It's hard to tell. It was said that there were many Exoto OEM factories. They had different levels of OEM. The expensive ones are very expensive and the cheap ones are very cheap. For expensive high-end series, Exoto is better than CMC, and much more detailed, like this D-Type. For very cheap series. It's like toys. And not nearly as good as CMC.
@@automodelromance503 I had the chance of buying D type in 2017/18ish for under 1k, unfortuantely didnt pay much attention to it and lost out on it. Granted I still have their Ferrari 500 F2 and Sauber Mercedes C9 but both of them don't even come close to the renowed XS series.
@@richardzhang2773 I also bought the D type back in 2018 for around $500, but because of some defects, I sold it for $600 a month later. Never thought the d type would rise up to 6x the price😂 Another one I acquired was 156 f1 for $400, that one didn’t gain much value ever since. I collect many other exoto models (not xs) simply because I can’t afford xs series anymore and I agree that XS represents the highest detailed 1/18 even till these days. CMC on the other hand, in case it’s not some old Ferraris, you can get the best detailed model with same price compare to exoto.
