- Fancy some soft-spoken stories about Skyrim? I though you might! So once again, we're diving into The Skyrim Library, Volume 1: The Histories. Today's relaxing Elder Scrolls reading includes the classic "An Explorer's Guide To Skyrim" and the insightful "Skyrim's Rule: An Outsider's View". There are even some pretty pictures to enjoy along the way!

My videos are designed to trigger a relaxing feeling known as ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a particular sensation that some people experience when they hear quiet sounds like whispering and soft speaking, or watch certain actions like slow hand motions. ASMR is often described as a pleasant tingling on the head and neck, accompanied by a feeling of deep calm and mild euphoria. Skyrim is my absolute favourite game of all time. Everyone has that one game that just sticks with them forever and skyrim is definitely mine.
That game is Morrowind for me, but Skyrim is probably a close second!
If I add up all my console and pc hours on skyrim it would easily exceed 4000+ hrs. And I've never gotten bored of it, I remember last summer in the holidays I spent a full on 3 weeks playing it every day, in that time I created 2 new characters and installed 19 more mods. As far as I'm concerned skyrim is one of the few games that cannot get boring solely because of the mods available. The next most played game of mine on steam is oblivion lol
I agree, mods are they key to Skyrim's longevity!

Would you consider tackling some deep lore topics like CHIM, Amaranth, The Arcturian Heresy/ Talos, etc?
In all honesty, that stuff intimidates me. I go to the r/TESlore subreddit every once in a while, and I can't understand half of what they're talking about. I LOVE that the lore goes so deep and is so obscure, but I would need to seriously study up before I could do a video about it!
I love these video's as they are, if you start making them confusing with deep information it will take the fun out of it for ASMRnerd I imagine and further limit upload times due to studying. That and work in RL is all a factor. I truly enjoy the Variety of video's. Please never Change ASMRnerd! lol.

Good suggestion, but I tried it and it doesn't look right, looks like the table is upside down and the book is just kinda hanging there. It's difficult to watch, tbh.

I have no idea if propping the book up at an angle on something sturdy would help, but I feel like perhaps not... I'm trying to envision a solution but it is tricky. D:
Thanks for the suggestion! Sadly, I don't think it would do the trick. The mic setup is very bulky and I have to position in them in front of me, so I need the camera in front of me too in order to have the sound come out right. Previously I had both the mic and the camera between me and the book. I'll just have to keep thinking about possible solutions!

theASMRnerd you arent kidding. i met lots of famous people cause i use to be a Butler at mandalay bay hotel and Casino in Las Vegas but when people get money they tent to forget how they got there and where they came from. well bud have a blessed day keep doing what you doing. i gotta hit the road battling this snow storm that hit the east coast. but i will say this i love my job driving trucks im basically getting paid to travel. and ive been going to this trucking school in vegas when i go home talking to new drivers about trucking and the lifestyle. it feels good to give back to something i feel so passionate about.

this set up isn't as great as the book actually being right side round in relation to the camera, however I totally understand that there are setup limitations. Just do what works for you man, I'll enjoy it regardless
Yeah it's not ideal, and I'll keep thinking about alternatives, but I think this works for now.

Don't know if you've played it, but ghost recon wildlands might be good for a wander type video. Then again do whatever you want, it's your channel and I trust you to always make very relaxing ASMR 😀.

YESSSS, I LOVED PART 1, This one was Just As good, 😀, Request, Can you do Like A Dcuo (DC Universe Online) walk around? I know it will be hard Because of the online players, but Come on, you ASMR Nerd, You can do anything, The game isn't new (2011) and not alot of people play it but it is one of my favorite games i still play today, It is only a request though so don't feel the need to😊,

I very nearly did a Minecraft collab with ER some years ago, but it just never quite came to fruition. I like the idea of collabs, but I wouldn't want to do it just for the sake of gaining access to their viewership, because that's pretty disingenuous. That being said, I've currently got a collab in the works with a long-time ASMR friend and very talented creator, and hopefully you'll see the results of that soon! As for a Wasteland Wander...perhaps one day, when you least expect it xD

theASMRnerd for a video idea there's a pc simulation called Space Engine. You pretty much get to move anywhere u want in the universe and look at planets in and out our solar system. You can speed through the universe going near light speed and just explore.
