    Adding coffee to any brew sounds appetising, how would you add a chocolate flavour ?

      When I want to add chocolate flavor to beer I like mixing chocolate malts. For example I'll add regular chocolate malt as well as Briess dark chocolate malt into my recipe. If I really want to boost the chocolate flavor I'll grab a 4oz package of Brewers Best Cacao nibs and pour vodka into the package which I then seal and let it sit for 10 days while my beer ferments. Then I add everything into the fermenter and lit it sit for another 5+ days before packaging. Cheers

    How well does the whirlpool attachment work compared to the drill?

    • @graintoglass
      @graintoglass  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Whirlpool arm does a better job at actually whirpooling the trub/hops but i find that the Grainfather drill attachment cools the wort faster. Cheers

    Be interesting to see how this turns out. Always happy to see the BG4 being used. By the way is there any reason the dedicated robobrew/brewzilla 3.1.1 recirculating arm isn't used for whirlpool in the G4? Thanks Paul, keep up the good work. UK here but subscribed awhile ago. Always great content. Cheers 👍🍻

      Hey, I never used the whirlpool arm although I know quite a few brewers who do. I prefer leaving the recirculation arm on during the boil to sanitize it since that's what I use to transfer the wort into the fermenter. Cheers

    It looks really good, how long does the coffee aroma and flavor stays in the beer?

    • @graintoglass
      @graintoglass  Před 11 měsíci

      Hey, the coffee flavor should stay in the beer for a long time but that may depend on the coffee roast you use and the amount you add. Mine's only been in the keg for 10 days or so but the coffee flavor/aroma hasn't subsided at all. Cheers
