  • Sri Ritesh & Rajnish Mishra - hailing from an illustrious musical family of Benares, Northern India. (rajansajan.com/generation.html)
Under the tutelage from early childhood of father & uncle, Pandit's Rajan and Sajan Mishra ji, Ritesh and Rajnish have developed into world class performers in their own right.
Here they are accompanied by the legendary tabla artist, Pandit Kumar Bose ji of the Benares Gharana (School) of Tabla. Additionally, we have Pandit Daramnath Mishra ji accompanying beautifully on the Harmonium.
This excerpt is taken from their performance of the beautiful Raga Basant Mukhari (Scale) in Vilambit Ek Taal (12 beat rhythm cycle) at the Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh festival in Benares, April 2016.
This festival is one of the largest gatherings of musicians and artists in India over a 6 day and night period. It is certainly one of the most mystical experiences for artists and concert goers alike.
