- Asphalt 9 newest king may be the Devel Sixteen, but up to what point is that true? Today, I'll be showing you some of the multiplayer races I could do with my noob skills and my almost maxed Devel Sixteen after completing drive syndicate and in the Asphalt 9 new update, as well as I'll share how driving one of the best cars of this racing game changed my own perspective about it and what place it deserves. love the fact that it looks much better here than in a8, but damn it's kinda tricky to drive, i personally prefer the f5 over this.
The F5 is definitely easier to handle (and that's a lot to say)
A8 version of the concept car is the first one while this is the second version in A9 Legends

It is normal that GL designed Devel Sixteen with weird physics as game balance, thus, it is kinda hard to drive. So Devel Sixteen and F5, I will still choose F5
umm, the devel is still 50km/h+ faster than the venom.

I think the Devel is the new objective king but for individual people, I see the F5 being a better choice for some due to its consistency. Guess we will wait for either bug fixes or for aliens to discover the most optimum driving techniques for the Devel so that the car's full potential is unleashed.

The problem of Devel struggling to go from 400 to top speed comes from its acceleration in air. Devel on the ground accelerates almost as fast as Rimac even when near top speed, bu it accelerates like a Lancer in the air. Since most people drive the car at 400-550 kph in the middle of a race, and most of the ramps are taken also in the middle of a race, you get the feeling of Devel struggling to go from 400 to top speed.

I'm ngl this is probably the most worth it DS ever (in terms of cars, not in terms of money). If you spend you can get the best AND the second best car. That's quite nice

The A9 Devel's situation reminds of technically the fastest "Car" in A8 which is also cursed with near impossible handling and wonky track physics to balance out it's OP Nitro Top Speed;
Dodge Tomahawk... 😅
And as powerful as both are in their respective games I think most will not necessarily turn to them in MP except as a challenge to their mastery/skill.
King of the game overall but the F5's stability will always be a preferred choice in my opinion.
However , unlocking and Gold MAXing the Jesko is my true endgame as the best balanced out of all the OP Kings. 😏

To me, the Devel is one of the kings of the game, but in my heart, Venom F5 is a better option for me, and I did unlocked it in a special pack. So Venom F5 has more value for me. I did finished the 765LT stage and I did SC dump on the 9x8 packs. Yes I did bought 7 blueprints for the syndicate market so I need 18 left to unlock. And yes, I have 3 more money runs from Foothold, so I hope I can get them.

What we really need right now, is a face to face to face battle between the devel, the venom, and the jesko absolut, one straight track and one twisty track, winner takes the title of the new king

Why Devel Sixteen's Drift Broken?
1. The car is HELLA Long
2. It's so sharp that the car lifts up
3. The drift angle is Insane that the car looks Sideways
4. Is P2W

Yeah you’re right, I tried punch & floaty with it in the daily event and this car’s drifting sometimes became bugged so it’s not a good idea to do floaty / punch. It’s also way harder to drive, really unstable than the f5. Nitro is also way worse than f5 which makes some ramps slow you down instead of speeding you up nitro is really weird aswell. Overall it’s a king but I’d prefer venom over it as it’s still easier & better for normal players.

Datos importantes del Devel
1.- En los primeros minutos y horas que salio en el MP2, en la tercera caja de cambio (o al tercer cambio) el auto aceleraba muy lento. como un Regera de la vida real y XJR-9 en el juego
2.- tiene la misma mecanica oculta del Elva y Trion. con shockwave acelera rapidisimo y mas si va a 400+ kmh o en 450 llega a su velocidad maxima con 1
3.- por ahora el F5 Sigue siendo el rey del juego pero el Devel el rey de la velocidad maxima y de slipstream. el Devel necesita fix urgente en sus fisicas ya que por lo que se no tiene hitbox en la parte de atras. solo en la cabina y por eso el auto acelera tan lento en el aire. necesita ese fix (Aceleracion en aire) y sus fisicas ya que ni punch ni Floaty se puede hacer siempre porque las fiziks llegan de una y pierde demasiada velocidad en lugar de mantenerla. en los primeros momentos era el XJR-9 de clase S. ahora es el Imola de clase S. cuando lo arreglen al 100% será el rey del juego indiscutiblemente

At first the F5 was difficult for me to drive, but after trying the Devel Sixteen it seems the F5 is much easier. I even improved.
The Devel Sixteen is at this point, a car for simple driving just for any new but not novice asphalt enthusiast, in other words, don't try any fancy tricks or you might be punished by the cursed physics of this game. If not for the sensitivity of its drift, a regular player could master Devel Sixteen at a high level.
Can't wait to try it in Slipstream tho

when f5 came out it was also considered extremely hard to drive, but when u get more used to it, it becomes better. same with devel, but i think the physics has gone too far

The developers give power to any car as well as take it away. The Devel brand must have made a good agreement so that its "concept" car is the most broken in the game. It's already somewhat exaggerated

But In Elite Event or Any other Events Devel will clap the face of F5

I still think the devel is king tho. I was able to get times sub most f5 world records easily (on tracks like 1k Mina, etc.) so for TLE it’s definitely unbeatable on pretty much any map. For mp, in ghost, I think f5 and devel have similar performance, mostly because of the devels very unbalanced physics. So it’s partially “luck based”. In slipstream tho the devel is just unbeatable aswell. good to very good skill level because the devel is very hard to properly drive.

I have no idea why but i prefer f5 over this. Yes the devel is faster, its sharper, its better *but at what cost are you driving it if you cant even control it easily like the f5?*
Well if you can tame the beast its op but as a f2p player id say f5 better for smothness the devel is just kinda abrupt with handling like the trion sometimes wide sometines super sharp.
F5 is not extremely easy but it's somewhat manageable when compared with the Devel
What i find the most let down is that the Devel cant floaty or punchy drift, which i really annoying. This means it will loose a lot more speed whilst drifting and so once you get out of the drift, its a lot harder to get up to the top speed. And the other thing is, th accel is just weird. It accelerates normally on the ground and everything, but once airborn, its like its worse, idk if its just me but atleast thats what it think. What i also think would be different with the devel, is that ( for example) on nevada, the long straight bridge section, wouldnt it be faster to not take any of the ramps, as to driving in a straight line at the top speed being 556, only 44kmh slower than max air speed. Beacause, the path that your taking would be a lot of up and down which is so much slower than just going straight, right? Im not sure about that, but it goes to show how brocken the speed is, and how differently we are going to have to use the car too, anyway great vid man!

I think Devel is the new king. Just that the difference between the Devel and the F5 is not as big as between the F5 and the Jesko.

2. If you had to guess, will this car ever be made available again via a BoS event?
Until the day in 2028 when the better than Devel car releases, ig the only way we will have the Devel is as the main car of a mega BoS with like 40 cars where to get the key you need all cars golden (including the devel itself) and with Devel packs costing 2k for 10 (with no key pack of course)
I do really think that at this point Bolide and CC850 should appear at some point, maybe in a bit more expensive BoS but wouldn't be illogic
