- For his first ever live concert stream, Markus Popp aka Oval presents a radically updated version of his 2020 album “Scis” (new beats, tons of new sounds & improvised parts), live from his Berlin studio.
For this occasion, Popp has teamed up with MODELLOGIA, who are contributing a dynamic, colorful blend of 3D animation, motion graphics, heavily processed retro movies, found footage and video game aesthetics - all performed live during the set and merging many diverse visual narratives into a stimulating, post-organic flow, beautifully accompanying the exhilarating complexity of the audio part.
This event was kindly supported by The German Cultural Center Iasi, FaPt - Art and Theater Production Factory and The Goethe Institute. - Hudba
Amazing artist, such thrust and energy. The art of the pulse, the art of being sensitive to every aspect of music making. I love the fact of flirting with chaos and letting the song win.
criminally underrated
Oval is my new favorite electronic Artist!
Great performance, the projections are perfect. 🎶🌈🎶
Beautiful mang! Do While is one of greatest tracks of all time. Part of the fabric of my existence. 😊
I love your music so much and am extremely excited for Romantiq (pre-order confirmed)!
unglaubliches set, hoffe die tracks werden veröffentlicht!
Овал это всегда гениально
👏👏👏
Music is great but only wish there will be an improved version with better video and sound quality

Marcus, you should stay true to the generative systems and randomised digital processes oriented essence of your great and beautiful project Oval, instead of trying to superficially weld "beats" from other genres onto it, trying to make it "exciting", or trying to "humanise" it by putting voices on top. If you want to do hard and heavy club music, or Pop songs, go for it, but do it for real, as separate projects.
Sorry, but the generative systems are for suckers
It's too sipmle to be a real art
just enough to know the math
So weird to tell an artist how they should realize their works. Lol
