I remember in 1983 when the Bear retired and then several days later coming home from school and him passing. I've lived through two of the greatest times in college football. Roll Tide 🏈❤️
I had the pleasure of hearing the Bear speak, and even got to shake his hand.

As a current Student at UA the news left everyone here utterly shocked . I’m glad for the years I had with Saban as coach but damn it’s unfortunate I won’t get to graduate with him and see another Saban victory . Everyone looks up to him almost like a father and his legacy is unmatched so there’s an empty void . Good luck to whoever gets to fill his gigantic shoes .
How so? He bought a mansion in south FL last year and he is 72. You don't buy a mansion in s FL to continue coaching Alabama for several more years with 24/7/365 recruiting

I’m a lifelong Bama fan, and I’m definitely bummed to lose the Goat as our head coach, but nobody deserves to enjoy their retirement more than Coach Saban. I hope that he will continue to help coach whoever comes after him to continue his legacy. Not just to win championships (although I love that part), but to better the lives of those they touch. Coach Saban always had an “entire lifetime” approach to coaching that made players into successful men. I want that to continue to be his legacy and our reality in Alabama. Roll Tide forever Coach Saban and may God bless you in your future endeavors.

As an LSU fan I was bitter for a long time probably like most tiger fans but man I gotta give the respect and credit where it's due coach saban you were the best to do it hands down and i have to thank ya cuz you did revitalize lsu and made us contenders even after you were gone best wishes in retirement you deserve it
as an Alabama fan, it was like a punch to the face when I read the news. I was so upset and will be about it for awhile but he’s 72 and he’s going to live his last days down there in that new $17M mansion in Florida! So happy yet so sad. This made me laugh lol. I was an absolute wreck, BUT, after seeing Rece from ESPN interview Saban about all of this, I feel better. The Sabans are going to continue living in Tuscaloosa and guess who has a new office at the stadium because he’s still going to be very present in the football program, just not head coach 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Saban is correct!

Man I have to be honest I’ve been mad and heartbroken since Wednesday when I found out! I appreciate this video and I do appreciate the GOAT nick saban. We were very fortunate to have him as a great coach and a powerful role in a lot of young men’s life. As a Auburn fan I'm so confused in my feelings. On the one hand my blood tells me to scream hallelujah, but my soul doesn't feel that way. I've never hated Sabin, he's arguably the best coach on the field, but I think it's his off the field work that makes him the greatest of all time. He's very generous and respectful to people. I've never heard of scandal like Harbaugh has had at Michigan. He played within the rules or was damn good at hiding. I'm going to miss saying "Nicky's mad" when I see him rage. If it's any consolation we just lost one of the greats. Guess I can't say "Let's take the Caddie to the Natty," for awhile at least. Hope y'all find a good replacement, word of advice don't ask a man from potato land to be your head coach.

My dad has seen countless legends walk away from the game they played and I’ve seen a couple like Tom Brady but this is the first “personal” one. Nothing but respect and appreciation for what Saban has done, he is the greatest to ever do it. Roll Tide till the day I die!

Had the pleasure of Meeting Coach Stallings while I was on campus and I remember the day Bear retired. Auburn fan here, before y'all go crazy on me, I come in peace!! I mean this genuinely, there will NEVER be another Nick Saban. Never. He in his own right goes down in history by the legendary Bear Bryant. I am however proud to say I lived through the Nick Saban Era. He did give us a lot of heck, but, we were able to return the favor every now and again 😉But he has built an incredible resume that cannot be matched! The Iron Bowl will definitely not feel the same anymore!! Heck, college football isn't gonna feel the same! I'm glad he gets to enjoy retirement! (Mainly because it gives us all a break! 🤣) But all rivalry jokes aside, I truly wish him the best! He is, in fact, the goat and there won't be another like him! Thank you for the memories Coach! As a UF fan, I have to respect Saban. It shouldn't even be a debate that he's the greatest coach of all-time. Who else has won national championships at multiple schools, for a total of 7, in two eras (BCS and CFP)? Who came into the program and had to rebuild it after many bad years? AND did all these things in what is considered by many the strongest conference?
