  • In todays video Clevelan is installing his oil pan on the Ford 302 engine but there is a problem. The oil pan that he had planned to use does not fit. The pan is hitting part of the oil pump and overall the oil pan in question has had a leaky past on one other build. Clevelan chooses to take the oil pan off of his high dollar build to in stall on his budget build. Why would he do that? Well its because it saves him time and money because the Moroso oil pan is right there for him to use. He plans to order a new Moroso oil pan at a later date.
Now don't think the story ends there. Once installing the Moroso oil pan on the engine with a Summit gasket he runs into another problem. The gasket does not fit correctly with the Moroso pan. He decides to order a Moroso gasket that is made for that pan. Eureka!
When doing a budget build you will run into many problems but don't through in the shop towel just yet. Take the time to take a breath and think it through and you too will have a EUREKA moment.
    Thanks for watching!

Hey there Clevelan! I am enjoying the series and looking forward to more progress! My name is John and I'm looking for a lower intake from a ford explorer 5.0 with the internal egr passages for a project. I believe the engine you're rebuilding had one. If that's the case. Would you be willing to sell it? And how much?
