picture quality of the dvd set so can’t do a comparison, I found the picture nice as clean and the colours vibrant, it’s a limited edition set so when it runs out, I doubt they will make more so they will probably increase in price so I’m sure you could resell them if your not happy mate, hope that helps, take care👍😃👍
