    Glad it’s not just me that leaves vital recipe ingredients out! 😅 awesome vid, love the content and how it’s presented!
    Also, fun fact, in the UK we don’t call them Frosted Flakes we call them Frosties! Genius!

    Thanks for another fun brew video Brad. Do you think the salt in the frosted flakes needs to be added into your brew water calculations? In theory it will change the chloride:sulphate ratio, practically speaking it would depend on the taste of the finished beer (which is what it is all about)

    • @graintoglass
      @graintoglass  Před 9 měsíci

      I don't think it will do anything to the chloride:sulphate ratio but I just looked at the nutritional information and it would add around 210ppm of sodium to the beer.

    My buddy makes beer using honey bunches of oats cereal and it's amazing. Especially considering that I'm not a drinker. Good video

    Funny my youngest grand daughter just gave me a few days ago a 3lb 4oz of Muntons Amber beer. Always only brewed wine on the cheap side. So I searched amazon for this can. I found it but with a newer looking label. So I looked on the can for the best by date and thats early next year. Sooooo what I have decided is since this is a 2 and a half gallon worth i will use my mr beer that i make wine in. I am going to warm the can as i heat up a half gallon of apple juice and combine them. Then after dilluting it in the kit to the 2 gallon mark i am going to put in about 8oz of oatmeal. I am guessing thats like dry hopping. I will leave it in there for 6 or 7 days before removing the mesh bag. Let it finish for a few more days before a final gravity reading. I'm going to call it my, "Winey Beer"
    Dont know why I shared this my first time here but hope you have a good day.

    And that's why my malt pipe has an appointment with a tig welder. Did a Julis and found out that even lifting can cause the bottom to twist and flex out. It might matter which way you install the bottom. I'm just gonna have it tigged in.

      That's a good idea. Might make cleaning it a bit harder but worth it for not having this issue happen again.

      Thought about the cleaning part. Might be an issue, so When changing guitar strings I used a .025 plain string cut about 6"/150mm long and used 4 as twist ties to hold the screen in place. Very tight and doesn't move. If needed it's very easy to remove. Screen stays looked in place.
      Where is the skittles ridiculous build?

    Watched your video on Friday night, then my mash pipe bottom blew out during a Saturday morning brew session. A great idea to dump it into a second pail and malt pipe. My first experience at doing that didn’t turn out so well. You saved an hour out of my day. (Couldn’t you have used the empty mash pipe you took out of the Brewzilla you were using?). Keep up the great videos.
