It actually completely proves the theory right that men would rather women get violently mauled in the social response of stepping away to “prove their point” A bear will still almost always only attack if it feels threatened, threatens their cubs or out of sheer desperation, that’s the difference. You make many men feel upset online in any way and they start fantasising about memeing you getting mauled. While also pretending to be safe to be around IRL. If you walk away and keep distance from a bear for your own safety he’ll go about his day, if you do the same to some men they’ll take it as a personal attack or challenge.

Trust me, you don't have better odds with a bear. I understand that some men are freaky weirdos, but you're waaay better of fighting one man than one bear. Bears have 2-5 times more muscle mass than the world's strongest man. So fighting one bear is roughly equal to fighting off 4 bodybuilders.

The entire thing is based on the assumption that men might attack a woman, it didn't specify which man😅 Saying men should change to someone a woman would choose over a bear will only change common perception of men by women in about 20 years or so, assuming the majority men all over the world suddenly start acting differently Also you can only control your own actions and choices so you're just gonna get lumped in with all the bad men anyway cuz of broad generalisations

You are correct about temperaments. But you still shouldn’t be hanging out with black bears. You are getting them used to the presence of people. That might cause them to get too close to someone who is dangerous to them like a hunter. Or to start wandering into camps, cabins, and town. In these settings a lot of things can go wrong and result in human injury and eventual death of the bear. For example, that one woman who had a black bear just waltz up to her porch with cubs that ended up killing their dog. Or that black bear that mauled the 10 year old boy in his grandparents back yard and tried to drag him off into the forest. These are still wild animals not dogs
Best analogy i saw was using video games. A boss monster is clearly more likely to kill you than a common minion, but anyone who plays games knows that the minions will always be responsible for more of your deaths, because of the sheer amount of times you come across them.

You can also survive brown bear attacks by laying face down, spreading your legs so it can't flip you over, and interlocking your hands behind your head. Black bears can be spooked away with yelling and flailing your arms out to look bigger.
Aren't they the same guys who like to brag about how men are stronger than women? I can't fight off either one right? I might as well choose the one that will attack for a very limited number of reasons in a limited number of ways.
@@faustina9328 Actually sound reasoning since there is less to avoid, but deadling with those reasons requires preperation and prevention. As in don't be in a situation of a bear attack, hense the debate.
Half right. No sexual assault? Eh, there's been a unsettling number of animals that have raped humans. Don't ask why, I have no idea. But you certainly wouldn't get pregnant.
@@MurasakiTsukimaru Have there been any bears though? And what’s the rate of assault vs just mauling/killing? Sure it’s hard to compare the rate of bear attacks and male violence since we’re always in close proximity to men. But you can still compare the rates of regular violence and sėxual violence that happen during bear attacks. Animals like dolphins for instance are just heinous. Tbf if the question was a male dolphin or a man in the ocean, I might genuinely choose the man. For one, I have a higher chance of drowning the man if he attacks and living, the dolphin ain’t losing on its home turf though.

Dare I go on? The problem is not that women are choosing the bear, most men would too, because PEOPLE are weird. The problem is this "hate all men" culture women have going on (when the irony is that the first one they'd look for if they were attacked by a bear, would be a man) and that they completely take themselves out of the equation in favor of "women are perfect and men are trash"
That's a partial myth. If you played dead, the bear might decide you're not a threat. Granted, if you did it wrong, it might kill you anyway while checking (Lay on your stomach, legs apart so it can't easily turn you over, and cover the back of your neck with your hands). But if it's only interested in "Is this a threat", it's liable to leave you alone. Of course, if it's hungry, you've just made it easier so you might die faster.
I was walking around the square of my town, not super crowded but also not empty, and still some man just came up to me and was like, "hey, I've seen you walking around for a while, what are you up to? Where are you going? Are you married? Are you sure?" So yeah, bear please.
@Poorly-drawn-Fox Yup! He probably didn't believe me, assuming that I was lying about it so that he would leave me alone. It actually completely proves the theory right that men would rather women get violently mauled in the social response of stepping away to “prove their point”
A bear will still almost always only attack if it feels threatened, threatens their cubs or out of sheer desperation, that’s the difference. You make many men feel upset online in any way and they start fantasising about memeing you getting mauled. While also pretending to be safe to be around IRL. I mean I comment stuff like that because people shouldn't be messing with wildlife. An angry deer will absolutely gore you, people shouldn't feed them :) they need to maintain their fear of people for their own sakes. I'd love to have little wildlife friends but it just isn't safe for them.
Fr a deer of all animals too?? Humans (including creepy men and creeps in general going after what they want without regard for anyone or anything else, predator is a very accurate description) have a way bigger capacity for aggression than deer. Seems like ppl just like to label random animals as aggressive bc they dont understand them and have never seen or dealt with them irl
I feel like animals most of the time are aggressive to people who provoke them and men are usually the sex to do that so that’s why maybe they don’t like animals
Yeah they assume all animals have the same bloodthirst that they do, and not that they specifically are the problem
You probably shouldn’t feed deer just so they don’t come to rely on humans for food, but yeah, they aren’t going to randomly attack you if you interact with them.

@UnrealityMatrix dude, jeez. Steve knew what he was doing, he knew that these animals are dangerous. And even his own family has said that they know he wouldn't blame the animal, or want anyone else to

To pick a bear particularly of the grizzly brown or asiatic variety (the most aggressive types and very likely to attack) as a normal person when someone of Steve Irwins skill and renown and competency was killed by a common stingray is the height of arrogance. I actually respect the man he was my childhood hero. I know I couldn't do what he did and reasonably expect to live a long life.
@@UnrealityMatrix While swimming in chest-deep water, Steve Irwin approached a short-tail stingray, with an approximate span of two metres (6 ft 7 in), from the rear, in order to film it swimming away. That's kind of adorable honestly.

You could also come to the conclusion that this just shows how much we tend to stereotype things, the main argument I’ve seen from women is “if some men are bad and have hurt me can’t I be weary of all men?” Basically because there’s a chance then id avoid it.
You can literally take that idea and apply it to real life and see the disasters it caused. During the blm movements some people had that same idea… because some cops were bad (fact) all cops shouldn’t be trusted (false) and things like defund the police etc stemmed from that
You can also apply it with the wall being built in America trumps logic is the same, because some immigrants do illegal stuff we should deport a bunch of people and bar them out from ever entering. (You could probably see how this effects people)

I was walking around the square of my town, not super crowded but also not empty, and still some man just came up to me and was like, "hey, I've seen you walking around for a while, what are you up to? Where are you going? Are you married? Are you sure?" So yeah, bear please.
Wait was the dude asking if you were sure that you are married
@Poorly-drawn-Fox Yup! He probably didn't believe me, assuming that I was lying about it so that he would leave me alone. Which like, yeah, I would totally do that and was fully prepared to talk about a husband that I dont have (I'm lesbian), but him following up with "are you sure?" isn't gonna make me be like, "ya got me, I was lying."
@wizardlizard3641 he's literally AWARE that it's making you uncomfortable with the "are you sure" yet still thinks he can get past that?? Wtf is wrong with men I can never understand yet they say women are a mystery when they purposely dodge the actual reason to validate their own feelings MY GODD
Okay? I've been stopped by cops who thought I was suspicious because "He's seen me walking around in this area before". Yes? I've lived in this town for six years.
@MurasakiTsukimaru yeah, cops are also known to harass people for no good reason. I'd take the bear over a man or a cop, both are way more high risk than I want to deal with.
WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT HOW CUTE THAT BEAR ONESIE IS??
I saw a video Snapchat this morning where the bear was trying to get away from the man and the man said “I promise I’m nice” 😂
I choked a little when you said promising future in water polo, I don’t think I’ll ever forget that case. I love how no college wants him now because of what he did so giving him leniency was really for nothing. His career was ruined the moment he decided that was an ok thing to do. But enough about him, the woman’s name is Chanel Miller, and I think she wanted people to know her name, because she literally titled the book about the experience “know my name”
Holy I didn’t even know she wrote a book. Thanks!
Ok I had no idea "water polo" was a reference to something. Can someone explain I'm lost
@@sierralastname5448 It’s a reference to Brock Turner - he raped Chanel Miller. During the trial the judge justified the lenient sentence, by stating that he had a promising future as a student with a swimming scholarship at an elite university that shouldn’t be interfered with too much.
@@sierralastname5448 the Chanel Miller vs Brock Turner case. They gave him an insultingly short sentence because they didn’t want to hurt his chances of becoming an Olympic athlete, but no college wants him to swim for them because he assaulted someone, so they really cut him all that slack for no reason.
@@laurenrae7091 this is why i say that the justice system is whack.
