    Wes, I have watched you from the beginning and I have to say that it has been wonderful seeing you grow in so many ways, your content is always to the point and I love the humor that you put in everything, especially the wording you use too. Seeing your mechanical inventory grow and improve over the years has been something special to see and I love the fact that you share your wonderful life with everyone. Thank you for being such a honest and thoughtful man.

    I hope everything works out and you bale a heap of straw. Most farmers around me are way behind getting beans harvested and wheat in. Several who have planted early are having to replant due to it rotting. I believe crop insurance began backing off after Nov. 20. I hope ground conditions improve but it's mighty wet . Hoping you the best .!!!

    Check the price on a set of loader brackets for the 7530 so you can move the loader back and forth between the 7530 and the 8120. The 7530 would make an awesome loader tractor with left hand shuttle and IVT transmission.

Wife and I heading out to New Orleans for some great food,Jazz,and a relaxing get away. Supposed to rain some there too (of course) but will be warmish and we have umbrella's so no big deal. Just spent a basket full of money restoring a 99 F-250 and putting on a camper shell/topper to make it into a weekend camper and asked the wife if she wanted to go to the coast and camp for the holiday:luke warm reception to that idea.Asked her if she wanted to go to New Orleans: then she got excited.So the p/u I worked on for over a year will take us to the $250.00 a night suite in New Orleans.....Can't take my Ram 3500: won't fit in most parking areas.

    I'm down in NC. A few years back a crowd came through baling straw. Trucks said Pacific AG but I believe they had Kansas tags. They had 8R series deere's with front suspension, fat tires, and short axles. I could tell they weren't local because you don't see tractors spec'd like that here. They had mainly Massey Balers. All Equipment was new. They baled all the straw around and stacked it in the sides of fields. They said they were baling for a contact for erosion control on a new pipeline but some people also said it was for biofuel. Bales stayed there for a couple years, and I was told they ended up hauling bales up north for the composters. They only came through one year and heard it was a flop. I hope the best for you and hope you don't get jepped, Custom baling can be risky.

  • @davidrowley8251
    @davidrowley8251 Před 5 lety

    at 5:22 that limiter block is what a lot of folks doing straw with the Krone balers, adjust so that it carries the weight of the pickup at a fixed height, the gauge wheels are not normally in contact with the field. Since the straw stubble is usually higher than hay, the straw windrow is sitting up higher from the ground.
    Wes, Is this MY17 Krone 1290 HPD HS baler, equipped with brakes? If so, air or hydraulic?
    I wish they would stay this clean, after you start using them. When you go on your straw baling project, don't forget the oil for the compressor and self-contained hydraulics, you'll need to change them after breakin. And PLENTY of grease for the Beka-Lube centralized lubrication system.
    Sounds like somebody turned up that 7530 diesel engine. The English dynotest of 208hp, is a lot more than the 176hp that the Nebraska testing got.

    "If you scared say you are scared" Wes AIN"T scared. Hope your plans work out. As far as the draw bar goes I have seen people fit a brace (link) from the tree point attach point on the tractor to the draw bar via an ajustable link. We run Amadas 6 row peanut pickers around here and they are very draw bar heavy. Seen some neighbors do that on the older tractors. Plenty of hp just a little lacking in the drawbar strength. Or you could go with another stronger draw bar. Can't wait to see it run.

    That is just a beautiful bit of engineering. You have had only minor problems with the other Krone so this one should be awesome too. You think after spending so much on it that krone might have thrown that maintenance/spares kit in for free or at least as part of the deal. They obviously spend a lot of money on Research and Development. Having great service back up is something that has sold it too.

    The 7530 is not made for this kind of work, believe me, we tried it on the grain cart and a straw mill. And since you haven't air-brakes on the baler its way to lightweight for it. it will push you around the corners like hell and maybe lift the tractors ass end and kill the pto shaft.In the summer you will discover that the cooling package cant keep up and so the radiator fan goes nuts and sucks all the dirt and straw in, and so you're going nuts because its plugged constantly. These are my experiences.

    • @frank.s74
      @frank.s74 Před 5 lety

      @Fendt BlackBeauty Believe it or not, the things i wrote above are exactly my experiences with our 7530. Its by far the worst for working in dirty conditions. Blown head gaskets are also pretty common on them .Ours had it twice, the last time it cost over 10k because our dealer did it right and changed everything, cooling fluid in engine oil can be pretty abrasive. The 6210r does many things better. I would rather pimp up a 7810 to 200hp and bale with that, because it can take it.

    The gusset design and welding procedure is done to ward off fatigue cracking associated with stress flow lines on steel structures that are exposed to reversals of stress. Fatigue cracking on steel frames can take years to develop. Stitch welding is another method to accommodate stress and avoid cracking.

    Since you have this new contract, I'm wondering if you were still going put the loader on the 8120 or would you change your mind and put it on the 7530 since it's a better tractor for loader and already have the left hand reverser that would definitely makes thing easier.

    • @cmusic52
      @cmusic52 Před 5 lety

      I dunno, the 8120 would be a good tractor for hauling a lot of bales around with the loader and a large trailer w/o brakes behind it

    • @pedrobatista4439
      @pedrobatista4439 Před 5 lety

      @@cmusic52The only advantage really is it's weight to help stop those trailers. I'm surprise that OSHA and other institutions are all about safety but then they don't care about trailers without brakes, both Ag and road ones. Anyway it's way too long to have a loader and Wes already mentioned this, plus the 7530 has better maneuverability. Even though Wes was getting a bit tired about people saying the 7530 would be the perfect tractor for a loader, in the end, it's the true.
