I love eBay for helping you guys do these projects.
We do too!!
Yes eBay Motors is the best sponsor ever! We could not do projects on this level without them ebayvehicle.com/app/GHPC
lol ebay gets more money lol then you use paypal and ebay gets even more money.then they can goto Washington and lobby the congress men to report anytime you spend over $600 to the irs .Im glad too!
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo I love ebay for auto parts, usually there is a US warehouse and I can get my parts quickly and at a great price.
What’s up with the Electric Tank?
Super awesome mini movie in the last minute just so you guys know…
Are you going to be at mountain mafia
WE LOVE LAST MINUITE STUFF.. PS .. TESSE NEEDS A GHP VINYL WRAP... WHITE JUST ISNT YOUR STYLE.. MINE EITHER .
Should've cut it flat lol and it needs atleast 4 to 6in lift not just the pucks
@@brother_bear3617 we are not sure yet
@@03Fastfittie glad you liked it!
"It's a perfect time to talk about our sponsor for this video, Penske Truck Rentals."
Haha! That’s actually the UPS truck. 🤣
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo thats a weird ups truck🪑🪑
@@loganchambers6842 in a lot of places those companies work with large scale transport companies. Even when I lived in Philly, I worked in a small shop and a lot of our stuff came DHL, FedEx, and UPS, via rental trucks. Yes, even Amazon was (is still?) in some areas. Logistics is nuts....
That would have been to good to be true!
I was a ups truck in my 07 malibu for a few months lol
I hope people appreciate how easy you make everything look. I love watching you work, good job bois.
Thanks!
Bois?
Love the choice of sign “ROAD MAINTENANCE ENDS”
Thanks!
Yes!
it's still a car though.... same as anything else
@@uncrustable9923 your correct
@@thatonelonelyguy6816 everyone acts like ev's are so superior but in reality the only thing they don't have is an engine. you still have to change your bushings and tie rods and control arms and break pads and calipers and windshield wipers and fluids and tires and struts and be constantly updating the thing and the lipo batteries might give allot of power but in the long run they don't last nearly as long as a normal nimh battery would. so when the battery goes your cars totalled since it wouldn't be practical replacing it money wise and same for any one of the motors. my friends have them and complain about all that. one said their stupid door handle servo stopped working and they couldn't get in. costed 5 something grand to replace and you have to bring it to a dealership because shops can't do it and in the winter you have to garage them or else any thin layer of ice will lock you out of your car because of how the door handles have to push out. if you want an ev teslas aren't the only ones and they certainly aren't superior over any other gas car. people's emotions usually take over when buying them, a family member of mine was trying to buy one and he completely ignored the fact he had to maintain it like any other car let alone buying and installing its huge charger and wasting electricity. and yall environmentalists think they're the way to go but where do you think the batteries the size of the car goes when they get disposed? what about the smog where do you think the electricity comes from? need diesel for that bishes 😂😂😂
"Gosh darn it I don't have my ground clamp" a classic, love to see it. Same energy as "damn it forgot the gas closed again"
The clamp is positive , not ground in most machines
@@Mr2winners Ethan himself said "ground clamp", which is accurate since he was using a MIG welder. TIG welders are the ones that actually reverse this (if I'm not mistaken), except when using a special wire that lets MIG welders weld without gas
I'm all for EVs, and THIS....
this is the future I want! I can't wait to see the crazy things people come up with! Insanely good job! :3
I love how silent it is. You can really hear everything going on, including nature. AWESOME!!
I love how you re use parts from broken stuff. Thats just refreshing to see
Always
Man that roof rack is really gonna tie it together! This is one of my favorite builds on the channel so far
Putting an exoskeleton on a lead brick!👌 God help whoever rear ends this thing.
no lie!
This is supreme entertainment. That mill adjustable height, ah, roller slider, you know saw horse for the chop saw is just too good. The flow you guys are having is insane.
Been loving all your projects since the barbie jeep, watched every one. I love it when you guys work on full size vehicles, from the crunchytaco to this sweet sweet tesla
...side note: yall might want to swap out that lathe belt shown at 4:40. You guys gotta stay safe so you can keep sending and bending!
Thanks man! Haha! Yeah, that belt has been like that since we bought the lathe. 🤣
The range of an off road EV is the electric equivalent of Smiles Per Gallon.
yes!
so mostly this 😶
Since there's no "gallons" maybe it's just Smiles Per Mile instead of Miles Per Charge
Smiles per watt
hurr durr, smiles per gallon, urrrrr durrr!!
You guys really found a great music style for your videos. Really enjoying them, even if I'm just listening on the side.
Glad you like them!
Its always amazing the art work that goes into your projects!
Fuk YEEEEEHHHHHHHHH boys! Made my friday. Was waiting for a schweet drop to kick this weekend off right!
Awesome happy to hear it
hands down the best/most creative youtube channel out. love yalls work! Crazy to see what creativity can do
Thank you so much!
That bumper was beatifull. The design looks very much inline with the tesla logo and styling, while still keeping a mean expression. Best tube bumper to date!
These Plumbers are f*cKing Genius and real Artists at the same time.
Metal an Camera work is awesome.
Love to see this.
The last 1:30 was my favorite part. Still love watching you guys make stuff. Keep it up
Glad you liked it that was our favorite part to make!
ALWAYS hypes me up watching your guys videos I need some land and toys to rip around on ASAP
Glad to hear it man! That’s the dream!
Same.
Pretty cool job you did on that duel motor model 3 , I'm waiting for the Cybertruck to see what it can do with the adjustable ride height , endless mods will no doubt be done to that one , I can't wait !
I absolutely love watching all of your guys vids! i am always amazed at the stuff you wind up doing! you do the craziest things but you do them correctly and clean all of your projects up to look awesome!
Great work :) Both pedals = neutral is really irritating in loads of situations, not just for wacko woodsmen! Loading onto trailers, doing precise movement of any sort. It could be fixed by an update if the Lords of Tesla are feeling benevolent.
How’s the fire truck coming along? Can’t wait to see it again!
Coming soon!
Great! Update coming soon!
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo awesome
Amazing can't wait to follow this series. Love that one of my fav youtubers are into Tesla's now. Also rear lights should be easy, no canbus needed. there are 12v wires for break, running, turn, and reverse, making acc or trailer harness hook up easy.
thanks for testing it to newer lengths. that is so cool!
You amongst a few keep youtube afloat.
For future mudd flapps, conveyor belts often contain asbestos in the reinforcement. Cut not grind hard.
Eirik
Thank you!
Love your skills in Metal Fab! I’ve been in metal fab all my life and would like to give you one big tip that will definitely save you a bunch of money and time/frustration… Don’t use WD 40 type products or motor oil when cutting or drilling metal if possible, these products are designed to keep metal on metal surfaces from abrading each other. Use cutting oils instead… 😆 oh and if you hear a saw blade or a drill squealing at all you are no longer shearing the metal and making the bit dull and creating a work hardened surface. If it makes a loud noise you need to take a bigger bite 😁 hope this helps a bit! Get it… “bit” 😂
Yeah we normally use cutting butter but we ran out haha
I forget who it was, but I saw someone using isopropyl alcohol. Is that recommended?
@@Rattus-Norvegicus wtf?
This isnr a serious question?
@@krotchlickmeugh627 Seriously yes, and if I recall correctly the person was reasonably talented with a lathe. I just can't remember who it was.
@@krotchlickmeugh627 OK, I just looked it up. It is used in aluminum lathing applications, which if memory serves is what the gentleman I saw was using it for. I still wonder if it could be used for other materials or if they heat up too much?
Amazing work as usual it's really nice that you guys take the time to respond to your subscribers
It's soooo great that you guys got together ❤
I thought the sponsor would be penske moving trucks......it drove by in the background at the perfect time hahaha
haha true
I hope Simone Giertz sees this video. Seems like a trailer hitch is something she might want on Truckla, and that bumper looks sick!
Been a while since I watched you guys and from TSLA stock today this video is just amazingly done! Great job boys 👏
Ive cut washers out of flat plate for body bushings before, but for a while every time I went to the salvage yard I grabbed a piece or two of extra hardware. So I have couple coffee cans full of washers, bolts ECT. Still nice craft
"Question" When welding the trunk bottom did you have to disconnect the drive motors battery bank? When you weld on a conventional automobile you're supposed to disconnect the starting battery because it's grounded to the frame.
Good point.
EV’s are not grounded on chassis like a 12v system, I believe you had to disconnect the 12v and that would be enough
When is your new shop getting built? Looks like you cleared a bit of land where the sand jump used to be.
Next spring!
Please tell me that your making the trusses with your rouge fab bender😉
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo Yeeeewwww!!!!!
True pioneer, your name will be remember till the end of time.
Dude your Tesla is so sick! Love your tubing artistry for the bummers! Great stuff!
I havent seen Sam for a few episodes, I hope he's doing well!
He is doing well! But sadly he isn’t able to work with us anymore…
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo oh no. Why's that?
@@clovenhalo0798 I hope they don't answer this question, for Sam's sake
@@Hawk7886 what's that supposed to mean? I'm not asking for details I just asked what happened. If they say it was a disagreement or something that would answer the question.
@@Hawk7886 also I'm not being defensive I'm kinda tired and your comment confused me.
Might I recommend some rock sliders? you know so you dont end up getting in and out through the window.
Absolutely! That’s next the list!
The skill level here ,both filming and fab, is off the charts.
Thanks man! Glad you think so!
This is the first video I saw from you guys, I love what you do
Just out of curiousity.. do you have the link to those led pod taillights? I really want a set of those. And those look amazing.
y'all and simone giertz with her pickup model 3 should collab one time
That would be great!
i love how you guys progressed! really good quality videos
I own a Jeep as you can see. So ill give you a Tip! Side Bars Is a Most! Like that you can land and scrape your bottom sides without destroying the door or side panels
Had a blast hooky bobbing on the ramp! You east coasters don’t use that word right?
@One Man's Trash Aus so true
Would love to see what Elon thinks of your build. I bet he'll grin from ear to ear
I sure hope we get a reaction out of him someday!
Or his company remotely limits the speed, power output, and charging time.... 🙄 Luckily thier portion of Idaho is basically a giant Faraday cage for wireless communication 🤣
@@berryreading4809 I hear ya on that, barely any options for decent broadband up here without spending some serious cash.
@@oliver_klozoff how far did you have to drive to reply to this comment?! 🤣 kidding, but maybe master Elons starlink will be the solution 🤔 although it looks like it'll end up being atleast $100 a month with data throttling... just based on rumors anyway 🤷♂️
@@berryreading4809 luckily i live in town and have cable internet, it's fast but pricey. Anywhere out of city limits here and your options are severely limited to Hughes net and maybe frontier or whoever bought those fraudsters out. Starlink would actually be 20 cheaper than what I pay for a 100/10 cable line, but I'm on a no data cap plan.
Awesome work! Can’t wait to see what’s to come
This video made my day 1000 times better
So happy to hear it!
First let me say I know nothing about electric cars or solar energy. But I was just curious, could you put solar panels on the roof of your car to extend its range and also recharge the batteries when you aren't around a charging place?
It would be a very small percentage of the overall range but it could help especially if you were parked all day in the desert or something like that
You need a about 3 to 4 parking spaces worth of Solar PV to have a decent charger rate to power something like a Model 3. It maybe give you 150 miles in a Day. But when it comes to remote places like this where you can have a permanent setup. A Solar Array that size + a VAWT could very much entirely power a BEV. Problem is the cost of the big battery sponge soak up the energy.
If Elon messages you for a job.....you better tell us! Haha
" i want you to make this for a production vehicle "
The Grind Hard special edition tesla will be the best selling electric car they ever pump out haha
We will let you know for sure. We should start tweeting
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo its already better than thier "truck" idea haha
Wow you guys are great! I found you when you did the e36 turbo truck you guys are living my dream.
sweat!!! top video, looking forward for the rest of the project
Don't make that shirt a limited offer. You need to stick with that logo.
It is one of our favorite logos for sure! We might make a hoodie with it soon
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo sounds good to me. Just try to make it an oversized hood. That's how I like mine anyway. Keep up the good work brothers and I wouldn't mind seeing you add a bar to the front bumper of the tesla at an angle so that the body line does not just cut off like that. Just a suggestion.
Your by eye construction and back yard mechanics are so awesome
Building shit is cool
Need more people like you guys
Thank you! Glad you appreciate it!
Bumper looks great. Love your fabrication skills. You make it look so easy.
Thank you!!
Great work! That thing is freaking epic!
The Model 3 is so versatile!!! What a crazy good car 🚀👍🏽
You guys are so talented!!
That bumper is a piece of art! Great job!
Thank you!!
Would be interesting to see some rock sliders on it, would decrease the ramp over angle but means you don't have to worry about the sills getting damaged. Love the work and effort into this stuff guys, so entertaing. Keep it up!!
Sometimes I just forget to check out my subscriptions page for a while, and then youtube sucks at recommendations sometimes, can't believe I missed this video, this thing is AMAZING! Looks like so much fun. Time to catch up on other stuff, thanks for the cool shit!
Nice work! Function > Form, but you still managed to make it look completely badass.
I once used a street sign as a skid plate on each end of a VW Thing. I also used pre-loading to add extra strength, and rigidity. I bolted it to the bottom of the bumper, then used a jack to bend the other end to where I could attach it to the frame with u-bolts. Idea was to leave skid plate with a tensioned bend that would add strength and make the plate resist being pushed up against the underside of the VW during a hard impact. Grind hard, bounce off!
That’s a good idea!
Wow. A shop with the right tools. I made chop saw gears at b&d. They gave me tool and die maker pay scale, early 80'$
Thaaaaaannnnkkk you guys nothing else that can make my Friday beter 😁
So happy to hear it!

I've been wanting to see a tesla converted to a rock crawler or tough truck. The torque and low center of gravity makes it perfect for those kind of sports. This is the closest that I've seen so far. Looks great.
That's a good looking show.
Get it fellas badass can't wait to see it. Done
Thanks man!
The effort just deserve’s a like 👍🏼
Love this. Thank you.
Definitely do the ol tack weld trick on those noisy weld on D-rings if they will rarely be used 😉 if I actually plan on using them often and don't want to hear the rattle, I temporarily shim them centered, then fill the void with black RTV/Lexel/polyurethane roof or seam sealant/100% silicone caulking or anything else that's flexible and within arm's reach 😄 👍 I promise it mostly works for a while!
Love this amazing project
