It's a cool idea, But anyone can put LED strips on anything. People would just buy their own and copy them.
So an led light glued to a skateboard.

Update: shortly after this was aired, producers reached back out to them to let them know someone left them a message. In fact, that someone loved the product and thought skateboarding was a great sport and was on the skateboarding team in high school. So much so, they were out.

I can see this expanding to customize cars/trucks/motorcycles etc. There are other options but if they can establish a good brand then they'll be just fine.
I agree but I think in most places it’s illegal to have underglow on a car, I could be wrong though

honestly my friends and i would tape glow sticks to our boards at least 10 years ago. good idea if they can execute. hopefully they were honest about lack of sales being a result of hand made manufacturing. fix the supply chain and make some good ads. for a good price they will sell both Dtc and at board shops and parks. might be tough completing with the $4 led strips tho
I started out using zip ties and finger lights for my sons stuff. We upgraded, but finger lights worked pretty good and looked cool at night.
I love when you can 100% tell neither of them can ride any type of board. Dude on the left literally pushes mongo.

I just got the lights from wal mart for my son, and he has gotten new or switched the lights to the new bike...... I got him lights for each of his tires, lights for the frame and "under body" lights, as well as lights for his helmet, along with the headlight and spotlight for about $100 total the whole time we were doing that. I also got him a set of glowing skateboard wheels for $30. All of this is cheaper than going through "actionglow" and getting 2 single strips of lights for your bike or a single strip for your skateboard.

Perhaps, but they may also decide to partner with skate and surf manufacturers to create a line of boards with LED recessed into the boards themselves. I'm not saying it's original, but they have a patent and would be wise to use it to leverage a partnership with a manufacturer before those very manufacturers decide rip them off.
I can go to any hardware store and buy a led strip.
This is a stupid investment.
