Haven't rode much in years. I turn 70 in a few months. Think I'll buy one of the enfield's. I think I still got it.🤔😅😅👍
im in my mid 50s, hope to be riding for decades more myself!
I'm 71 so you still got it.
Great experience is waiting for you. Just do it. 👍
Go 4 it dude!
Go get it James!
I just got back into riding last year. Got a street bike and waiting on a KLX230 to be mine in April. I went and sat on a new Himalayan last week. VERY nice, and that ultra low center of gravity makes it feel lighter than a CRF250L.
Hello there I am Ujjwal pradhan from Sikkim a small Himalayan state in the North Easte India and I am a royal Enfield Himalayan rider since 2017 and have ridden about 17000 km on it in the Himalayan ranges across Nepal ,Bhutan and India and it is amazing bike it has taken me to breath taking places with a view and never let me down ,much love for the Royal Enfield Himalayan all around the world ❤️ #royalenfield #himalayan
After watching the whole video, I must say that for someone with only 3k subs, this video, editing and content wise was done very well. Good stuff, and a deeper look at the Himalayan than I’ve seen before.
I bought a new Himalayan about 10 months ago and I love it! I think I probably got the second one ever sold in Utah. I live in Northern Utah with about a thousand miles of desert two track roads and single track trails out my back door and I'm only about 20 miles from high mountain country. I go trail riding in the low desert hills or I grab my pack fly rod and take it up in the mountains to remote fly fishing spots whenever I can. I am fine with the power, torque and speed. I'm over 60 and don't really enjoy going freeway speeds on a bike nearly as much as I used to. I'm also fairly tall- over six feet and weigh about 285. So far it has carried me up and over any hill or mountain- dirt or paved that I've attempted. It's a fun bike!
Hope you keep enjoying those utah roads. Good times
"It's finally finished, but I got a few more things I wanna do to it". Classic :)
I bought a 2019 Himalayan for my first bike. I have since fallen in love with riding motorcycles, especially out in the hills! Thanks for all the info on accessories, you shared lots of things that a newbie like me would have never have thought of like the mudgaurd rising kit.
glad to be of assistance.
I am 79 and enjoy riding my ‘98 Kawasaki 800. Good road bike. Happy riding!
I like the sentence “bike is ready for the world “
Me too. Now all I need is time.
@@UncleVoodoo not sure if you watched @itchy boots but well worth catching her vids about going round the world on a Himmie, especially about the spare parts she took and the awful fuel the Himmie can run on!
I'd be moving "the break light" further back, inline with the turn signals so it is not covered by the luggage strapped to the rear rack, truck drivers sit pretty high up and wont see the break light activate.
There are so many expensive adventure bikes that never stray from the asphalt. It's good to see someone keeping it real. Great video. Great bike!
I have similar accessories on my own Himalayan. The Barkbusters are well worth the money - they keep my hands dry and warm even in winter.
I also have Givi 3-point engine bars.
I fitted a magnetic sump plug. Made by Dimple in USA. I have been using their products on all my bikes for many years. It's amazing how much they trap that the oil filter would miss.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your Himalayan videos! I am envious of your access to such great roads, trails, and terrain. It is illegal to ride off-road anywhere here in NJ except for Wharton State Forest where the trails are all sand, almost impassable because of the very sugar-fine consistency of the sand. I admire your outlook and attitude - keep those great videos coming!
id probably go crazy if I couldn't ride off road. I feel your pain.
This is the 2nd Himalayan video of yours I’ve watched tonight. They’ve been informative, creative, and funny. Thanks!
18 year old here looking to get into motorcycling and looking at the Himalayan for my first bike, and sir I must say I love your videos. I think you have a great camera personality (whatever that means) and I absolutely love your pop culture references. The included flux capacitor really sold me on this bike!
Alright, now you are geared up for the Trans America Trail. Now get after it🇺🇸
trust me, I can't wait!
I was listening to thks video casually in the background while working, just digging your commentary on the bike, and the ending was so unexpected I absolutely lost it. Legend 🙌
This is killer set up ! Not only is it practical but it looks great too .
Hitchcocks are the best for parts for any Enfield, I do a lot of touring on one of these first thing I did was to remove the crazy top front mudguard then a tool roll can be fitted. Best of luck mate a great bike.
If someone is satisfied with a bike that is all that matters.
doesnt matter what your on as long as you are doing what you want
Some people have higher, and lower, standards.
Got to say I like the pocket clip mod the most. That's a unique fix for a common problem . cool build.
Loving the flux capacitor, need to get myself one of those Ha Ha!!, great set up you have now, ready to rock the world
I’m glad I stuck around to the end! That was great!
Great video, straight to the point with no waffle. I had to change the seat. It was dire.
You know, the Himalayan is a great bike. I love what you’ve done with yours.
Thanks for giving the prices, etc. There’s no use beating around the bush.
I just pre-ordered the Honda CRF300L Rally, but, I’ve always wanted a Himalayan as a second bike.
Happy Trails
Enfield are getting more popular now, likewise there is getting to be a cottage industry in accessories.
A nice bike, I like what you’ve done with it. Thanks for posting.
I like what you've done to your bike dude, I can tell that your serious about your motorcycling, nice one 👍.
Right on , great report !! Thanx !! the rear rack and brake master guard would be the FIRST upgrade s for me !!
Love the Back to the Future reference, 😆. Great video and value on the RE
Really useful video thanks, and the finishing sequence ......absolutely brilliant!
This is superb walk around and no display of wisdom. @Uncle Voodoo I am completely thrilled with this and very soon I will commence my journey. Please keep on posting your valuable videos.
That ending was absolutely awesome.👍
Seems that you should be prepared for adventure now. Have a save ride.
Greetings from Costa Rica, Uncle Voodoo! I enjoy not only your reviews but your cheeky sense of humor: the imported roads from Beirut and the Flux capacitator are just golden! I am planning on getting my Himalayan to tackel the rain forest trails of Costa Rica...send you some vids later! Pura Vida.
Thinking of getting one of these, this may have tipped me into buying one. What a surprisingly engaging video, loved it 👍
.... I bought one 😎
I followed your advice and ordered the phone mount at Hondos Garage and I'm absolutely happy with it. It's totally worth the money. In my footage I can see the windscreen shaking but the landscape is absolutely stable. Top.
That thing isn't cheap, but it does its job very well. glad it worked for you.
Aye... there great wee bikes... got the 1st one in Scotland 👍🏴🥃
Good luck.
Great video man. I actually have the same bike and a few of the same accessories...and love them all. You've given me some good ideas as well. Also thanks for the tip on the temperature sensor in the previous video. Cheers.
Great video, thanks for sharing. I WILL own a Himalayan one day
Great Mods and upgrades!!
Delivery of my REH still delayed . I ordered already the phone mount that you mounted.Mirrors will follow when my REH is in the house. Useful advice! Thanks for that and keep on broadcasting its always a joy watching your vids.
thanks, got a tough ride coming this weekend....stay tuned!
Very accurate video. Loved all the accessories which I think are must haves. keep making more RE videos. Thanks
good detailed video....clear and concise!
this is what I love..people obsessed with their bikes..
Thank you sir best video I have seen on the Himalayan. Lots of real world things most of us want or will do to a bike. Also great job with explaining costs and why. PS video was good enough to earn me as a sub!
Thank you for the Video. Clear cut explanations with the details of purchase and where to find them and why to install. 👍
Hahahaha! That ending was epic!
I watched every second of this vid and it was good start to finish!
The ending was awesome!
I love the bike for its unique style
Well done.....and entertaining to boot!!
Professional vedio content . Loved your customization specially the gallon jar
Excellent, really entertaining and informative. Just need the Tutoro auto chain oiler and you will have the complete bike ! Keep em coming.
nice selection been looking at a couple of these for mine. good roundup, thanks for providing links too.
Ahaha nice ending! Good sensible accessories. I will get some of these for Waynetta, my Royal Enfield Himalayan
Thanks for sharing 👍
Great Scott! That's one heavy review, doc!
There's that word again,. Why are things so heavy in the future is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull in the future? Why is everything so heavy?
Spectacular review of accessorizations. Loved the ending 👏😀
The Mandalorian this week was lit!!!
@@UncleVoodoo Yeah it was! I was in shock. And Boba sure showed up Mando. Mando was taking a dirt nap and Boba and his girlfriend took care of business. Loved it 😀
You sir are nuts! And I love it 😆 Good video thanks.
Great 💯🥇 Thanks so much Yo Share your great work My friend!! God Bless You
interesting to see what other people are doing with their himalayan. I went with a green chili soft panier rack. saved a decent chunk of money. but I live in a city, and don't ever leave luggage on my bike as it lives outside. Hitchcock's tends to get good reviews, nice to see their stuff out in the wild.
thanks for honest overview.
Just discovered this video. Great tips on these accessories.
Wow great video and great bike. I think every option you did makes a lot of sense. I’m thinking about buying one of these soon and building it pretty much just like you did.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video with fun ending.
Awesome and cool offroad bike.. Great, it's very affordable,..
Great video, well done!
Nice one! May your dream travels become true!
I haven't been on a motorcycle in 10 years getting back on one. Bought a 2021 Himalayan because I I in the country with country roads ,back country roads with patched potholes and unpatched potholes it will handle where I ride it well. Mine is a Rock Red without the tripper built in January 2021 I don't know if it has a flux capacitor, but I'm 65 years old and don't plan on riding at 88 mph to find out enjoy your videos very educational and entertaining I used to play with Jeeps when I was younger. Wasn't sure what motorcycle to get but I think I made a wise choice Popular in Northeast Ohio 3 other ones in my neighborhood.
A really nice setup you got.
Great ending Uncle V 🤣
I was hoping people would get a kick out of that. Now that the Himalayan is complete I can focus some attention on the Monkey.
Very well put together video and your bike looks really good. I would kit mine out the same more or less with the exception of hard panniers.
Thoroughly enjoyed your video and actually chuckled at the "dumb ass" comment as I was thinking the exact same thing! Will check in with you in the future!
You’re right about the screen. I just took mine off and my friend cut down his screen with a dremel. Generic hand guards for £25, small notch cut for cable but you don’t notice.
Excellent story - from my point of view you have to get the Royal- Enfield - Oscar 👍
Very Nice and thoughtful Modifications Great JOB done😎
Only one thing I'd add to this bike (I think it should be stock): kick start lever.
It looks great anyway!
Loving the new colors, red looks the best.
Can you put a kick start on the hima?
@@jameshowe5182 i dont think so but you can always push start a bike.
@@patrykrog8121 Really? - Felt close to impossible on a SR 500 and was challenging with an SR 250 on moist roads. But kickstarters got banned in the EU
@@jochenschrey2909 my bike still has kickstart and enduro bikes still have kickstart. Its sad there going away and its stupid they banned them. I only ever push started 50cc and 125 so it may be harder on 250cc. But just put it in second then you jump on the bike let off clutch and go.
Banned? Really?
I have a 125 that kickstarts easily.
Actually the electric starter is broken, so it's kick only.
Have kickstarted other bikes as well.
Yamaha Xt550, suzuki gs 850, honda cb500 for example.
The more fractioned the engine is, the easier they are to start. Anyway, not an issue.
My yamaha FZ750 is easy to push start.
Still, kicking is easier than pushing.
I'd rather have a kick lever in the middle of a trail with a low battery, than having to push a bike like this in the mud.
Every Himalayan could have that flux capacitor. It activates at 88 mph. Uncharted territory for this bike.
Fully loaded I doubt it will make 88
Excellent video thank you enjoyed it and now subscribed!
Thx Buddy ! useful review !
; )
Great video pal.
Nicely done!
Great informative video!!! Subscribed.
Liked the review, the bike is well kitted out
that was good, great ending
Great review.
😂😂, love the ending, I'm from the UK and I am seriously looking at this bike,
I love the way you equipped your bike. It has everything I envisioned doing if I bought a Himalayan. My only problem is I live so far from any dirt roads. I have to drive on Southern California freeways where everyone travels at 80+ so I need a faster bike and better braking to be safe. If I can ever talk my wife into getting out of this place, I definitely plan on moving closer to the dirt and the first thing I will do is sell my big bike for a Himalayan. Great job!
Hey, Im originally from Cali too (LA but most of my family is in Vista, Oceanside and Westmorland).
I wouldn't want to use the Himalayan on the highways out there either.
@@UncleVoodoo -I'm just a little north in San Clemente. I'm hoping my daughter and grand daughter move to another state because that is the only way I have a chance of getting my wife out of here.
You’ve done a great job with your bike young man,I enjoy your videos.😊
Good job with the bike and the video!!
Wow Uncle, you have splashed the cash..... I have added a good few things to my bike (2018) but one of the best modifications has been the fitting of taper head bearings,,, Another mod was fitting the YSS front and rear suspension units, which has improved the ride from OKish to buttersmooth... $7200 is alot of cash ,,I spent around $4600 for a new clutch and big bore kit plus suspension...so I,m happy,,, regards from across the pond
Very nice video, and that's a great looking bike.
Awsome ending 😍.
Himayalan lover 🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳
10:17 *The Tank Pads! I'll really need a pair of those. After my TKR operations. The latest in 2020. My leg muscles are still weak. And I like to squeeze the tank, while riding. Muscle exercise and it helps me to focus. Last night riding back home from the supermarket in heavy, driving tropical downpours. I was gripping my Royal Enfield Meteor 350 tank with my knees and it helped. I hope I can find the Tank Pads here in Bangkok. Best regards, Bangkok-Johnny*
Fun video! Great ending you certainly are creative
Dude, that ending is YT gold!
Thanks, it was supposed to lead into my other bike getting out of the shop but its still broken down :(
Looks good
Love your methodical review, RE should follow you and get some tips for their future models.
It's a lovely bike.
Great video! Subscribed!
Nice one! There’s one other important mod I heard about and I’ve just done to mine is a rear hugger to protect the rear shock absorber. Available in the UK from a couple of suppliers including Powerbronze.
Sir did u bought FI bike or ABS version?? Fi is a lot lot cheaper than abs so i was wandering what changes are in ABS model... There is difference of atleast 35000₹ in both
Answer to what "Love" looks like... Answer is Himalayan ❤️
