I wish the director and producers of the Witcher would have listened. I could see both of these actors in a 40k movie. Chalamet would make a great inquisitor.
Dune is notoriously a difficult book to read because frank Herbert doesn’t baby the audience and doesn’t come right out and say what is good and what is evil. It’s nuanced and thought provoking, but effortless it is not. It’s an amazing book and it’s a very fruitful re-read, but that’s just because there is so much you can miss about the characters or what Herbert is trying to convey. Amazing book, easy read no.
@@katelynngraham2738 The man is getting paid millions of dollars, investing time and reading to prepare is what he should be doing. The fact the other actors are not is just crazy.
@@Mrflu55y I think it's good he did but not exactly necessary. Adaptations are complex and Denis Villenueve's Dune is not Frank Herbert's Dune. Because of this changes are made to better fit the story to the run time, or fit Denis' vision. The screenplay is more important to an actor to read and make notes of. Good on Tim (the lead) for reading it to get a better feel for the world and relationships but I wouldn't expect people like Florence Pugh or even Dave Bautista who only have a couple scenes/days on set to have the same commitment.
@@katelynngraham2738it’s also extremely internal monologue heavy and generally pensive in tone. Some people dislike his prose but I think it sucks me in and puts me in a state of mind similar to Paul’s
I’m sorry but frank Herbert’s writing style is NOT an easy read. You can spend an hour just trying to figure out the meaning of the chapter header. Dude was a genius and didn’t baby his audience. I would have my future kids read it in highschool but no earlier. Dune isn’t Harry Potter and while Lord of the Rings is better in my opinion it is not easy to understand the story or the characters like it is in Lord of the Rings
HONESTLY, they can talk shit, but Timy CRUSHED IT, KILLED IT, like...burned the stage TO THE GROUND...I can't even describe it...maybe some of y'all won't agree with me, but I think he'll be known for this role...maybe even in the way Jonny Depp is known for Pirates of the Carribbean, or the way Keanu Reeves is known for Matrix...I swear I can see it...😭🥹
He OWNED this role. No one could’ve done it better
He’s so perfect for it. 🤎
Timothée absolutely killed this role! He was incredible and the perfect pick I can't imagine them going with anyone else

HE IS PAUL MUADIB USUL ATREIDES!!! ( Correct me if I'm wrong).
That's what being a man is all about, you strive to prove your worth even though your experience proves you are already worthy.
Kind of a tough read? U serious?
so reading a good book is some crazy effort? Oh calm down.

my copy of dune is 794 pages long and most of that is long descriptions of how awful the harkonnens are
