FIRST TIME LISTENING TO Primus "Tommy The Cat" Bonnaroo 2011 Official Video REACTION - Hudba
I've seen a lot of reactions to this video but yours is the correct one.
Lol
LMAO correct
True words, sir!
Yup
Absolutely. I’ll love this reaction.
NOW you got the FUNK!!!
THERE ARE NO BAD PRIMUS SONGS!!!
No one sucks as good as Primus!
Absolutely correct
PRIMUS SUCKS!
'She came slidin' down the alleyway like butter drippin' off a hot biscuit.'
Flying Ardilla and she knew what she wanted.😏
@@stephenlackey5852 She wanted that stud bull!
She was looking for that studded bull?
PRIMUS is one of the most overlooked band ever. Try "Wynonnas big brown Beaver", "Shake hands with beef", or my favorite, "My name is mud".
American Life at this same performance... I was at this show!!! Still "eeeeeee"!!!
really dude ween sucks in my opinion but Mr Bungle and Mike Patton in general are amazing
Also need to check out "Fizzle Fry" and "Mr.Krinkle" 🤘 PRIMUS SUCKS
You haven't even scratched the surface of this rock genre
PRAXIS
@@rosco3516 yo!!
@@seriousbismuth2173 lol. I just finished editing my Robot Chicken comment. Nice to see you again. 🥰
Check out Jerry Was a Racecar Driver, John the Fisherman, Lacquer Head
Greet the sacred cow
Wyona’s big brown beaver too
the new shit not bad either i really like "The 7"
@@diaryofamadwhiteman9641 NOBODY else knows this song. It's a go-to for me every time.
Jilly's on smack
I've loved primus for at least 30 years glad to see new fans being made
At the 5:30 mark, TheRealScribe realizes she is listening to a genius on bass guitar.
Another live Primus “Those damned blue-collared tweekers.” Live from Woodstock 1995
I second that!
Always glad to see people react to and enjoy my favorite band
dude...
I’m 58, I have been a musician for 50 years. I saw all this stuff live and have followed this bass player from the beginning. Please watch “shake hands with beef” next. I love watching you guys react to the music I have loved for decades
As a diehard Primushead… here are my personal favs:
-Harold Of The Rocks - Last Salmon Man -Bob - My Name Is Mud - Ms Baileen - Professor Nuttbutter's House Of Treats - Welcome To This World
It’s “Pry- Muss” lol Les Claypool is the best slap bassist there is! Those Damned Blue Collar Tweakers at Woodstock is amazing! I’m in the pit stage left! 🤘#PrimusSucks
Geddy Lee from Rush is his idol bro. Best bassist ever
Shayne Cullen can’t find the lie.
The intro for this video was Those Damned Blue Collar Tweekers, did they play it after?
Lionel Arthur Fluxington idk what you’re asking. This video was from Bonaroo and Woodstock was in 1994. I def don’t remember a set list from 25 years ago.
PRIMUS SUCKS!
This man is playing one of the hardest slap bass lines I have ever seen and singing at the same time
a smile from start to finish...thats Primus
Any Primus song is good to react to... I'll name few : Jerry was a race car driver - Lacquor head - Shake hands with Beef, - Harold of the rocks... The choice is yours :))
Harold of the rocks gets over looked too much
watching people discover Primus will never get old. Same with watching them go further down the Claypool hole.
Your reaction and obvious infatuation with Primus just got you a new subscriber. Keep on rockin’, love.
LOVE seeing people discovering PRimus! So good.
In case you were wondering about the lyrics.
“Well, I remember as it were a meal ago
Said Tommy the Cat as he reeled back to clear whatever foreign matter
May have nestled its way into his mighty throat
Many a fat alley rat had met its demise while staring point blank down
The cavernous barrel of this awesome prowling machine
Truly a wonder of nature this urban predator
Tommy the Cat had many a story to tell
But it was a rare occasion such as this that he did
She came slidin' down the alleyway like butter drippin' off a hot biscuit
The aroma, the mean scent, was enough to arouse suspicion in even the
Oldest of tigers that hung around the hot spot in those days
The sight was beyond belief
Many a head snapped for double--even triple--takes as this vivacious
Feline made her her way into the delta of the alleyway where the most
Virile of the young tabbies were known to hang out
They hung in droves
Such a multitude of masculinity could only be found in one place
And that was O'Malley's Alley
The air was thick with cat calls (no pun intended)
But not even a muscle in her neck did twitch as she sauntered up into
The heart of the alleyway
She knew what she wanted
She was lookin' for that stud bull
She was looking for that he cat
And that was me
Tommy the Cat is my name and I say unto thee
Say, baby, do you want to lay down with me?
Say, baby, do you want to lay down by my side?
Ah, baby, do you want to lay down with me?
Say, baby?
Say, baby?”
SAY BABY !!!!!
I shared your vid with Jay Lane, the drummer. He is a buddy of mine and he really appreciated the shout out. He said everyone always concentrates on Les, the bass player.
Primus is one of those bands that I can still listen to from the 80s-90s era. They are unique and weird but that is why they are awesome. Les Claypool is a beast on Bass too.
I know this is old but this is my favorite reaction to primus on CZcams.
One of the best bassist of all time. Period.
Primus aged a lot better than most 90's bands
I’ve seen people say that her reactions are fake. Nope... she feels. She feels it right on the surface-can’t help but be carried away by her emotions...
It’s beautiful😌
Primus transcends all musical genres. Their talent is way off the scale of believability. Pure musical genius!
Jill's on Smack (Live version)...is one of my favorites from the band.
Enjoy your Primus journey! Glad you found them.
Didn't know that they were this good live. :)
Primus is one of the most unique bands in the World 🌎
Best Primus reaction ever!
Dude!. I couldnt wait to see.you start on this jam.
Now you know. Awesome reaction, thanks for sharing! :)
Great reaction!
That was absolutely totally fire. So much fire!🤘👏🤪😍
Damn look at that, she is in the freakin zone! You go girl!
Amazing beautifully change of you during the first 35 seconds of this song.
You either get this or you don't. You get it and I'm proud of you.
The best reaction ever. You are awesome
Yea! WOW you got into it! You def got the funk in your soul
I always love seeing how you get into the music and rock and Funk out.
The first time I heard of them was in concert. They were the warm up for Rush. You talk about a badass concert. Two of the very best bassist's and the greatest drummer.
Check out Mr Kringle, my name is mud or southbound pachyderm.
Rush and Primus connection.....Primus opened for Rush on tour in 1992, and since then the bassist has crossed paths with the prog legends many times. In 2006, Claypool performed at Rush's Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame induction, and last year, Geddy Lee sat in with the Claypool Lennon Delirium in Toronto.
One of the best bassist ever. Les Claypool
Love that reaction.....you got it
my boy is killin dat bass my girl.scribevibe ror real
I’ve subscribed based on this video...As an old school Primus fan, I bid you welcome, dear new sister! NEXT Primus song is called, “pick ANY of them,” lol...”Tragedy’s A Comin” is straight...”American Life” is a tight classic BUT FIRST....”Lee Van Cleef”!!!
Primus to the face!!! Ride that funk ALL THE WAY DOWN.....
You probably have heard them but didn't know it. They wrote the opening music to South Park and were also in the battle of the bands in Bill and Teds Bogus Journey
Hey babe, love your reaction.x
"Those Damned Blue Collar Tweekers" live from Woodstock it will change your life. The beat is so sick the crowd goes nuts!
Best reaction
The drummer for primus utilizes high hats better than any other drummer out there
Omg you get Primus on first listen you are fire you're amazing
As someone who grew up in the Bay Area where their from, I've been to more Primus shows than I can count in the 90's. No matter how many times I've been, they were amazing each and every time. Couple of song suggestions: Too Many Puppies, Bob, My Name is Mud, and definitely DMV!
during the song his bass was begging for mercy.....LOL......less rips that thing to pieces,he is sooo good.
I recommended this video to you a few months ago, I’m so glad you finally checked it out! I knew you would like it! Check out “Jerry Was A Race Car Driver” and “Winona’s Big Brown Beaver.” The bassist Les Claypool had auditioned for Metallica. They turned him down because they felt he was too talented for them.
Or too weird. Same thing. Les with Metallica would be like adding bacon to a strawberry Sunday. Both good, don't fit together.
Say baby, do you wanna lay down with me?
Say baby, do you wanna lay down by my side?
Say baby, do you wanna lay down by me?
Say baby?
Say baby?
Finally! PRIMUS!!!
Yess more primus
Primus: to defy the laws of tradition.... That song effin slams
Best reaction vid ever
This was SO FUN TO WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello, new to your channel. Primus is def one of my fav bands...the lead singer/bassist(Les Claypool) is one of the most unique and funkiest bass players ever. Most people listen to Primus for the music and not the lyrics. Glad you enjoyed it!!
Great reaction and channel. Most you tubers are deluded, especially musically. But you are so talented and I wish u all the luck in the world. Keep going cus you are so good
I love that you finally reached Primus. My fav band ever. This version of the song is good but for now you are just in the presence of the tip of an unsurmountable iceberg of amazing and weird and dark and funky and absolutely unique proportions. Primus is the most unique band there is. I'd recommend something for you to react to but I just wanna witness where this river of mud takes you. Peace!
Respect the rabbit hole wink
Their song "Shake Hands With Beef" is crazy funky!
Probably the sickest reaction i have ever saw👌👌
"To Defy the Laws of Tradition" is fucking DOPE
You get it.
He puts on a good show
The last concert I saw was headlined by Primus. yeah, it was fire...
PRIMUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.🐈🎸🔊
Watching your face light up to Tommy the cat was priceless, and of course you're beautiful as always
Great reaction. That's what everyone's face looks like (or should) first time experiencing them.
I saw Primus and Fishbone live at the Hollywood Palladium. Freak. Out.
Welcome to the Primus rabbit hole!!!!
409 is back!!!!
It never left
Norman Tompkins #Scribe409 lol
They are very funky👍
I think you'd LOVE "Shake Hands With Beef" by them.
Listening to PRIMUS for the first time is an epiphany, there's just nothing like it, watch the official video of "LAQUERHEAD" then watch the live version, tight doesn't describe it....
prob the best bassist in the world!
Never seen Primus, but les Claypool is amazing live.
i subscribed. since you reviewed PRIMUS. brah. cool son! #bassGeeTar
You do need more of them. More please. More Claypool
This video has a kind of funky steam punk feel to it.
This is my first time watching one of your videos. If you like Les Claypool and Primus, you will LOVE Audio Slave, and Rage Against The Machine!!!
Les Claypool is Mad Scientist of Bass
She was solid GONE!
After she signed of she ran outside and did 2x marathons before she could sit still!
This was a very "live" version.Check out the studio version sometime if you want a frame of reference, cuz the guitar & bass solos are a little different & the way he raps the intro is alot more coherent so you can make out the storyline.
Plus you get the great Tom Waits voicing Tommy the Cat!
Can you imagine if zappa and primus play together!
PRAXIS
Go to a primus concert and you will be enlightened
Thats some nasty funk
Primus played with Tool during their 2015 tour. Saw them live at Monster Mash, Halloween. Best. Concert. Ever.
You should check out Jerry Was A Racecar Driver and Wynona's Big Brown Beaver next.

Please react to “A Certain Shade of Green” by Incubus from Red Rocks 2004. Amazing band and supremely underrated. And there would be no Incubus without Primus. They influenced a lot of their early stuff. And not many channels react to Incubus! PLEASE! ❤️🙏🏻
Back from when they were good. Everything after the Science album was disappointing. Also, there would be no Incubus without Faith No More.
@@jpace4608 i love science. make yourself was amazing. theyre still good. ive seen them live a bunch and they still kill it. i saw them in december and the best show ive ever been to.
youre correct about faith no more. big influence
@@johncollins8954 Another band influenced by Faith No More is Twelve Foot Ninja. If you haven't already, check out TFN. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Hey great reaction! Check out Primus-pudding time!
Les Claypool auditioned for Metallica in the 80s. He lost to James Newsted. Imagine if Metallica went the funky metal route. Wasn't their vision for the band at the time but both Les and Metallica made their mark on music. It brings me back to my 20s seeing someone hear them for the first time and loving it how I did.
I remember first learning about this back around 1991 when mtv had the first documentary on Metallica, and James was talking about the bassists auditioning and he said a guy playing funk and vocally imitated a slap and pop bass sound, but no mention of who it was, Primus was at the time I think just starting to really get noticed with Jerry was a race car driver, so I had no idea it was Les from Primus until some years after that came out, where on another documentary he's featured and James said whoa you're too good, you have your own thing going on.
