Sherp Adventure in the City! Amphibious ATV is Unstoppable?

- When @RichRebuilds asks you if you want to go on a Sherp amphibious adventure through the city you say YES! This is exactly how we found ourselves in the Charles river floating through Boston, Massachusetts. The Argo is absolutely unstoppable in the city and floats like a boat. Maxes out at about 3 MPH full submerged but steers well and feels very stable.

We want to put Sherp tires on something silly! What should we put them on?
on a car
obviously your newly completed Offroad Tesla!
Something with only two wheels, build a sherp-bike of some sort. It would be unstoppable as long as you don't tip over.
Definitely some sort of buggy/sxs
We really should
Everything you guys do is the epitome of "men don't grow up, they just get better toys"
So what, you got a problem with that? I'll take you out foo! Indi go-go gangsta 4life!
I'm a girl and I fucking want one so bad tbh.
In this case I wouldn't say "better" toys, just a lot more expensive toys 😅. I was expecting that thing to turn turtle or sink
Man or woman, no matter how old you get there's always a toy store. Nobody grows up. Their taste in toys changes.

I like the title "ATV is unstoppable". Proceeds to be broken for most of the video. haha
But Sherps are so damn awesome. Would love to drive one, some day.
Yeah have to keep that water cap tight! Switch the! To a ?
seems like the only thing that stop them is themselve
It was fixed with simple tools while in the field, that is how something qualifies as "unstoppable".
What really sets Sherps apart from other ATVs is the ability to bush-repair almost any problem. They are mechanically simple almost to the point of being primitive and that means they need only basic tools and skills to fix them. They are sold with their own tool kit and common spare parts. The tyres can be self-inflated on the move and they can also run flat. Water in the fuel, however, will stop just about anything -- even a Sherp.
whistling-diesels truck did a better job
Ethan is the master of solving problems….most other dudes would just give up
Thanks!
Lmao wym give up? It’s better to try to solve the problem instead of planning on how Tf ur gonna get a big ass jeep thing out of the water and onto a trailer. Imo the only way I’m getting that thing back to where we took it off from was driving it. It’s pretty easy to diagnose what’s going on, it was clearly firing..
Can you just imagine being the person in that hammock. Like just enjoying your day in a hammock then all of a sudden a bunch of hooligans drive by you in a sherp determined for world domination but in the nicest way possible.
Right lol, that was my favorite
hooligans dont wear crocs and hawaiian shirts
I'm amazed that the Sherp doesn't have a water warning light , every diesel I've owned had one !!
Of all the vehicles *not* to have one.... 😅
This old school technology for sure.
I mean this truck still uses the stick. It’s outdated
@@TheLegendOfNiko bruh manual gearbox doesnt mean its outdated, my dads 2018 Ford focus has one.
Ukranian actually
Stevonnnnnnnn coming in clutch with the flute. It amazes me he’s also a musician, superior left and right brain skills
The Titanic bit.. that was it that had me rolling thanks guys again for more great content 👍
Haha
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo Google translates your "haha" to an "lol"
It had me going too. My kids looked at me like I was crazy
The way you can service it from inside is pretty cool. Very boat-like.
swimming in the Charles River is never recommended. "Love that dirty water..." Wish you had mentioned that you were headed this way (lot closer to Worcester than Idaho). hilarious episode of professional grade shenanigans.
Yes thanks!
I used to live in Worcester!
Shananigans
Stevon has balls of steel
Probably find one of whitey or the mobs cement shoes swimming in the Charles River
lol the fluet iceberg moment was gold
Always a good sign when there's spirited debate over "mandatory vs. recommended".
Aren’t you guys geniuses, when you go into the water you’re a boat. Life vests, anchors, oars, throwable flotation, flares, all the things you need in a boat! Great job planning ahead, and probably violating 10 laws. And was it registered as boat? I guess the driver didn’t learn his lesson when he was stopped with an unregistered vehicle in a past video! Pure genius!
Edwin: I gotta ask, how you rank with your neighbors here?
Uncle Rich: I was the first one here, they know the deal. 😂 Boss!
This is hilarious. I remember driving down Storrow Drive and actually _seeing_ this thing sitting in the Charles River and being very confused about what it was, and what do you know, months later I'm suggested a video answering my question!
Wee woo
I was dreaming about this project since years I'm very happy someone did it!!!
Totally awesome episode, full of surprises all the time hahaha. I honestly expected the adventure to go a lot smoother than it did 😆
Isn't there additional fuel tanks in the wheels? Also it's strange you didn't get hydrolock and engine failure with such amount of water in it.
I love how in real life this thing is one of the best off-road vehicles and in gta a small hill is too much for it
Where do I find the Sherp in GTAV?
Warstock
Someone just came out with one in Second Life. She said it can climb vertical walls (I haven't had the chance to try that yet).
This is my favorite channel in you tube . Thousand miles awe from me will be going to see this amazing brothers🥰 some day before die ( from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰)
Awesome guys!! My type of people. I am blown away by that Sherpa. What a stunning all-round machine. You would have so much fun here in South Africa because regulations are a myth.
Sorry spelling mistake, "sherp" not sherpa.
I want more of this!
A mix of CZcamsrs going on a adventure.. maybe in/on something one of them built
we'll be doing more of this in the future for sure!
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo awesome.. i also like the 🏁 racing vids with cars and cameras happy that is growing.. but this here was actually even more enjoyable to watch.
Also like that you guys have sur-rons just got mine a few weeks ago! Love the small block class. I have everything mini/monkey/mopad/scooter/dirtbikes motor-pads (motorized bicycles) seeing more gas builders pushing sur-rons is 😎 great
I'm not even done with the video, but the entire concept of this is hilarious! "Lets go drive down the river! Alright! *cool public domain music* Whoop, the car stalled!! Lets eat some snacks! Yeah! We're about to smash into the bridge, so....:" *LOL* Let me go back and see the rest!
1st time i see this channel, honestly i wasnt worried during the issue, you were 5 guys so at least one or two could solve. appreciate the video nice, it remembers me the problem we have in industry, always issues, it is the daily dose of work
I found an active septic line flowing into that river. They find them all the time. I hope he didn’t have any open cuts.
Wicked videos lads, as always! But that water made me extremely thankful that I live in Canada. Yet, I admittedly would risk a Hep shot for that adventure! lol
Keep on keeping on dudes!
Man this looks awesome! wish i had some friends i could do stuff like this with!
thanks man!
The way the water turned brown as hè paddled explains why none was swimming, im surprised hè didnt just melt, also its mindblowing that in a city like Boston none sells diesel
Should carry a backup outboard motor, when going on whater.😊
Wasn’t a Sherp but we had a naked man decide to float on some debris in a flooded river. Did not want to be rescued. At least he was singing God Bless The USA.
Wow
Greetings from Russia 🇷🇺 🤝🤟🏼
Привет из Америки.
It’s a Ukraine vehicle

Edwin for the win! You're a g bro!! You are the show 🤘🏻
Epic. Awesome work guys. Love seeing eBay Motors bringing cool people together. See you at SEMA
They are the best!
I used to throw rubbing alcohol into my diesel IH Scout's tank. To keep the water evaporated out of the tank and it wouldn't freeze up in the winter.
Thank God for grind hard Plumbing
U are Crazy Sir
Haha true
What an adventure that turned out to be lol Be safe my Friends :)
True!
Thank you, makes me a bit homesick
So cool, thank you guys
Good thinking brining a professional flute player
I'm glad yall are friends
i like the shoe on the fishing stick idea
Sherpa is a awesome machine but Wayyy over priced. For the price it should have a water in the diesel separator.
1. How did the water get into the tank?
2. What needs to be done to insure that it never gets in the tank again?
I think it just gets in and then gets pumped out like a boat
Right up close to us up here in Milton so it's about a hour away from here but but til next time godbless and stay safe
It looks like fun hanging out on the RMS shirp
How the heck did so much water get in the fuel tank? thought those things were amphibious…
I would love it if you guys could build a trophy kart in the future!!
We should!
Props to the Tesla guy.

"That's just recommended,I think we're good"
The famous last words.
Mass, really repping itself so well.
I just had a thought while I was watching this video your running on one gallon cans of fuel with a hose stuck in it so why not do the same thing with the fuel tank but keep the end of the hose at about the middle of the tank, the water and the fuel should be separated in the tank just like it was in the bottle. I say you really didn't have to go through all that it just makes sense to me I was a truck driver for many years and if I got water in my refer tank I just opened the petcock on the bottom of the tank and drained the water no big deal.
The fuel is stored in the four wheels on a Sherp. Rich has a vid I think going through some of the mechanicals in his usual humorous way. But the wheel storage is apparently why the water ingress happened in this case.
@@Smokey_A I don't know about that because I have never had a chance to work with one but they said in the video that they had a 20 gallon fuel tank but I could be wrong or perhaps this one has been modified.
@@EdTheMole It has four tanks in the wheels. I think it also has a central tank looking at Rich's video showing the repair. But you can also hear him mention the wheel tanks here: czcams.com/video/kiw9jkody9E/video.html and it's on the Sherp website.
Fuel that is stored in the wheels are like a jerrycan with the shape of the inside of the wheel. You have to manually ad the fuel to the main tank of the Sherp making sure you balance all the 4 fuel storage on the wheels so they weight the same.
I feel like Ethan is going to build his own now.
yes! I think you Grind Hard Boys would really enjoy meeting Samcrac. he’s Rich’s Stepbrother in Florida & those two can really chop it up together. as entertaining as they are, I learn something or get inspiration from GHPC, Rich Rebuilds & Samcrac’s uploads & projects. I was glad to see the Sherp’s Crew was able to get her back underway & motor sail back to friendly shores. topically applied medicated ointment should do the trick for any waterborne bacteria-caused rashes on your N. Idaho selves.

"The Argo absolutely unstoppable". Yea, unless you didn't check your AMPHIBIOUS VEHICLE's fuel for water, had so much water in your fuel it killed your engine, didn't bring backup/emergency fuel or filters, went to a city that doesn't sell the fuel you use and you bring electric vehicle experts for a quirky diesel vehicle. LOL! (what could possibly go wrong?!)
^ this
They didnt even bring a paddle
Love from western mass! Could take it downstream from Springfield, MA to Windsor, CT on the CT river!
Should put a propeller in the back so it can move faster that
damn that's insane, and aren't sherps registerable as boats?
This one is registered as a sail boat!
Runs perfect all its life until I went into the river.
Machines have a mind of their own!!
Great video none the less. Hiccups make a more interesting video😂👍❤💛💚
Came here from Rich Rebuilds !!
Keep up the collaborative efforts
I’d like to add this about the third time I see this rig in water….. the other time you broke though ice! An idea have you considered putting an outboard on the rear! That with a drop down rudders will certainly simplify a few issues in water!
Dangling on the side of the Sherpa inches away from massive wheels that would crush u if u slipped in. Cool vid but that looked sketch lol
Nothing like catching a fresh timberland off the back of a sherp in the Maryland harbor! Pshhh would you look at that.......
My man builded the zhaba
Great video guys!!
Хлопці, вітання вам з України. Відео про Sherp вийшло забавне🙂
Wow! Sherp is really amazing Ukrainian vehicle!
из Санкт-Петербурга если что..
Check out the latest from Fat Truck.
Glad you'll figured problem out,and found some diesel,cool 😎
BTW...
Not a piling...that would be a support made from large timber bundles.
It is a pier.
Made in Ukraine 🇺🇦🤟
Only ua patent bought, all in st. Petersburg, so sherp is ua nazi free
Ukrainian off road!!!
It’s actually Russian 😂
The company is certified with international quality standards ISO 9001 and its headquartered in Kyiv (Ukraine).
You guys on top are nuts! Is that Fillet of Sole I see?
Wow what an absolute adventure 👍
you know that it's Ukrainian stuff right? =)))

I'm imagining myself just chillin in a hammock and seeing this 🤣
I saw u guys in Boston i still have videos from the sidelines
freaked out when I saw this in my recommended, knew it looked familiar.
Sounds like you need to install a fuel water separater
Amazing !!!...... looks like so much fun !!
That invisible selfie stick is such a trip. Welcome to my home state.

In florida it would need a boat registration. That Diesel kid that destroys everything did something similar and that was his only issue by law
It has a boat registration, it's on the window.
looks hella fun ride after they solved the problem
Just another ridiculous adventure with grind hard plumbing
Awesome video!!!
Absolutely love this
Great episode! That was epic. I can't believe you did that without a chase boat. That could have gone so wrong. You guys are so lucky it didn't take on water or capsize.
TOTALLY can't believe you guys were here in Boston and I didn't know!!!!!!! I would have loved to come up and meet you guys or have you down here to Plymouth, MA!!!!!!! DAMN IT!!!!
We will post about it next time
I would've took the fishing rod with me! 1st time I've seen a sherp break down
Love the sherp everything fails be safe
