However, that particular Rangers team would have competed at the top-end of the EPL at that time, before the influx of money from TV and mega-rich owners in England. It must have been pure comedy in Rangers dressing room in the late 1980s and 90s. McCoist, Ferguson, Durrant, Gazza etc. I watched an interview with the late Ray Wilkins who was at Ibrox for a couple of seasons. He loved going to training for the banter alone. Must say also that Gazza was one of the most talented players to play for us. When he was happy he was unplayable, and he loved Glasgow.
By far the greatest player I've seen from England. The passion he displayed when he was playing was beyond others combined. Should have gone to France 98...Hoddle dropped a clanger!

I was on the security team at Bradford city & didn't know any of the players being a Newcastle fan. On my first day there I found Stuart Mccall & Steven Hendry inside one of the stands, they insisted they were players & I said likely story. I thought they were fans who had sneaked into the stadium so threw them out of the ground. It was only later pitchside when they ran out onto the pitch I found out who they were. They used to take the piss out of me after that but one day took me into the dressing room & got all the players to sign a program dedicated to me. I still have it. They were a great bunch of lads.
