    The Came-TV Crystal-800 is a wireless video system that can take an HDMI input and send the video feed up to 800 meters. One stand out feature is that you can also use your iPhone, iPod Touch, or an iPad as a wireless video monitor. The receiver automatically creates a wifi network for your ios device to connect to. Launch the Crystal-800 iOS application and you can see the video feed.

    is there a way to improve the signal? directioneel antenna what would you choose ? I have 450 meters and still faltering image.

  • @beyondthepinesproductions

    Having issues with linking the systems. I’m stuck on the link screen. It worked once then froze, then it didn’t link at all after power cycling the monitor, TX & RX. Any thoughts?

    How is the latency?

    I just recently received this and was planning on using this for wireless video for ac to pull focus when on a gimbal, but the video quality and lag make this product unusable. Am I missing a setting or something? Very disappointed with this

      I'm having the seme issues. Crappy image, artifacts, lack of details. It looks like a SD footage upscalled to FHD. (even on level 4 wich should be the best). A totally unusefull piece of crap!

      Thank you both for your feedback. Sorry to hear you had to buy into the system to figure this out. Just bought a nucleus m and want to offer wireless video eventually, but now I know this is not my system unless I hear about some firmware updates.

  • @beyondthepinesproductions

    It worked with my gh5 for like 5 mins before it froze when I was shooting 400mbps ALL-I 10-Bit. I'm thinking it could be an issue with my Feelworld Monitor FW960, but still not sure. Any thoughts?

      Did u switch the output to 1080 on the hdmi? Recording internal 10 bit should not make a difference if the output is dropped down.

    • @beyondthepinesproductions

      MrCheesyCam it was on auto and then I tried 1080. I’ll try again and see what happens, thank you.

    There is literally nothing like this at this price point. The closest would be those ancient cam waves or arrows. But nothing has these features and power for under $1000

    On Came TVs website they do not list 30p as supported! They do have 25p. Maybe they just didn’t add by mistake? Have you tested 24p? You
    Mentioned it takes you to 30p, could it
    Be 25p instead?

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  Před 6 lety +1

      Yes maybe a mistake. It does support 30

      MrCheesyCam ahhh!! Awesome! Thank you! I got mine on the way! I appreciate your reviews! When will you post one for “real world” use?

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  Před 6 lety +1

      I’ve been using it already, and have also had a prototype for some time. I haven’t required the need to go 800 meters away, but for general wireless video purposes it’s been flawless so far.

    What about range of the wifi?

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  Před 6 lety

      It would be general wifi distance. My guess is 300ft or so?

    Thanks, do You know some alternative way or product to use with SDI input camera? Same price category.

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  Před 6 lety +1

      Blackmagic design sells a really tiny SDI to HDMI converter that has almost no latency. It can be powered via USB 5V also.

      So, do You think this setup Crystal-800 + BM HDMI to SDI would work fine with Ursa mini? Yea, I am worrying about latency the most.

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  Před 6 lety

      Will it work fine on Ursa Mini to monitor video wirelessly? Yes it would. I believe the latency will also be improved compared to what you see in my video. But if you are planning to use this to project a Live Feed during an event to an LCD Wall or Projector, I don't think it will be that fast. I may test this with my Ursa Mini soon. I have a converter I can use.

    • @darylwong4771
      @darylwong4771 Před 6 lety

      Hi, please do! The test with the URSA Mini I mean. That would be very much appreciated. I'm also interested in this product in terms of using it as an on-set production monitoring system for not only the director, but other crew departments (due to wifi streaming feed). The only thing holding me back is the "latency issue", but as you seem to bring up, the HD-SDI from URSA might lessen the effect. Please post your findings as soon as you are able. Thanks!

    • @RolandsBriedis
      @RolandsBriedis Před 6 lety

      Yes, I would really appreciate if You can test it with Ursa Mini. I am planning this setup for focus pulling. Thank You, man!

    It looks like there's no pass-through for HDMI on the transmitter, so if I shoot in 4K on Sony cameras and the screen blacks out then I'll be unable to view the image at the camera or use another external monitor. Does this sound accurate?

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  Před 6 lety

      Yes. That is one reason people like panasonic, the screen doesn’t go out with a monitor attached. So you could add a small monitor first, and then pass through from the monitor to the Crystal 800.

    • @TheInflicktedMedia
      @TheInflicktedMedia Před 6 lety

      Thank you so much for the review. Do you think the latency is still good enough for me to use it with a wireless follow focus, and pull focus on point on time?

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  Před 6 lety +1

      Expect about 300ms of latency. So not terrible for what you get. Run the stopwatch on your iphone to see how a 300 millisecond delay would effect your scene. If it is not super fast action I would say you’ll be fine.

    • @TheInflicktedMedia
