  • The Predator is a 14 x 6 1.2mm copper shell. Copper works really well in the low-mid tuning range, if you like something a bit darker and deeper with the presence only a metal shell can give, this could be the right drum for you.
The Predator has Sonic Saver Hoops, in line locking B lugs and slightly different bearing edge profiles - the batter side is 45 degree, the snare side is 35 degree. The drum is finished in brushed gloss, has chrome hardware and comes fitted with Remo USA Ambassador X Coated batter head and Ambassador Snare Side underside.
The Black Panther Cylinder drive snare mechanism is fitted which allows the snare wires to be incrementally tensioned from both ends of the wire.
Like all Black Panther series drums from recent years this snare comes with a Mapex Black Panther draw string bag which allows you to safely store the drum and protect the hardware and finish when not in use.

Best sounding drum I've heard in ages. I ordered myself one straight after hearing this.

If you don't mind me asking, what are your thoughts on this snare now you own one? I'm torn between this and the Brass Black Panther Metallion

@@Enigmadibs well, tbh i fit all my snares with an Evans HD dry coz that's my favourite so don't know if THAT'S the issue but I CAN'T say i enjoy the in between tones. It sounds really good low and really good high, but the middle ground i haven't found yet. Build quality is great though.

@@Enigmadibs don't know if you've made your choice, but basically Metallion is a bit brighter and "quicker" due to being shallower. Both great. I went with the copper, and I do love it on medium tuning but I still have the original Ambassador X on it (does require a bit of muffling with that head)
