  • Descending from a legendary musical family from the sacred city of Varanasi (Benares), Northern India.
The two brothers have been performing together for over 40 years on the world stage - they are exemplars of traditional khyal vocal artistry and embody the deep millenia old cultural backdrop of the holy city.
A wonderful performance by the brothers to mark the end of the famous Lord Hanuman Temple festival in Varanasi for an 8am concert.
Raga Bhatiyar - a scale for dawn, the early morning.
A Kaashi Arts production in partnership with Recording Earth (recordingearth.com).

Very rare to hear ati vilambit
laya in recent times. Aptly justified by the Meistroes with early morning meditative raag. So point of realisation that time slot not only has bearing on swaras and raaga but also on laya. So much inclusively built is our Indian Classical music. 🙏🙏
