      There is one more accient connection with Korea is that one of Indian princess of Ayodhya got married with Korean King and she become Queen of Korea. This connection still exist when numbers of Korean use to visit Ayodhya every year.

And every Bengali children has a memory of performing on Rabindra Jayanti.       @@debayan_bhattacharjee আজও অনেকে রবীন্দ্রনাথ পড়ে, তাকে জানার চেষ্টা করে। জন্মের একশো দেড়শো বছরেরও বেশি সময় পরে যিনি মানুষের মনে থাকেন তিনি অমর। তাঁর সব লেখা সবাই পড়ে না ঠিকই, কিন্তু তাই বলে তিনি অপ্রাসঙ্গিক হয়ে যাননি। এখনও মন খারাপ হলে, আনন্দ পেলে, পরীক্ষায় কোটেশন দিতে গেলে আমরা রবীন্দ্রসঙ্গীত কিংবা রবীন্দ্রকবিতার থেকে উদ্ধৃতি দিই। সেটাই অনেক। আপনার মনে হয়েছে ওনাকে সবাই ভুলে গেছে কিন্তু আমি বিশ্বাস করি তিনি বেঁচে আছেন, যতদিন মানুষ থাকবে, মানুষের অনুভূতি থাকবে, ততদিন তিনিও থাকবেন। আর বাঙালি বাঙালি সবসময় বলে চিৎকার করা জাতিপ্রেম না, প্রাদেশিকতা, সংকীর্ণতার পরিচয়। ওটা আমিও করি না।

      Tagore is a unique person in history as he has written the National Anthem of 3 nations...yeap ...India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka
      (“ The anthem was written and composed by Ananda Samarakoon, most probably in 1939-40, while he was Tagore’s disciple at Visva-Bharati University. Samarakoon’s first Santiniketan stint ended after six months but it was inspiring enough for him to return and begin the first traditions of a unique Sinhalese music.“)

    He's from the village called jorasanko at that time, which is located in west bengal. And I'm also from jorasanko too.And his mother tongue was bengali. And I'm proud to be an Indian and also a bengali. And I feel lucky when I read his poem in his own language...

Tagore was from my native place and he has given Bengal more than 3000 songs apart from dramas and poems. There will be no other Tagore.       @@isaacfoster2820 The whole Bengal was part of India. After 1947 East Bengal was separated from India. Now it's called Bangladesh and It is an Islamic country more than Bangladesh. How can someone judges the Bengal's real identity with a few years history (after 1947)... West Bengal is a state of India and it represents the real Bengali culture. Bangladesh represents Islamic culture more than Bengali. They just use Bengali language. They left most of the Bengali culture after 1947. You can see real Bengali language and culture in these Indian states- West Bengal, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Tripura...

    I am from Trinidad and Tobago, my ancestors came as indentured workers cultivating the sugar cane plantations. The British brought my ancestors here. My people continues to practice Indian culture to this day. I am truly happy to know now that Mr Tagore continues to have such a profound impact in your country . I have always love your country.

    I am a Indian Bengali and i can say Rabindra Nath Tagore was not just an poet he was a jewel, every single song, poem, literature, drama written by him inspires and gives hope for living in 2021 todays world.
    The words of his songs poems and literatures will shake you from inside.. But unfortunately very few from todays world understands the dept and meaning of his literature..
    He has writtings for every single person of different age and circumstance..

    Thanks for the compliments! Great to learn that Rabindranath's poems are taught in Korean schools! I hope the internet facilitates people to learn about his contributions to music, poetry, and literature in general. Hopefully, you will go on and learn to appreciate his songs & music (Rabindrasangeet) in the future. Unfortunately, a lot is lost in translation!
