Life in general will always and forever be their greatest work. Anything they do is great, but LIG is the album that got me into them. Almost 30 years later and they’re still my favorite band of all.
I would argue best punk album of that decade. What comes close? Blink 182? Nope. LIG best album. And they did with clean, non-vulgar lyrics, which is a marvel.
To be fair, this show aired at midnight on Sundays. 120 minutes was a bright spot for alternative/indie artists…the rest of the programming was the same garbage we have today.
Does anyone else have a recording of MXPX MTV News interview from like 1998 at TomFest in Seattle? Featured Bill Powers from T&N and Jeff Bettger from 90lbwuss. It was right after they put out SGTWOTB.
@@jasonbisdead I'm 30, I was so young in the 90's but still remember the days when you could hear this music on the radio or MTV. Damn, nostalgia all over
Ah back in our "dude talk" days. And it was like, really cool and like this guy just let us use his house for the video. It was like really cool. I guess they couldn't mention Andy's name here? Their original guitarist Andy Husted.
The chuck Taylors all in a row lol awesome 😎

Teenage politics was the first time I ever heard punk and it changed my life
It's too confusing 🤔🤣👌 love mxpx.
Same
Gotta say, I appreciated the explanation of "My Mom Still Cleans My Room" 😁
This is the exact day that Yuri and Tom caught their baldness from Matt Pinfield
Back when MTV wasn't a totally disgusting network.
Back when MTY actually played music and not reality shows.
@@tonyanderson2324 or ridiculousness 24 hours a day
Assistia muito Mtv 🇧🇷😔

Yes it was
They’re the reason I discovered MXPX, thankfully. 👍🏼
That couch looks really uncomfortable 🥵
I haven’t seen this since it aired. Thank you for posting it.
Look at these babies!

its crazy how much more talkative they are now since then especially mike he always seemed like he was high back then during interviews
He was high on jesus
So awesome to hear Mike saying he was influenced by Descendents and Dead Milkmen.
This is gold
I was a teenager about 3 years after this... I wish i would've been a teenager during the 90s
Back in 96 I played a lot of MXPX at the Local College Radio Station (KGRG) good times.. MxPx and Yellow #5
Nice, they’re all wearing chucks. Kinda gives them a retro-50s vibe.
That definitely was a thing in the punk/hardcore scene during those days. Retro styles were awesome.
They were so awkward in this interview, but it was fun to watch them from back then.
I wanna yuri be my math teacher! 😁
And the rest is history... 😉🤘🏻🎵🎸
They’re so young.
I feel SO old watching this walk down nostalgia
The office of my Jr High had this same screech....
最高!!!!
Cool band, but I am sooo late to this punk rock party!
Don’t worry, a lot of us 40+ year olds were around for it!

They seem so nervous
I will never not love MxPx.
I tried to doble like this video

I always listen to this song right after I put it on - NOFEX linoleum
Mike u hugging yuri
You don’t want to know where his hand was
It’s crazy that mxpx fully transitioned into a white power band.
