I bet most of your beginner gardener viewers would greatly appreciate subtitles for the names of the plants and shrubs you showcased today. Thank you very much for creating helpful content on CZcams. More power to you.

Suggestion: For future shorts, could you ‘add the names’ of suggested ‘plants/other’ in the caption/description space/box. Thank you! Love your suggestions here… just couldn’t keep up with the speed - of the Short. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 😌❤️

My speedwell Veronica looks very similar to the ones you have, and they were small when we planted them. They have grown so beautifully and fill up the whole space.

I have an area in my yard that almost nothing but unattractive weeds grow. I'm thinking of stopping along roads to dig up attractive flowering weeds to plant. Any ideas of flowering, hardy plants to put there ? So far Hostas are doing well.

Your garden looks lovely, but it would be so much better for pollinators and the ecosystem if you used native plants. They're just as beautiful, and there are varieties that are similar to what you used. E.g. Native Annise Hysop instead of Agastache Blue Fortune.
There's also always a danger that non-native plants become invasive (English Ivy, Tree of Heaven, Garlic Mustard, Bradford/Callory Pear, Japanese Honeysuckle and many others) because they're not ecologically meant to be here.
There's tons of info out there now on native plants. When selecting them, make sure use ones that are native to your area of the country. Wild bergamot, wood phlox, echinacea purple coneflower, black eyed susan varieties, many asters, butterfly milkweed, heliopsis, coral native honeysuckle, and many other natives will beautify your garden, support a crazy diversity of native pollinators, and are low maintenance once established.
