oh, the beautiful vintage Gibsons he gets to play. Some "stars" make enough money to buy these great classics. G.E. Smith was talking about the early days when his mom bought his first guitar: '52 Telecaster ( first year after the Broadcaster change), for $100! He still has it and says he still brings it with him on the road! Anyways, Tobias is so smooth. His fretting is so conservative! Talent and a lot of dedication/practice! All I want is a pre-'70's standard-Les Paul! I sold my '71 Black Beauty 20 years ago $ 1,200. I'm gonna get one; gonna invest about $10k into one that feels and sounds right.

Beautiful playing and tone etc. But is this really a 1938 model as this L-5 tailpiece with the height adjustment (see the hole) wasn't introduced until later in 1939! Maybe it's a replacement.

The guitar is very beautiful and has the charisma of something old.
However, I like how modern guitars sound.

I wonder if this L5 is x-braced or parallel. It sounds wonderful.

It’s parallel bracing on this one 🤝… a beautiful guitar

I would like you to play this song with a classical guitar.
You would break the schemes to more than one.

To be honest it sounds pretty ordinary. These guitars were built to chunk out 4 to the bar in pre amplification dance bands. A half decent classical guitar would sound better.
