I agree rape is a form of murder , I was raped twice when I was young close to 60 years ago. I was completely dehumanized by my predators. I had no voice. Thankyou for speaking for so many of us who nobody would hear or see
❤️
❤️
I hope you got justices
Your kidding Rose is a hypocrite and not someone to look up to about validation for your issues....
"I think we already are brave but were told that we're not and believe it."
Her answers are so articulate, I never knew her to be more brilliant than they show her to be.
I absolutely love her. She’s so raw and she is whistleblowing on Hollywood. I love her rawness.
She seems so at peace here, for a while she was angry and grieving and rightly so. But here, she seems so at peace. I'm happy for her.
Finally a picture of a magazine cover and not covering one eye, making a triangle, devils horns or sticking out her tounge !!
Keepin it classy !
"Sexual assault is a form of murder" so true.
Funny, it's not called "sexual murder" ....
Sexual assault is a firm of murder?? This statement is so disgusting. How do relatives and family members of victims of murder feel when they hear this
Nope...
Pretty much ...murdering the soul/mentally and physically. The person you were is dead n most likely u'll nvr be the same.
Gerry Monahan in my experience, people who lived through horrible circumstances, tend to be too mature and wise to nitpick other people's expressions of their own pain. As someone who was sexually assaulted as a young teenager, I can agree, it did kill a piece of me that I never got back. And I'm convinced, people who lost someone through murder, don't feel the need to shame me for this, nor do they feel like they need to measure their pain against others. That's usually something immature people do, who don't actually know real pain...
Thank you to her for stating out loud that sexual crimes are akin to murder!!! IT IS!!!! She is absolutely correct!!!! It violates, humiliates and de-bases the individual for the rest of their lives. It literally completely changes how they view themselves and their personal value. Then it is a life-long fight to try to rise above it and not continue to let it define your choices. That takes so much time and energy to do there is not a lot left to spend anywhere else. So what quality of life is left?!
I just adore her. Anyone who has anything bad to say about this interview needs to get their head checked. She is BANG ON with everything she says.
🤢🤮
I guess she did not have time to change after her Tae Kwan Do class.
amethyst guy Thanks hun
Jamal Andreas you like poop? Weird.
I was a sexually abused child and I don't like proffesional victim hood, why does my head need checking?
I remember after I was raped by my ex, I had my hair cut off by my hairstylist. My ex was abusive and loved my long hair and I felt dead inside after what he did. I'm so glad I got away from him, I was brainwashed by him and thats what Narcissists do. I'm so glad I got away from him, being with him so exhausting. Hearing Rose speak out encourages me to be brave and move forward with my life!! ❤
Ive always liked her. I know really admire and respect her. I remember her mostly from her MTV award appearance in 98. I knew she was trying to say something.
I always, always wondered where she went in those years between them and Charmed.
Everything she said in this interview is absolutely true.
Go Rose.
Can you tell me the story
Why she cut her hair
I am glad she composed herself lately and showed such wisdom in this interview. In her previous appearances in tv shows she had episodes of outbursts and hostility if asked ''the wrong question''. But this was a sensible interview. And I agree with her.
i’m back to loving her - she’s strong but soft at once. not just angry. also compassionate. 🙏🏿🙌🏾👊🏿
She’s so smart and beautiful. Thank you for speaking out Rose. But please don’t forget about forgiveness. That will set you free.
Sexual harassment starts in a female's life as soon as you get boobs if not before. And you're repeatedly told that it's normal and you just have to put up with it- and that it's a matter of primary importance that you avoid making the man uncomfortable, no matter how uncomfortable you are. It's time to have this conversation. It's time for the self-destructive complicity to stop, and time for men to step outside their comfortable bubble and actively listen to women. Some people may choose not to listen, but the conversation will not stop just because you tune it out. You will be left behind as the world moves forward, and only you will to be blame for your ensuing disaffection. That was a choice.
Initially, I had misgivings about her. However, as time goes on, I value her perspective and grace. She has taken on an emotionally-charged topic, but she's managing to keep her cool and is increasing in eloquence. More will listen to her, as she maintains her composure, in tandem with her strong passion.
it's not about not being angry it's about when she has full on melt downs and leaves the room because people ask questions she doesn't like....that is what people are talking about
shahani braga not surpisingly the only one not understanding things here is you. so once again for the exceedingly slow, it isn't about her getting upset its' about her melting down when faced with any kind of criticism....and then bragging about how strong she is. strong people don't run from questions they don't like etc.
btw it wasn't rape it was sexual assault, feminism changed the definition to requiring penetration ergo licking the vagina is not rape.
listen stupid, I know you have this "women can never be wrong so just hide from the truth" nonsense going but the truth is you only have a strawman argument. I'm not saying the crying is a problem but if you are breaking down EVERY TIME someone asks you any kind of difficult question you are broken.....get over it her vagina doesn't make her right.
Women love a strong man until they meet one.
you don't understand what a strawman argument is, you don't understand what arguments have been made against Rose all you understand is she has a vagina so she must (in your confused mind) be right in everything she does...next youll say Argento is in the clear and a victim to....begone fool
We need more people like her, women and men.
I appreciate that she distanced herself from Argento but I wish she would be more balanced with referring to some people as alleged victims and not others. I'm also glad she was quite clear that a female agent was the one that told her she had to be 'sexy' to get cast in movies. a lot of people skip over the female pimps that help these Hollywood types lure young girls to secluded places. obviously the person who actually commits the crime is worse but the enabler is worthy of some scorn as well
Most modelling and acting requires one to be "sexy" or exude attractiveness. It is the standard of the business and everyone knows about the dark side that is quite prevalent in those industries, even if one is going to involve their children in participating. So much so that many people and parents would never even consider doing it because the overt risk is far too high. It is what these businesses sell.
Non
More super high actresses?
God Forbid more of her
"If your in a structure that your supporting that is not benefiting you. Your probably in a cult."
Let that sink in people!
Thank you Rose.🙏❤
The real Rose is finally showing again💪. I was worried she was losing herself, her best feature has always been her calm but confident nature without the hateful outbursts.
Em Dee -There are people who experience trauma and get past it stronger and without losing themselves. I’m not interested in common human emotion, my respect lies with those who are always in control, who use that fury in a productive way while preserving their personal nature. Kindhearted “people” are many times broken in this world and they become hateful, frustrated and angry; they lose the very thing that makes them special. The way Rose presented herself in this interview is how she should have done it throughout the metoo movement; I’m confident she’d have had even more people on her side without the moments that made her look insane and lost in her anger.
@Em Dee so well said
yes when she flips out, it can be difficult to get behind her
She needs to stfu and go back to making more charmed episodes.
Ah, yes her magnum opus and great contribution to the world of cinema.
You have a perfect shaped head for buzzed hair. Looks great.
Rose McGowan in my opinion is this eras Joan Of Arc, Cleopatra. She is the epitome of what it means to be a strong, free, indepentent woman, not bound by societies rules, or following into suite of how a man thinks the world should revolve... She's a free spirit guided by herself...✌✌✌💯💯👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Shi': The Homeless Dreamer no she’s just a hypocrite trying to sell books
I find my center and true self by not waxing sycophantic with inflated grandiosity over celebrity figures and their many causes paraded about in the media. This is one of the greatest mental sicknesses of our modern times.
She seems very sensible
Lol
inquisitor at least she’s not going around spreading negative words, she’s sending a great message and I really wish there were more men and women like her in the world...
I am compelled to buy her book now. She has been through a lot. The #MeToo movement is NOT about male bashing, etc. She is brave, Strong, eloquent in her stance, and needed at this time.
What Are you smoking? The me too movement is all about removing men from power with nothing more than a mere allegation. It may have started out as a way to address legitimate cases of rape and assault. I have been the victim of a false allegation at my job for making comments to a female coworker. They automatically believed her without even investigating the facts. I was suspended without pay. Only when I lawyered up did they do any investigating. Turns out she admitted to making it up and that she never met me before.I knew it was all bullshit because we don't work on the same shift and they show up after our shift is done. She said she saw a name and went with it. This is by her own admission. I was also on vacation during the time she said this happened so I wasn't even in the building. The company didn't even allow me to give my side of the story until I got lawyers involved and suddenly they want to know what happened. I never got an apology from the company or the female who lied about me. The only thing I got was back pay for being off and lawyer fees. So as a victim of a false allegation please don't tell me that me too isn't about male bashing
Look up metoo and find out for yourself what's really going on with metoo. It's more than just male bashing. It is also destroying men's careers so that women can take their careers without earning it, without working their way to the top. I've also been falsely accused by someone who worked in a different department than I did. I did know her but never hardly talked to her. She filed a false sexual harassment complaint against me. Despite the fact that they talked to me a couple of times about it, it still took a week and a half for me to get details about the complaint. She had claimed that I had been telling her about my sex life one night. I have an amazing fact tho, it will blow your mind: I would first have to have a sex life in order to tell anyone about my sex life. Luckily, all I got was a strict talking too more than likely because they knew she was lying because she filed the complaint the same day that my employee driving suspension was done, a 2 month suspension that I had because of that same woman filing a different false complaint, and I was just about to get my driving privileges reinstated. Because of her, I didn't get reinstated for another week tho and almost didn't at all according to the general manager. #wronglyaccussed
@@johnreed9050 I'm sorry to hear about what happened to you dude. According to rose, Alyssa and the rest of metoo: false allegations are extremely rare, but you and I know that's not true. Anyway, I was kinda thinking, in order to show how not rare it is, starting a hashtag for those who have been wrongly accused so I thought I'd mention it to you. When you tell your story of being wrongly accused, maybe use the #wronglyaccussed, whether on FB, Twitter, MySpace, CZcams and maybe even spread the word if you know others who have also been wrongly accused.
@@theonlyairconditioner
The fucked up thing is they immediately suspended me before even investigating the facts. If they would have just investigated in the most basic way they would have saved themselves time and embarrassment. As always the female who lied never got any kind of punishment from the company.
@@johnreed9050 that is fucked up. That also strikes the point home that the metoo movement and "rape culture" is wrong. Having money and a thriving career doesn't make someone "privelidged". However, being woman does because they can say what they want and no one questions it and there's no punishment for their life-destroying lies. You should have had your attorney go after her as well. After all, false allegations of sexual assault/harassment are actually sexual harassment as well, though I don't think many people think about that. But how many false accusations would be made if the ones who made false accusations were also charged with sexual harassment and treated like a sexual deviant like metoo is trying to do to every successful man they can? I'm not saying powerful because they aren't. They are successful, not powerful, men, who metoo is trying to destroy in order to create the illusion of a rape culture. I am glad that you at least got your job back with back pay.
Wow. A legend. And absolute QUEEN.
Not find of the interviewer. Though, Rose handled this interview with amazing composure.
Now I get what Brittney was saying she was fed up with sleeping with the cult leaders
and being turned into one dimensional only sexualized porny cartoon caricature of a less than human fancy slave
and i also believe she was angry over some family related things perhaps; possibly her younger sister was similarly sexually targeted by criminal predators as a minor who also worked at/for pedo-central corps; such as disney and or nickelodian.... tbh i can't recall if she worked with one or the other or both, nor if disney n nickelodian r owned by same criminal creepazoidssssss or what..?? i once knew but would have to re-research again to b sure cuz don't recall now.... ****
I admire a brave person who tells their truth to helps others.
Best interview with her I’ve seen, what she says at the end is so true 🧡
if you have been ALL SURVIVORS of sexual abuse are brave, to have the courage to speak up should be applauded, where ever or whoever you are. If you happen to be famous, that does NOT make it less of a crime. Rape IS Rape! If you have been violated, speak up, it is NEVER Your fault, get the scumbag arrested and sent to prison.
Rose is fabulous.Great to see her here.
My final thought at the end... "...that was Beautiful." What a striking and insightful conversation. Thank you Rose.
So strong, so beautiful and well spoken.
Loved the book, and have a great deal of respect for her.
Dawn Adriana did she mention her relationship with Marilyn Manson?
Great interview
Wow, I'm happy more women are coming forward and speaking up about workplace harassments, and other misconducts. I live and work in Canada. I went through 1 year of Sexual harassments, bullying, harassments, retaliation and discrimination with my previous employer. I file complains with HR and they said they would investigate it, but nothing became of it. This was my full-time job and my only means of income, and I was injured on the job, so I was on W.S.I.B (workplace safety and insurance board) who was taking care of my Physio Therapy sessions....etc and on top of that I was dismiss from my job, because I couldn't work the way I use to anymore, so I was useless. Some may say, why didn't you get a Lawyer and fight your employer, it's easier said than done. Lawyers are hours in Canada, so I would have to pay $300+ for consultation + $300+ hours. In USA Lawyers are flexible and they work on contingencies, hours.....etc It's tough being a victim and it's tough going up against cooperations.
Now that is what I am talking about. (On the very last awesome thing at the end of the interview that Rose McGowan said.)Absolutely incredible and so true.
What a strong, intelligent survivor.
She escaped a cult and than later on in life, Hollyweird. A true modern day hero 🦸♀️💕
its sad to read the commentshere made by men, you really dont seem to get it at all. Shes not milking anything, feminism is not too much, and so one. The interviewer didnt even understand the comment she made "ppl are dying", he doesnt get that this thing kills a person on the inside, and they can be lost forever in a spiral of pain and bad choices after that, or take there lives because its too much and there is no one to talk to. Me too has been vital to start a conversation and healing. To ppl that dont get that, i have no Words, you obviusly havent been there and dont know what its like.
♥️ thank you
Rose I applauded you for your courage a fan always,
I start to admire her and then I remember how she promotes Hilary Clinton it boggles my mind. It's hard to get past that one thing.
Absolutely...Hillary is a murderer and a dark, nasty witch!
That's how I felt about Roseanne when she said she supported Donald Trump...
that's a gender based decision I mean how many rapes has Hillary covered up right lol nothing to do with morals or viewpoints just the vagina
jaymeseo6 that is because you are brainwashed. you probably think that a ban keeping Iraqi Christians out of the country but letting Malaysian Muslims in counts as a Muslim ban so....
She also never calls out Manson who constantly talks about child sacrifice and helped get a murderer out of jail. She's in on the plot behind the scenes.
Exceptional woman. Always been a big fan. Can one person change the world? Proof right here.
On a totally different note can you post or link the interview with James Morrison the british singer songwriter and musician
I love her so much she makes me cry everytime she speaks, shes a wonderful inspiration.
EL OH EL
Good for you, Rose! You saw through this interviewer steering the narrative into his own twisted story. I've never seen this man before, but my spidey sense tells me he is on the side of the perpetrator. . He has a big Media job, after all...
Such an amazing woman!
Amazing how Rose had no issues while receiving a paycheck from charmed, but after she was out of work, she started this crap
Rose Mcgowan, she's like a flower. I guarantee, she's got lots of power! She know's what's right, and she know's what's wrong. I have to say, that woman's belief is strong.
What an amazing woman. Great interview!
may the Lord Jesus Christ continue to guide you and shield you with his power almighty.
In this interview she talks much better than the video with rain Dove
Funnily enough I am embracing being real and authentic and I live in The UK, not being told what to do or how to be anymore from parents or a narcissistic boyfriend and I'm loving it. However, it's almost been like a dream like to move to America and get an acting job and become well known, I think it's most young girls dreams however a couple of months ago, I thought, I'm being real, I'm being authentic, yet I want to go to America and although my head was in the clouds about it but it would be, told how to be because like Rose said, you will get told how to be, what to do, how to have your hair dieting wise, etc and while initionaly they sound like good things it's going to keep you what they want you to be, so making movies, roles, books etc depends on them telling you what's what but like any other celebrity before they made it, they had to have gorgeous hair to get themselves noticed and then after all that and they become successful and they have their chopped off. I remember when Alyssa Milano did in in Charmed, and Kelly Cucco did it in Big Bang and the first time you see them for that first moment you almost gasp horrified, and men, men in my life have said that's put me off her, why the bloody hell would she want to do that? They don't like it. And I know it's down to the woman and what she wants who she is trying to be real etc but I know, personally, I've always dreamed of having long brunette hair in waves and curls and I'd love my hair like that, it would take some growing out and getting it styled etc and that to me, is looking amazing and when Kristen Stewart had it, when Nina had it on Vampire Diaries these were two very beautiful people with gorgeous hair, hair I'd love having and I know Nina hasn't gone bold just had a chop but sometimes I think to myself they couldn't have appreciated what they had. Somtimes I think it's good to be known as sexy, I have a husband yes, but if someone said she's his husband and she's smoking hot, now that's a compliment I'd love. I wouldn't like it if people said that she was overweight or not nice looking because I do believe that looks help you to achieve things. Would I sleep with someone to get a job? No!! But good looks tip the scales in your favour. I've found even in England, there is this hatred almost to women who are Obese and I know a few men when I was single that I had a better chance getting with them as apposed to these bigger women. I know it is Wrong, you shouldn't judge but when someone you like when you are single is giving you the come on as apposed to your friend (like Rachel and Monica in friends when Rachel, the slim and sexy one was put with Monica looking bigger) you get treated like you are more in a shot with things and as much as you wanna stick up for your friend dammit, it does feel good
BRAVE! Thanks you Rose!
go rose!!!! great interview!!!! ;) **
Power to Rose!! ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing !!
Such a brilliant and beautiful women! So inspirational!
This beyond amazing human is so my spirit animal! I hear Rose! We HEAR YOU!
I love Rose McGowan and everything she talks about. This is one well-educated lady who more easily put into words a lot of my own thoughts. Society is so messed up that it put terrible standards in my head when I was so young that I now suffer from severe depression and anxiety, and I'm constantly riddled with fear of judgement from other people in society. I really wish more people were like her in the world. She makes me really glad to know that I'm not alone and shows a great way to combat it all while maintaining your own mind, thoughts and integrity. She could start a whole movement to better society as a whole but I fear for her personal safety. Great people who truly try to make a difference always end up disappearing because of it. History has taught me that. Which is why I'm not as great as her and I'm choosing to not take any risks and stay in my depressed, anxiety-riddled corner.
Well said Rose.
She’s a true fighter
I love you Rose! You are such a.bad ass! I relate so so much to you. I loved your powerful book!!
Wow! I just found out that River Phoenix was brought into this cult also at the age of 3 & what happened to him in it... What a horrible place for a kid... No wonder they're all so screwed up... Joaquin Phoenix too... What F**king parent would do that to a kid? I did not realize this before... I guess I'm sorry for being so judgemental about Rose... Now it makes more sense... She makes sense... I totally get why she goes after pedaphiles the way she does... How sad... I am sorry the world did that to you, Rose..😢
such a good book
Yes! Love the GQ cover
Shes my hero. Indeed. Ty Rose. Ty.
I’m glad rose you give them fever girl let them have it Fiercely made to Rock rose you inspired me
She is so smart. Very good interview.
Awesome, powerful interview. Thank you, Rose!
@4:30. "what are they gonna do?, put you in time-out celebrity jail?" yes they do and did to her; didn't work. brave.
Thankyou I'm in England Liverpool, They have to confess What about Rule of Law? I have been through nightmares and still feel silenced its murder of vulnerable woman but they would literally murder and probably do if they think they get away with it. Then unreliable witnesses, woman become addictive to many things after assault and intimidation
Cutting off your hair IS very freeing
I think her and Angelina as a couple could change the world.
She really is brave.
I agree with what she is saying, but something is very off and I can't quite put my finger on it.
The haughty air I get from her, sometimes can be a defence against the painful subject matter, and possibly old residue of toxic shame that really belongs to her abusers. That defence can make her look as if a tad arrogant. So what she can cope with this time in her life as she needs, for sees fit. Maybe she doesn't recognise that but I see that it can be a little jarring to others. Also, everyone as she says is uncomfortable with this conversation at a deep level, for reasons of guilt from deviants to toxic shame, pain and trauma from the survivor's. She's right it's only by shinning a light on the darkness that humans can begin to clean up. 10% better she says, let's aim higher. But a good start indeed.
I love her
I follow Tose on twitter. Some of what she says I agree and a lot I don't but in this interview something really hit me. "Sexual assault is a form of murder". I was raped and the person I was before that died in that situation. I have moved on and have a great life but I want the guy I was back but he's dead.
Stop it. We all have hardships. You aren’t a good actress. Essentially if you didn’t do gross things you’d just be like everyone else. Poor you. We all make decisions based on morals. It’s tough but it’s life
TELL EM FROSK !!!
is this a new show?
he took over from matthew wright
"There's a power to a woman no longer wanting hair."
???? I guess if you say so?
That's one book that will be worth your hard earned money.
Intrinsically Me I just listened to it for free on CZcams
She's great.
I'm not sure what's great about her. You know she took hush money right? Then when it would boost her failed career she came out with the allegations.
pepper greenlaw - Why are you attacking me and trying to control what I say or what I choose to watch? I watch the Jeremy Vine show, and comment on CZcams when I feel like it. Why are you reading comments and bothering to reply? Just to leave attacking comments? Sad.
I've worked in the entertainment industry for 10 years, and I actually quit 2 years ago, because I didn't feel the work was compatible with my morals and who I wanted to be. NEWSFLASH - the entertainment business is a swamp, like no body knows this, it always has been and always will be. It trades on ambitious teenagers who are willing to do ANYTHING for fame and fortune. It sells sex. Both male and female, it doesn't discriminate. I don't get how being stupid and naive enough to walk right into the teeth of the machine, get chewed up and spat out, then complaining about it many years later makes you great. I find more greatness in a person simply looking at the Hollywood machine and saying 'that's not for me'.
Great what ? shes one of probably hundreds of actresses who reluctantly but willingly did sexual stuff to further their career , then when their career stagnates or when they are no longer in the limelight they use the most abused and easiest tool in a womans arsenal, sexual assault or rape accusations.
Do you know why no abuse allegations ever come out about Joe the garbage collector ? because Joe aint famous and Joes got no money.
She's not even good at being a whore, not great.
Damn girl you would be great. Beautiful, sexy and definitely on the menu.
Very smart lady. Wish her well. Watch out FOR shady folks, they are everywhere pretending to YOUR friends and lying at every turn.
who is she?
According to all the references, she is one of them
True
Luv her 🌹
She says (in reference to Asia Argento) that she doesn't understand those attracted to the young... yet HER girlfriend (Rose Dove) is 28 and she's 45!
To be fair though, her girlfriend is still an adult though. I just didn't know Rose was suddenly gay or bi.
28 is legal to have sex with, fairly obvious difference
She is talking about Children. 28 is not young or a child!!
I am going to try and define cult, as an organisation which uses power or manipulation to gain something from their followers themselves: be it money, sex, or attention (social status). They ostracise you if you don't follow its teachings or its leaders. She was in a cult, but she is also correct is showcasing that the normal world has cult like attributes, as do many families. Perhaps the difference is that in the normal world, you can swim about a bit and find a tribe which does not exploit you. In the real world, you a free to a more or less extent to reject the psychopathic leaders (Harvey Weinstein), however of course you have to make the sacrifice to your ambitions and goals. The price of living free, is the price of allowing others to be free, in giving up your , exploation nd giving up the explotation of others. You sacrifice your social status and materality. Most are not ready to do that.
I wish she would name names of those who she told and they did nothing
Is this Eminem with red lips?
She is having a protracted breakdown.
Probably long over due given working in toxic Hollywood for so long. Who wouldn't.
No, she putting her great self back together. It's no simple task to do what she's doing. Let the momentum gather!
Met her the other day , such a lovely woman standing up for the rights of others in an industry they have experienced. ❤️❤️
So true
No one cares if she has hair or not... The real issue is her face...what on earth happened to her face??!! Surgery ruined it...
Hollywood is vicious.
wow
She looks beautiful. You can see her light coming back. I'm so happy for her.
Like her from decades of abuse know justice would have helped when does not happen have to live for yourself one of my evil abusers 95 and healthy go figure miss McGowan and Sinead O'Connor I have learnt a lot from inregards to inner strength thankyou
Please somebody offer her a role...
The battle us not yours but Gods-❤❤ unfortunately there is evil in this world but there is also a God who loves you unconditionally.
