Hi Robbie! I have some dianthus hybrids and they are starting to turn brown on me. Not realizing until now, I have very likely been overwatering them. If I backoff and begin to water once a week, should they recover or is it too late for them?
Very useful. Thank you. Is it possible to take a cutting from a dianthus like this if it’s going brown? Mine was doing great up until a couple of weeks ago and now the middle is all brown and dying? Hoping I could still find a viable cutting to possibly save?
Jennifer Susan Parr summer is the best season, whilst they are still actively growing, it’s getting a bit late now as we come to the end of August but I’d give a few a go, they should strike. Thanks for watching Robbie 🌻
Oh dear stinky , that’s not good , no gritty drainage with your compost , then you rammed your compost right down hard . To get rid of the air , no no no , cutting roots need good drainage with moisture ( that drains ) and oxygen. To grow and thrive , no wonder you grabbed some more dry soil to go in the top after you watered , you had rammed it down that hard it created a Bog .
Dianthus has become one of my favorite flowers, so thank you so much for these videos!!
You should have way more views?!! You're my favorite Gardener!!
Thanks Lisa, I'm flattered 🌻I still can't believe anyone watches at all!!! oh and Dianthus would do well in your climate, good evening scent in summer
Love love love this!! Thank you so much!!
