If you live in the western part of the USA... it is your duty to visit the Blue Ridge before you die. Just as we on the East side of the Mississippi were told to visit the Grand Canyon.
So true. I have lived 45 minutes away from the Linn Cove Viaduct my whole life. My mind was blown when we went to Pikes Peak and the man at the gate said, "The blue ridge mtns!?!, I can't wait to visit there one day!" It really put a few things in perspective for me.
